Scam alert!!!! Etsy and driving desires took payment never delivered. Refuse to refund or follow up on purchase postage or delivery SCAM!!!!!

now that I can write a review since the website wouldn't let me. I bought a music box for my now ex back in Christmas. the craft of the box was good but there are whole in the lid that the merchant could of filled with wood putty. the sound quality was garbage, they used a sound card like the ones in birthday cards not the metal cylinder. I emailed her for a refund and she replied no refunds sorry. The item was expensive to and for the quality it's pretty crappy.

This review is to MJ owner of MJs4848, Now that I can write a review for this person because the website wouldn't let me. I bought a music box for my now ex back in Christmas. When I got the music box the craft was good but there were holes in the lid that they could of filled with wood putty but left them, that's hack work right there. The music device that they put in there wasn't what you usually see in a music box no metal cylinder. It was just a crappy sound card that she save it on to. The same thing you find in those birthday cards that make music. I emailed her and she said sorry no refunds even though her page said refunds.

People might not aware that purchasing goods from scammer is to support bad business therefore can bring bad luck to home. Here is how we suffered from an Etsy cheating scammer MaljiArts: (1) In early August, the Etsy seller MaljiArts took our order of a customized carving of sandalwood item for US$900 that shipping in 25 days, with US$500 deposit and balance of US$400 payable before shipping the item. But MaljiArts never worked on this order seriously; (2) MaljiArts made us work very hard for two months to teach him how to correct all his negligent mistakes by describing the meanings of our design. Until On 30th September, MaljiArts suddenly stopped replying to our messages. (3) We reported this problem to Etsy Chat staff because we could not reach MaljiArts. Thereafter, an Etsy support staff informed us that he has contacted MaljiArts and MaljiArts suddenly messaged us to ask a question of the item's design detail. (4) The Etsy support staff also advise us to "keeping a strong line of communication with the seller in regards to this order" after reading our message conversations with MaljiArts during the two months of teaching the seller. Therefore, we asked MaljiArts to set up a proper selling listing (Etsy staff told us that MaljiArts did not do so when requested the US$500 deposit) for us to pay the balance of US$400 and to ship the item after one week. In fact, the entire carving of the item should have been completed in about a week). (5) On October 7th, 2020, MaljiArts suddenly "closed" our order and told us and the Etsy support staff, that they won't sell the item and would "refund" us our US$500 deposit the same day (. (6) We have to follow MaljiArts' instruction to request the US$500 refund via PayPal, but MaljiArts canceled our request by giving us a different PayPal email account. We immediately used the new PayPal account that given by MaljiArts to send the refund request again, MaljiArts still playing trick with PayPal but do not pay the money (today is October 15th). Furthermore, (7) In the meantime, MaljiArts made a listing to sell the near completed order of our design. We only realised at this point in time that MaljiArts is not only a scammer but also a thief, they stole our design and even used our explanation as their Etsy listing description.(8) Since we continually reported to the Etsy that MaljiArts still don't pay their initiated "refund" of the US$500, MaljiArts sent us and the Etsy support staff, their chat screenshot with PayPal, to tell us that Maljiarts DO NOT have money in their PayPal account to pay their US$500 refund to us. Therefore, the refund is not paid because MaljiArts asked PayPal to use PayPal's money to pay the US$500 refund and book it as a "negative amount" to MaljiArts' PayPal account. MaljiArts have said to everyone that: now it is PayPal's responsibility to pay the US$500 to us, that it has nothing to do with MaljiArts' anymore. What a completely professional scam! It is far beyond our imagination that this can happen on Etsy's selling platform with Etsy's support. We are telling this horrible experience in this review and other review platform regarding Etsy. Now, we paid this Etsy seller MaljiArts US$500 and worked extremely hard for two months to teach MalljiArts for them to steal our original design work. Etsy wanted to use $50 gift card as the solution for this problem, and PayPal informed us that: "M AND R HANDICRAFTS (MaljiArts' PayPal account) has made a partial refund offer for $50.00 USD. We encourage you to respond to M AND R HANDICRAFTS as soon as possible to resolve your issue.....If you're unable to resolve this issue with the seller, you or the seller can escalate it to a PayPal claim before 27 October 2020. Otherwise, this case will be automatically closed on 27 October 2020. Once a case has been closed, it can't be reopened or escalated to a PayPal claim". We informed Etsy that we do not take Etsy's $50 gift card and refused MaljiArts' partial $50 refund offer. Therefore our refund request is still handling by PayPal.

My order was sent to a different address then my shipping and billing address when I contacted the shop owner was not helpful said it wasn't her fault and after many attempts to reach esty customer service I just got dead ends would let go to place to file a report so I m out the money and the item which was supposed to be a gift will never order from esty again they don't care about their customers

My account is still suspended without a reason or any emails explaining why. This seems to be a widespread issue. A simple google search will show many people with this confusing issue. I’ve checked my junk mail. Nothing. I haven’t done anything to be suspended. I’ve reached out to Etsy multiple times to resolve the issue to no avail. I’m honestly disappointed. I was very excited to plan our wedding using Etsy small business vendors. I really wanted to support your company. Wanting to support your company set back wedding planning. I had everything that we wanted to purchase ready and planned. I had to start over finding new vendors outside of Etsy. I think the small business owners would be disappointed to know that potential customers are being blocked from purchasing on Etsy. Especially in the midst of an economic crisis that’s effecting small business owners the most. It’s also bad business to block potential business and go weeks without responding to customers who are seeking out assistance in supporting your platform. It’s hard to feel valued by a company who neglects their customers and business owners who trust you with a large part of their livelihoods. I’ve read on multiple message boards that this issue is happening without cause to a large number of customers and business owners. The common theme is that Etsy never responded. Some business owners stated they lost sales because of the lack of responsiveness. Getting in contact with Etsy is pretty impossible. Bad business.

Etsy hacked my mother's credit card for a fictitious charge of $62 and then hacked it again for a "GW2" charge of $1, which USSA credit card informed us was a well-known Etsy fraudulent credit card scam meant to hack information and continue fictitious charges. The $1 was on the statement listed as a "catalogue." My mother had to have the charges blocked and an entirely new credit card number issued to her over this. BUYER BEWARE STAY AWAY from Etsy!!

My mother's credit card was hacked due to Etsy fictitious charges. An unknown $62 and the credit card had to block the charge and issue her a whole new card. On top of that, they charged her another $1 "GW2," which the credit card company (USAA) reported to us was a known Etsy fraudulent credit card scam practice. The $1 was listed on the account as a charge for a "catalogue" we never ordered! Etsy is trash! A bunch of scammers- BUYER BEWARE Stay AWAY!!!

Etsy is getting this 1 star review for not following their own policies. As a shop owner, reviews about 3rd parties are supposed to be removed yet they have not taken down multiple reviews that are solely due to the USPS's slow shipping service which is exactly what a 3rd party is. I hope this company goes bankrupt.

I've started selling on Etsy 2 weeks ago. For the first 10 days, my shop was not visible to anyone else, and I had already paid $20 to Etsy. I sent Etsy an email, and they took 7 days to reply. After 2 days of being able to sell, my account was blocked without any reason. I decided then to close my shop. I paid my balance, and I sent Etsy an email asking then to close my account. After 2 days without a reply, they didn't delete the account, then they unblocked it without my consent and started running ads. They stole $37 from me while I was sleeping. Because of the ads that I didn't want, as I had asked for my account to be deleted, I got one sale that I won't fulfill. I am unable to cancel the order, as they want me to pay for it. The customer service is terrible, they ignore you and treat you badly. I won't give Etsy one more cent. Don't sell on Etsy, you will have zero support from them. T Terrible company. I am sure they will go out of business soon, it's impossible to treat your customers this bad and get away with it.

Etsy has 2027 listings for WEED PIPES on their website, when I posted a hand-made ceremonial native pipe - they took my posting down and said it was an infringement on their regulations regarding cannabis?!?!? WTH. LOL - weed pipes are okay, along with papers, blunts, one hitters,paraphenelia etc..... but DO NOT list a ceremonial pipe otherwise you are reprimanded and threatened by Etsy to take down your entire store. Absolutely disgraceful. No customer service either - No email or contact phone number in Canada. You can pay for customer service - otherwise there is none. This company is outrageous.
