“Yesterday I bought a pair of Ecco walking shoes from one of Oxford street branches and I wore them immediately threw the old pair away happily to walk and get home by tube. but had pain and sore blistered, calloused feet by the time I got back home! I have been a customer for Ecco for more than 15 years, I am very disappointed with them. My size is 44.5 which is 10.5 and the new Ecco sizes now 10.5 to 11.oo !!!! The pair I 've bought thought would be the right size which was not. They are now the most uncomfortable shoes and for what you get they are ridiculously expensive! I will never buy it again!”

“I bought a pair of ECCO golf shoes from a golf shop. Couple of the spikes (plastic) fell off with month or so the spikes are bayonet type made by Champ. So I was able to replace them. However more spike have fallen off, this time complete with the socket. It seems the sockets for the spikes are not moulded into the sole but mechanically trapped into a recess. This is a fundamentally poor design for golf shoes. They are not fit for purpose.”

“Whole experience was very bad. Long time to receive the shoes, size didnt fit so I returned and have been waiting for a refund for two weeks, tomorrow. They dont answer there customer care telephonesand the many emails I sent I have had no answer to reply to where my refund is. Terrible”

“The soles completely disintegrated leaving chunks and bits of black material all over the floor. Seems that this is a common complaint.”

“I have a pair of ecco walking shoes and the soles fell apart leaving little chunks of the rubber material everywhere. The shoes were about 9 years old, but the deterioration of the sole and heel material was astonishing and something I have never seen before. I saw a review that had the same thing happen to their shoes.”

“My husband's ecco soles literally disintegrated and left small black chunks all over the reception hall floor. The leather uppers were fine, but I have never seen a shoe fall apart like that before. Terrible quality.”

“I took a faulty pair of Ecco ladies shoes into the Covent Garden store and they were so helpful. The Manager agreed a 50% reduction on a new pair and handed me over to Mohamed. He was extremely patient and an excellent member of their sales team. So top marks for Mohamed who managed to find me a pair of replacement shoes into which my orthotics could comfortably fit.”

“I get sore feet and walking my dog 2 hours a day I need good shoes. I bought ecco goretex walking shoes second hand and they've been very comfortable and waterproof. I also bought ankle boots new and again they are so comfortable. I am on my feet a lot at work so they're perfect. Love them!!”

“Even 1 star is too much for the worst shoes I’ve ever worn! Our hotel ordered Ecco shoes for its 300+ employees - every single person had a complaint with sore blistered, caloused feet! They are the most uncomfortable shoes and for what you get they are ridiculously expensive! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!”

“Don't buy via eccoshoesuk.com. They took my money but then cancelled order not sending me notification. I hade to ring them to clarify situation. They made a refund as they said but my money still didn't come back 7 days passed. So I lost my 109 gbp and don't know if I will get them back. So they just robbed me.”

“Purchased a pair of Ecco dress shoes and wore them all of about three times. Last night, in the middle of a formal event, the soles started to literally fall apart. I was tracking black rubber all over the gala hall. I have never seen anything like it before in my life. It was embarrassing and put me in a real bind as the event had just started and I had shoes that were literally falling apart with every step I took. Will be the last pair of Ecco shoes I ever buy. Upon doing a quick search, I do not seem to be the only one this has happened to!!”

“I purchased a pair of golf shoes directly from ECCO (my 4th pair) on sale on their website. I wore them twice, and had the worst arch/heel pain/blisters that I have ever had from wearing a pair of golf shoes. When I contacted ECCO they offered to send me insoles, since it was outside of the 60 day return policy. I'm confident that this will not solve the problem as the quality of these shoes is poor...very cheap, hard plastic. This will be my last ECCO purchase.”

“Ecco shoes are one of the few offering a loose foot bed, this is usually essential to those many of us who have orthotics. Whether or not you use orthotics these shoes are extremely well made in 'soft' leather and are very comfortable. Available via the online shop giving top service they come on free delivery and return, essential with shoe purchasing as fitting can be difficult, these shoes are available for day wear, sport, golf, running, they cover every activity. Its lovely to go to a supplier who can keep your feet happy, these people do.”

“Online sale in January 2018. I ordered two pairs of shoes. I got an automated order confirmation and my credit card was charged immediately. No shoes arrived, and no communication from Ecco. I phoned them one week later. Said one pair out of stock, one still scheduled, needed to confirm. They credited my credit card for one pair. A further week passed with no communication. Still no shoes, still been charged. They should not charge credit card until order fulfilled, but they charge on order placement. Their systems appear not fit for purpose.”
