There are lots of reviews that are negative on ID Mobile but this is my experience. The prices of the SIM Deals and contracts are great and I am currently using ID Mobile as an eSIM on my dual SIM device paired with my Primary Three SIM. Speaking of Three, ID Mobile uses Three’s network whom they claim to be the fastest in the UK. The signal is great and my Three SIM and ID SIM get the same amount of bars and connectivity. Testing ID Mobile on Speedtest shows me 132MBPS Download speed and 63.9 upload speed. Currently as of writing this Three is moving away from 3G so people might have some issues whatsoever. From the explanations about poor customer service and live chats plus unreliable devices sent from them I don’t truly know. So far ID Mobile has been great and we will see from here on out. Emails containing eSIM and about my order have been quick and speedy.

VERY poor to non existent customer service on the back of a log in system that never seems to work. Any problem however simple like trying to retrieve a bill because you cannot log in takes ages to resolve. I gave up and left. Yes cheap but not cheerful.

Contrary to the many poor reviews, I have to say I have been very pleased with ID Mobile and my very competitive contract price. Cancellation policy is quite clearly shown on the app and web site. However, customers should remember that the price level reflects a company that clearly caters for customers that want minimum service. A year after joining I Mobile, I set up a SIM pay monthly for my wife when her contract with another provider ran out and the monthly cost was cheaper than her previous one

I am not happy with this contract sorry to says this because I am paying to much money every month please reduced the price down for me please I stay or I well cancel my I’d mobile phone ok just let you know oki we’ll do this ok.

Best value deal I could find by far, superfast 5G coverage where I live and app is fine, what's not to like? SIM arrived quickly and transferred number over from Vodafone without hassle. Thanks!

I've been with iD since it's launch in 2015. I've changed tariff a couple of times as better value plans have become available. Coverage is fairly good - my reason for changing back then was that Vodafone just didn't work in locations I was spending lots of time at. Moving to iD was an immediate improvement. Everything can be managed from the app. I've only contacted customer service once a few years ago, I only had to speak to one person and once they managed to grasp what I was asking for it was sorted immediately. I don't know what there is not to love really.

At £5 a month, nothing comes near in terms of value for money. I started off with a £5, SIM only, 30-day roll over contact, offering 1GB data, 500 minutes and unlimited texts. The network coverage checker indicated no coverage in my postcode area, but the reality was a better service than provided by EE, who claim to provide excellent signal strength! Three months later, and I upgraded to a £6 monthly tariff, giving 2GB data, 1000 minutes and unlimited texts. Later on, I went over to their new £5 deal, which I'm still on. It gives 2.25GB, 250 minutes and unlimited texts. For me, this just about adequate and the best deal you could possibly expect for such low cost. Your account is managed via an app on your smartphone, which is exceedingly well designed. You won't get anything more user friendly, and it covers everything. You get a dashboard showing minutes and data used, together with amount remaining and number of days left on your current billing period. You can change tariff, request a PAC code, end your contract, port your old phone number, and examine your bill history (to check payments made and or when the next one is due). You can also set a zero cap so that you'll never exceed your monthly allowances, and you also have the facility to buy bolt-ons for more data. Worth mentioning is that the monthly plan includes 0333, 0345 and 0370 numbers, in addition to UK mobile phone numbers and the standard UK geographical-based 01,02,03 and all free phone numbers. I wasn't expecting free 0345 numbers! I changed tariff during a particular billing period rather than at the end, and was delighted that the pro-rata allocation of minutes and data allowance, was exactly as anticipated based, on the fraction of days into the new period. The app is PIN or fingerprint protected, and if someone enters the wrong PIN on three consecutive occasions, the account is locked. Anything negative to say? Well, there's no call centre to turn to. When things go wrong, e.g. if you're locked out of your account, you'll need to Google the problem and take it from there! It can take time doing this, but you should get it resolved in the end. Frankly, I fail to see how anyone could expect more for such a low outlay. £5 per month is nothing these days. Ask anyone into market research, and they'll tell you that most people won't even give you an empty cigarette pack, even if you offered them £7! I've been particularly impressed by how things are going during the current Coronavirus epidemic - it's made no difference! For several days, I've tried to sign up for one of the deals by Smarty, but their website just freezes! I've emailed their customer services, but have so far been ignored, yet they've a better reputation!! Not fair!

I have never ever had a contract with iD mobile actually never heard of them , i have been with o2 for years , but today i received an email from iD mobile stating they were sorry i was leaving , and they would be sending my last bill . What is going on .?

I cannot fault iD. I was on GiffGaff because it is cheaper but, you don't have the luxury of customer services to call. iD customer services are brilliant. I've been with a few different networks and I have to say they're the best, so far. They're quick and efficient. The app is great too! And they're not expensive, they're cheap. I got the Nokia 2.1 for £9.99 with 250 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of data. I have since changed my tariff to unlimited texts, calls and 2GB of data for 15.99. Amazingly cheap! I cannot fault them. I would highly recommend those with a poor credit score (like me) to go with them but ensure you go for a cheaper phone. I love the Nokia 2.1 and I will upgrade to the latest one, when my contract is up. Thanks iD :)

Easy transfer, they have done exactly what would be expected and all has been good. Signal is much better for me on my commute than O2 had been and I can use my data at work which would regularly fail with O2 in particular at busy times - no issues on id / 3. We travelled from North East Wales to South West Scotland with my son watching videos on my data the whole way with just a couple of buffering issues lasting a couple of seconds each time - very impressed to be honest. Travelled around Dumfries & Galloway and detoured through the Lake District on the way home with very few blank spots for signal (the longest in the lakes had no signal on we either) Worked well in Crete also. Billing is good, the app is good - no issues so far.

Love this phone company. They are run by car phone warehouse using the 3 mobile service. They have a nippy little phone app where you can manage your account and they have an online account management platform. Bills are very clear, prices very competitive and service always on point.
