Sent my iphone SE 2022 to sell and was quoted £175. Received an email to say the phone was an iphone SE 2022 which was scratched and would require a new screen and housing. I was then offered £30 Complained and sent the original invoice in and was told that I must have accidentally sent the wrong phone!! The phone I sent in was in really good condition so I am absolutely gutted. I will be involving Trading Standards and the police.

I was trying to sell my iPhone with them. Phone was in excellent cosmetic condition, battery health of 85% and no scratches. Quote was for £130…. Engineer has apparently looked at it today, deemed that the battery has been used heavily and now there would seem to be scratches on the screen. Lo and behold the price being offered has dropped to £70, less even than what they would apparently give for a phone in poor condition. Cowboys….. BEWARE!

I sent a phone to this company to be recycled. I gave the phone a thorough check before sending it away and I deemed it in excellent condition. First they offered me £110 less than their original quote as there was a problem with the battery. I challenged this as the battery had over 90% life left and they then backtracked and said it was the appearance. Offering me £20 more then £20 more again. I asked for photos and almost 24 hours later they sent me some. I don’t believe these were of my phone but I feared a damaged phone being returned. Don’t trust these guys. Absolute cowboys!

I sent them a pristine phone -iPhone 12 Pro Max which they had quoted me £435.00 as a sell. They lied saying there was a scratch on it which I know there wasn't. They offered me £285.00 and after having read the experiences on here accepted as I would just expect them to return it scratched. Scam company, avoid. Shame Trustpilot isn't trustworthy.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! These 5 star reviews have to be fake. I had the same experience as the other low star reviews. Handtec offered £130 for my phone on the website, it was in mint condition, no scratches, no dents. Lo and behold, much like the others, they said the screen was scratched and charging port was dented and revised their offer to £95. I sent them pictures of the phone before I sent it off and asked them for proof of the dents and scratches they mentioned. They said they sent pictures back but they were nowhere to be found even though I asked them multiple times to send them. They then revised their offer to £105. Stuck between the phone getting "lost" in transit and losing everything, or taking their offer. I opted to take their offer.

Bought a refurbished iPhone 7 from them , it stopped working within weeks sent it back . When I received it back they hadn’t fixed it and told me to send back and I would be more or less charged £30 if it didn’t have any of the issues I mentioned . The way it was written it felt like a threat . In the end up I did not return it to them . I have no mobile phone at the moment and am scrimping and saving to buy another mobile phone as it’s a necessity . I had originally gave them a 5 star review on trust pilot but they ask for a review just after receiving the phone so obviously they will get positive reviews . This company are sending out barely working phones that have scratches and marks on them , mine was meant to be in pristine condition and supposedly premium Warrenty .in hindsight I should have sent back as soon as I got it and got my money back . Be warned this company only want to make a quick buck , as I emailed to them shame on you handtec

Posted my S10e in very good working order and condition but had low battery due usage. After few weeks got a reply from them saying few faults and substantially reduced offer price, not acceptable, if I have known gone somewhere else. The hassle and stress just isn't worth it.

Purchased the Samsung S20 Ultra in excellent condition. The screen was damaged and I immediately informed them within a few mins of receiving the item and sent pics. They trued to claim it was a smudge, we initially thought that and tried to rub it off. However, it did not budge. We asked for a partial refund to take it down to the next grade. Which they didn't entertain. I opened a case with PayPal, I then started to get emails telling me to close the dispute, that they had refunded me. After checking, seeing they had not done so. I had had to complain to paypal regarding this sellers behaviour. They are now investigating the company. Paypal confirmed no refund or communication has been made through the dispute. I was told by never ever to close a dispute, as it could not be reopened. Paypal are looking at fraudulent behaviour with the company. Please do not buy from this company. I purchased a mobile also from a company called Ghecko mobiles, absolutely fantastic purchased under very good and is in better condition than this company claiming a mobile to be excellent. This is the review I posted on trustpilot. As a buyers experience. Since this review, they have tried their best to get it remover, I have been forced to provide evidence of the purchase as they are trying to claim I made a false review. Even though I have screen shots of communication and order number and receipt of purchase in my emails, I feel they do this to anyone who leaves a negative review, unfortunately some people cant be bothered to go through this, which then the review gets removed. Absolutely no way will I allow this to happen. Disgusting company

Please do not be fooled like I was with the 5* reviews from TrustPilot. After looking through them, it's very obvious that they are either bots or paid individuals which TrustPilot should seriously sort out. Like with so many other people here. I waited an excessive amount of time for them to receive and test my phone I was selling. Then was offered below the quoted price (has anyone actually received their quoted price?). This almost bait and switch tactic is at least not legally advisable and at most straight up illegal. I'm certain that trading standards would have a field day with these people. They failed to provide proof of so called scratches to the device that their "engineer" found, instead being deliberately avoidant and ignoring my questions and demand for proof, eventually after a lot of back and forth, they had told me that they were sending it back to me as they could not prove the damages, pathetic response. Thankfully and very luckily, I received the exact same phone back with no new damages, however I am aware there are many reviews on here where they received either a different device back, a damaged version of their device or even in some cases both! After some light digging, you can see that their address to send to is a PO box with a postcode that apparently has been out of service for years as you cannot locate it on maps. Their "office" is just a house in the local area. You can also see that this is mostly a one man operation rather than having a "team". All very misleading with trying to build a picture to customers and potential customers of a fully fledged business that has been going for "almost 20 years", what a load of rubbish. The Terms & Conditions on their site is also very damning, having the gall to list contact details for Citizens Advice and other legal advice services. Clearly they think that they are above the law. They also talk about a £30 charge for returning the item to you however I can see based on the real reviews that this is only sometimes enforced, holding your phone/device at ransom, and forcing you to accept a lower quote. I imagine this is there for people who they think they can extract money from more easily. The only positive I can state is that my device was returned back to me in around 24 hours and in the same condition. But I think this was more to do with the fact that my device was slightly obscure with none others in stock on their site, and because I had called them out on their misquote. Either way, it was horrible after seeing the real reviews, waiting for potentially a broken or ruined phone which I would lose a lot more money on. I can't tell you how relieved I was to have it back in one piece (despite the lazy and incompetent packaging "effort"). There is a large number of other worrying and very questionable things on the company that I found. But I'm sure eventually it will all catch up to them and they can be exposed as the cheating people/person they really are. If you absolutely must use this business to sell your phone/device. Please take lots of photos of it before hand and note/document any unique serial numbers and do not be afraid to call them out on this. Also be aware of the risks and read reviews on them across a number of review sites. It seems buying from them may be slightly better as an experience but I would personally not risk it. I feel silly for falling for this, and honestly CEX offered me more than even their initial quote so try selling there or somewhere more properly reputable. I think the main take-away for me and hopefully for others reading this. Is to do a lot more research before buying/selling/sending any item/service online or indeed in person. Read a variety of reviews across a range of multiple review sites, not just the big sites like trustpilot and make sure that you have a complete and full picture of who it is you are conducting business with. It could end up in theft and/or loss of money.

Unable to rate them less that one star. Do not engage with this company, they hid their google reviews (Just check other review pages to see why) The company commonly enages with the below practices: - Purposely damaging phones to lower price they will offer you (Make sure you take detailed time stamped pictures before shipping anything to these people) - Sending back different phones (make sure you record serial number/IMEI) - Use cheap non-OEM parts for repairs (if they actually do anything usually only after they purposely damage it - Phones with cheap non-OEM parts are likely to fail or be short lived. - Difficult and slow customer service. - Company pays to be at the top of google searches. I will be reporting to trading standards and pursuing them legally to prevent this continuing and make sure the companies practices are investigated. If you are looking to buy second hand please look and support people on your local market places or order from reputable companies such as BackMarket.co.uk who offer far superior service and swift and easy customer service

Recycle a phone with this company at your own risk! It is apparent that their policy is to massively lowball you on the agreed offer for your phone by exaggerating defects only to suddenly be able to up the offer when you object after apparently 'letting another engineer have a look at it'! This is clearly a dishonest practice and I can't believe they have the good Trustpilot score that led me to deal with them. I honestly think this must be manipulated somehow. I was then told my phone would be returned after I demanded it back as per their advertised policy but I was then locked out of my account and had no reply to multiple email messages asking for tracking or any kind of update. There is no contact phone number for them and the chat feature on their site is obviously just targeted at sales and not any kind of support as I had no luck there either. I was looking into my legal options when my phone suddenly arrived back with me today, thankfully in the same condition I sent it albeit sans screen protector. Anyway, I am not impressed with this company or sellmymobile.com who led me there and based on the obvious dishonesty and terrible customer service that this company has displayed. I would not advise buying a phone from them either.

Awful company. Don't use even when recommended by sell my phone. Offered me £61. When received they offer £5!! Say very deep scratches. A lie as I took photos before sending the phone. Now waiting for it back, just wished I'd read this review before sending. DON'T GO NEAR THEM AND BE WARY OF SELLMYPHONE RECOMMENDING THEM.

Do not trust this provider. I was quoted £162 to sell an iPhone XS. I posted it off in their box, leaving the protective silicone case, and added some padding as the phone was in very good condition. The site stated "Every part of your device needs to be working as it did when it was new, (e.g. charging port still needs to work). It can have signs of use, but cannot have any chips, dents, or cracks." The phone met all these requirements. The response I got after they had my phone was that they would only offer £100. I asked them to return it, they then offered £115. I still said no.  I wouldn't trust them. The phone was in very good condition going to them. Curious as to what I'll receive back... I'll update when returned to me. For now, I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE
