What’s going on with Takealot?? Last orders I’ve placed are getting delivered later than usual. Even after paying extra for delivery. Tracking not getting updated. Seriously!

Various/many products are more expensive than normal shops. Some sellers will sell a 6 pack of beer for the same price as a case of beer. How does Takealot allows this? Prices on products should be regulated, either below or the same prices as other businesses. I would think that the sellers would keep their prices below market prices to get more people to support takealot, but unfortunately this is NOT the case.

I purchase from Takealot regularly. Recently I received a product that was broken but haphazardously repaired. The replacement was not much better. They refused to publish the review. Understand the reviews are not a true reflection of the product and Takealot actively skews those reviews - which is not too honest so can they be said to deal with their clients in good faith? you decide.

Upon visiting your return division of your company I was appalled to see that you do not adhere to social distancing practices. Has covid left the building or are your company just ignorant to the dangers of the spread of the virus?

I was happy to receive my order a little earlier than what was said. But I orded a wallet online, which said it will come in a box, especially for the wallet. I was pretty upset to see that I never even got a box for the wallet to come in. I also wrote a note for my boyfriend, which was supposed to have been in the parcel, which never even came. I wanted this gift for him to be extra special?!

I found the perfect birthday gift foe my little nephew a few weeka ago on takealot. I paid for the gift along with 3 other items. A week later I received notification that i can collect my items. I was traveling for work at the time and received another reminder to collect. I then received an email yesterday that the gift i ordered was cancelled as per my request. I contacted them immediately to let them know that I did no such request. The agent then said he would investigate the reason why the order was canceled. I received an email today notifying me that the supplier ran out of that specific toy. This is absolute rubbish as I was informes that my items were ready for collection. Takealot clearly took my paid for toy and resold it and had the nerve to report that I canceled that order of that item. I now have to go gift hunting again. I canceled mt whole order and was told i can check the refund process online when i requested that they send me proof of repayment.

In general Takealot delivered the goods we ordered in time and in good order. But when they erroneously charged me for items I did not order, their help to resolve the issue was pathetic. They could not provide details of the alleged orders or proof of delivery. The customer has to proof that he bought nothing by...sending them proof of the order...which since I did not make an order is impossible. Check your bank statements - you may have donated to the Takealot does not give a damn fund as well.

Paid R100 for delivery to ensure item was delivered the next day being a Saturday. Waited all day no delivery. As 17h30 got an sms from Takeallot to say: Hi Sharon, we tried to deliver your Takealot order #90626348, but couldn't. Utter rubbish they never tried, not even a call. Expect a refund as next day delivery was just a con.

Terrible customer service, specifically when it comes to returns. You receive the runaround from everyone and no one is accountable. Hell, they dont even read your emails, they all have the same response. Time to try other online retailers...

TAKEALOT TAKES ITS' TIME AND MY MONEY ORDER **********5 consisted of face masks, disinfectants etc ordered for school for use by teaching staff - paid for privately. Due for delivery 2 February - no sms or anything received, checked and found message to attached to order saying it had been damaged in transit and would be rescheduled for delivery! This order in excess of R1000 is extremely urgent - staff have returned to school as have some pupils. Despite have sent 4 help forms, 6 emails, and 2 messenger communications - NOTHING has been done. I simply get a reply saying that it is being investigated with the relevant departments. I have even suggested a refund so that I can order again - NO REPLY! Now I will have to take another R1000 plus out of my pocket to purchase items urgently required - during this time I simply can't afford to do this!! BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED and of course - you can't even make a telephone call! Heck didn't think the virus travelled through phone lines.....

Good day I received my second table (The first table ordered was damaged) from Takealot new Germany, Pinetown. Fortunately I opened the boxing at dispatch in front of the clerk. The table was brand new however, once again there was a dent in the table. Whoever puts them on the truck or offloads the stock is damaging the stock. I have no idea if I will get another table prior Christmas. Does Takealot Manager Thabani (New Germany Depot) not view the stock received or is he too lazy at his job. Why is our parcels getting damaged? We are paying for a service. Please could the KZN regional manager please contact me or could you supply me with their numbers.

Ordered with credit card, and everyone knows it can take an hour or 3 for payment to go through. Got 2 emails saying order is cancelled after my bank notice that amount was paid. This was followed by an sms that item will be delivered at certain time. This is confusing messages which makes one careful to use this platform

Ordered a generator from Takealot. This generator was faulty and having surges. One of the surges damaged my coffee machine. Takealot worked well to Process the refund for the Generator. However. I still am waiting for compensation for the refund. Takealot should have payed for my damages or got there supplier to pay for it.I expected better from Takealot as have used them many times.

I ordered 5 items in one order. Then I received a mail that delivery will be delayed because some items are on back order. I then requested for the order to be split (each split order will still be more than R450) but apparently Takealot can't split my order because the background processes are "much more complex" So they would rather loose sales than deal with their complex background processes. What a joke!

They do not deliver on time... Not a lot to choose from. Then it go to electronic books.. They should look at compenys like amazon and wayfair. And learn from them.

I had a friend buy me a voucher and it took like 2 weeks for different people to tell me different things about why it wasn’t working. It still ended up not working because we had followed all their dumb instructions. Such a long, painful and frustrating process. I was really let down by Takealot and how unseriously they obviously took my issues.
