“I have been using Redbubble since 2021, and it was good back then, very little deducations and if you didnt meet the payment threshold by the end of the year then you would get your earnings, even if it was just $5. However now, over half of your earnings are deducted by account fees and you are no longer able to cashout at the end of the year if you didnt make your payment threshold. Unfortunately, Redbubble is going downhill and is very much not affordable to artists anymore.
Please if you are an artist trying to make money through your art, go to other platforms that don't take so much from you.”
“Used to be good and reliable. Recently, some t-shirts I have ordered have come with un-centered prints. When I ask for a remake, it takes a week for customer service to get back to me. And then after another week tell you: "sorry, that color is out of stock for the forseeable future". The last example was a large navy blue tri-blend t-shirt... how can you not stock the most basic of sizes/colors?
So many cool designs I'd still like to buy, but now i'm going to stop shopping there.”
“I am deeply unhappy with the material quality of the tri-blend T-shirt I recently ordered. It's much larger and much thinner than the M I purchased five years ago from the same site - practically see-through. I will not be shopping at redbubble again. They've gone corporate-greed mode, abandon ship.”
“I ordered a shirt with the expectation of it being delivered on a certain day, because I needed it for an event, paid for express delivery so it would be here when needed. It's being delivered a day after I need/wanted it.I understand this happen, however I'm very disappointed. Not sure I would purchase anything from Redbubble again.”
“My order "shipped" on Feb 21. Redbubble estimated arrival for mar 1. UPS status never changed from "package ready for UPS". I couldn't see where it was coming from or how long it would take. It appears to never have arrived at UPS. Contacted redbubble mar 7 and was told it could be 8 days late so wait until the 8th. I could not reach anyone on the 9th or 10th. On the 11th, 20 days after shipping, they are resending the item. I needed it by the 19th at the latest. They would not expedite the new shipment free of charge stating they can only send in the original method. I have been inconvenienced waiting and contacting customer service and they offered nothing to compensate for the inadequate service. My gift will likely be late now. They could have expedited my order or offered a discount.”
“On May 9th I ordered a Birthday Card for a Friends 65th Birthday on May 27th. Tracking said delivery week of May 18th. I tracked it and everyday was told it was out for delivery. It went from California to Michigan back to California and was finally delivered today, June 7th. Almost a Month late. The card was disappointing. Nice graphics but the size of a Thank you note. Never again!”
“Does not offer full refund on their website. You get either replacement (not applicable in my case) or a voucher, which means you have to spend the money on their site. If you can't use the full amount you end up with money left in their site that you never get back or you might have to pay more and use the whole voucher.
Really shady refunds practice and not even sure it's legal in the UK”
“i ordered a gift for a friend off redbubble about 4 months ago and it never arrived, around a month ago i sent an email saying most likely it wont arrive, because it had been 3 months. the customer service worker that was emailing me was nice and told me they would issue a replacement, but the one i had just ordered was out of stock so they gave me a giftcard, which was nice but it also didnt cover full cost, anyways i ordered another one, that was a month and a week ago. 3 weeks ago, i also ordered a few posters off redbubble because i was getting advertisements for redbubble selling good priced posters so i ordered a few. none of my orders have arrived and i even payed customs charges for one of them a month ago, and i dont know maybe the delay is because of brexit or something but it really shouldnt take this long. dont get me wrong the customer service is good and they try to be helpful but the delivery is just not it”
“"Not in love with your new purchase? (That smell is a byproduct of the printing process. We swear it’s temporary.) If you still aren’t convinced, let’s figure out how to get something that will make your heart sing."
This is their cheeky way of saying that because they are print-on-demand, they do not accept returns unless you can prove with a picture that the item was damaged or misprinted. Actually, having since read reviews here and elsewhere, I should feel lucky mine was printed OK, and I was offered a voucher, so that's definitely fair and square.
However, a lot of their artwork is bitmap, not vector. What looks great in their site images actually looks like a fuzzy, over-enlarged photo when printed on a big item like a comforter or duvet cover. It'll be acceptable for many people, but it's definitely not brick-and-mortar quality where the design is sized for the end item. Disappointing because the offerings are so much more expansive, but it's the nature of the beast.”
“15 days after I placed my order and no sign of it , I received an email saying I would receive it 14/15th December , its now the 18th and still no sign. very poor experience, never again”
“Redbubble has bad customer service. They won’t respond to inquiries, both on Facebook or through email! It’s been such a hassle, that I’m moving all of my designs to zazzle instead.”
“Prices are high for what should be a fully automated printing service but the real problem is delivery. Charges are very high and there is no warning when production is overseas. I would not have ordered something from the EU given the current issues: by the time I found out it was too late. As could have been predicted, delivery is incredibly slow. It is now too close to Christmas to order from elsewhere so have little option but to cross my fingers and wait. Poor customer service.”
“I'm not sure if this is a RedBubble issue or the company they are shipping with (Landmark Global) to Canada, but I ordered something on Nov. 20 and they said it'll be Dec. 13 before I get it? How does it over 3 weeks to ship from US to Canada, that's ridiculous. There was no option for other shipping either. RedBubble created the package and sent it to the shipping company within a day or two, but now it's been sitting at the shipping company for over 4 days?”
“So difficult to just find what you want, shows everything your not interested in. They have missed out on 4orders from myself, or should I say the artists etc who are trying to make a living.”
“Ordered a couple of T shirts and really disappointed with the quality of the shirt. Labeled as "Heavy Cotton" you can hold the shirt up to daylight and see right through it.”
“What started out as a great site, easy to navigate and get your store up and running turned out to be the complete opposite!
The remove your artwork without any explanation, yet they allow obvious copyright artwork to be sold on their site. Like many of the others have experienced, Redbubble DOES NOT respond back to you 99% of the time. And when they, they just send out a form letter with ZERO explanation.
It is sad that they have a monopoly compared to other similar sites.”
“Redbubble used to be really good quality, but the last two times I ordered from them their stuff is worse than a lot of free t-shirts I've received at events. Within one single wash (in cold water, inside out, hang dried) the print was already shredding. I've only washed it three times now and it's not even recognizable. Years ago, the shirts were from a different manufacturer called Canvas and they fit well, and held the print for a long time and were accurately sized more or less. Since then, they've switched to Gildan and the quality if horrendous. Scratchy cotton, sizes are legitimately all over the place and you don't even end up with the same style of cut despite ordering the same style tee.
I don't know if this is an issue with their Canada supplier, as I know they outsource the printing to various warehouses but it's so terrible now I legitimately will never order from them again. The only reason it's 2 stars is because after complaining to them I received a full refund after sending them pictures of the horrendous quality.
Don't waste your money if you're ordering shirts.”
