Avoid at all costs!! not even 1 star is deserved I wish I had read the reviews I was offered £202 for working with a cracked screen reduced to £60 saying all sorts of rubbish what an absolute con. I have asked for my phone to be returned I am just hoping it does not come back with additional damage!! Don’t waste your time with this company!

Do NOT Waste your time selling your phone to them. after i sent them my device they try to make an excuse about the battery not being good and phone having some dents and scratches so they dropped the offer from £420 to £313. anyway i asked them to return my phone and re-sold it to VENDI for £420 and £10 extra for sending the phone on 1st class delivery on same day they recieved my phone they immediately gave me the full money. thats my honest review.

Don't Buy Refurbished From Handtec AVOID, terrible customer service, no transparency and no communication. My partner purchased a refurbished iphone from them only 1 yr ago, suddenly it stopped receiving phone and data signal. He took it to the Apple store who ran a check on it and produced a report stating clearly there was no evidence of water damage or misuse and the fault was due to a hardware issue. A return was organised with Handtec and the phone was sent off with this report in the expectation that they would perform a professional investigation and offer either a replacement or at the very least some kind of voucher towards another purchase with them. We received no communication from Handtec apart from an automated email saying a parcel has been returned back to us. We were then told that in the 48hrs since we had posted this to them and they had returned the same parcel, they had apparently opened up the phone and found water damage was the cause of the loss of phone signal and data (despite nothing else being wrong with the phone). This was clearly bull**** and designed to put them in a position where we could not argue our case. Despite this we tried to contact customer services who just told us the same story about water damage without even asking for the details of our case (suspicious?!). We were told there was no way to speak to anyone more senior and that we could only email them, which we did, ensuring a copy of the report from Apple was attached, and got exactly the same response about water damage with all our questions left unanswered and ignored. Booked another appointment at the Apple store with the same phone that had been returned to us, explained the situation, and within 20 mins walked out with a new refurbished model. We will never again use Handtec and would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone else despite having otherwise had positive experiences with them in the past.

Absolute bunch of cowboys. They offer high, knock it down to a fraction of the price and then make it difficult to get your phone back. Offered me £420 for a nearly new iPhone, found 'significant scratches on the screen' and halved their quote to £200. Just want it back but now they're non responsive. Absolute bunch of cowboys. Avoid!

This company are a bunch of wide boys. I used a comparison site and handtec offered the most by a couple of quid. So I had them send one of their phone packages, followed the instructions, sent my phone and waited. After a few days they emailed to advise that my phone, used but perfect cosmetic condition (as it had, up until the day I sent it to handtec lived in the mother of all protective cases), had significant damage and was not worth the £85 offered but only £30. Well I emailed back, told them they were wrong, fraudulent and they could return my phone right now! To be fair they did.. and I left it in their packaging to send it to a company called WeBuyTek who had offered slightly less.... in less than 24 hours I had emails to say it had arrived, was being checked, that payment was on the way and that payment had arrived. So if you are looking for an excellent honest service I can personally recommend WeBuyTek and would definitely look to use them in the future. I would also advise to avoid handtec like the lying cheating plague they are!

I should have checked these review first...similar experience. They offered 120, so sent it off. The company claimed that there was a chip on Home button, which definately wasnt there, now revised to 15. I would take all possible cautions to deal with this company, taking photos before sending phones to them, otherwise, they would claim all they want.

My experience is an echo of the other reviews here. Wish I’d read these and some some research before I sent them my phone. Quoted £89, revised to £40 due to ‘chips on the frame’. Total BS, it wasn’t new but it was in decent condition. I would stay well away from these people in future.

Absolute crooks! Offered me £450 for my phone, that was in absolutely perfect condition all over, had been in a case with a screen protector and literally didn't have a single mark at all and then when they received it they said they were able to find a scratch on the back not visible to the eye but they were able to see it under a microscope using a UV light and they had revised my offer to £80, I am literally speechless beyond belief, never have I ever experienced such a terrible company in all my life, they do offer the most but these offers are FAKE and after seeing everyone else's reviews on here this confirms that their tactic is to lure you in with a false offer and then tell you they've found a scratch and are reducing the offer by 90% and if you don't respond to the email they will automatically put it through and keep your phone!

Terrible company to sell your phone, offered £450 for then to revise the offer and say there was loads of scratches which there was none at all, been waiting a week for my money to go into the bank and still nothing so I’d keep away at all costs.

Terrible, offer you top draw valuations then once they receive the phone, there's always deep scratches. These will be featuring on rouge traders before long.

quoted me 285 for my note 10. i sent it and they came back with there're some visible scratch on the screen -- i guess they looked with a microscope or something. Then that the camera lens is broken inside -- 100% sure this wasn't the case. however, i did have a very tiny crack/more like a scratch on the lens cover before sending it. after reading reviews here, i feared the worst. they came back with 240. i turned that down i requested my phone be sent back back to me. they came back with 250. to avoid the hassle, i made them an offer of 260 which they accepted and paid on the same day. overall, not too bad.

Sent my mint condition used phone off to sell. Second handset that was rarely used. Value £200. Evidence of condition taken. Offered £40 due to poor condition? Ask to have it sent back. Received back with a damaged screen they had caused. With chips and scratches.

Terrible Company Offered me £45 for my item, the item was in perfect condition They then contacted me saying it was scratched and only offered me £10. I said no and recieved the item back only go find they just send the watch and not the box and accessories back, still waiting for compensation as this is theft in my eyes. So not only have they scratched my watch, they have also stolen my accessories and box too. Ridiculous

AVOID! Like other customers...I was offered a good price but after I chased them up for my offer, (they did not get in touch with me once they received it), they offered me £20 less than my original offer. My mobile was like new - it did not have one signal mark on it...however they said they discovered many...lies! However, I did not want my mobile returned in a poor condition so I settled! Imagine if they did that with every customer...great profits! I would NOT recommend this company.

After sending my phone for final evaluation following the offer from HandTec I saw another review site for Handtec with 1.5 stars. After reading some of the reviews I expected the worse and a low final offer. After less than a week I got an email from Handtec saying the full offer price had been paid into my account, which it had.

I'd rather give no stars! Got a good quote to start but after the engineer had inspected it the quote had reduced by over £100 stating that it had big gauges in the screen. This was not the case just natural wear and tear for a phone that is 2 years old. On receiving my phone back there were considerably more scratches than when I had sent it off. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Don’t believe the price given you won’t have it just wasting your time they said it was scratched but it was a unwanted upgrade out of a box brand new when returning they said didn’t have my address but they had it to send the packaging all lies with handtec eventually got the iPhone 11 back sold to music magpie not a problem smooth transaction stay away from handtec for selling can’t comment on buying but selling a big no no

No experience of this particular company but the ‘sepsis’ exists even with John Lewis. ...bought a new IPad Air and the assistant went online to do an exchange with their stinking partners. I was promised £129 and got an offer of 45 because of damage that did not exist. Will not be buying a second-hand phone from this or any similar rat pack or anything electronic fro John Lewis.
