My first purchase today for Xmas gifts... all good and excited. Then the final invoice had shipping of £17- UK to UK for 2 separate items when it should have been £8 (£4 + £4) - as per the original quote. Went on chat to ask why and got a roundabout response from someone clearly not trained to listen. I'm ok with not knowing the answer, just don't beat around the bush. The average person conscious enough to buy used is quite savvy. So I've been charged a lot for shipping, still don't know why and not sure what to do here... Have a screenshot of original quote; from an experienced buyer (on other sites that looks like I'll be going back to....)

VC ARE SCAMMERS! I purchased a pair of Balenciaga triple S sneakers and sent them for QC check to their hub. I am not sure if they really checked the shoes but they confirmed that it’s compliant and they sent the sneakers to me. When I received the shoes they were unglued and with a hole above the sole. I reported it to VC and their costumer support told me that I need to send the shoes back to them for a second check and they will refund me. After I week they informed me that there is nothing wrong with the shoes and they are matching the description of the seller. I am sorry but holes were nowhere visible or mentioned in the description. Seriously doubt the authenticity as well. Of course they didn’t refund me but relisted the shoes on my account but they didn’t mention that there is a hole so I will have to scam the person who is going to buy it. I just told them to sell it by themselves and to take the money. I am not going to wear shoes with holes, nor I am going to scam people. Never again buying from there.

I purchased a purse and selected the authentication option, when the purchase was completed, approved and paid by Affirm, my confirmation indicated the seller, Jebwa by Murad had 14 days to ship the purse to Vestiaire's authentication division. I sent the seller an email inquiring if there was any way to expedite the shipping to authentication and I received an email from Vestiaire informing me the seller had cancelled my order and I would receive a refund, without any reply from the seller or explanation as to why, it would seem it was because I purchased authentication. The item was relisted the same day. Date of experience: December 09, 2022

On 21st of November I sold D&G coat on Vestiaire Collective website. First, I receive a message that I should get money on 29th of November. Last Friday on 2nd of December I had a chat with a member from customer support tem and I was told that money was send to me on 27th and I have to wait 5 working days and that I should receive money on 5th of December. Today is 8th of December and I still didn't receive money. VC doesn't pay to the seller's ‼️‼️

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life - they are 100% scammers. I purchased and Louis Vuitton bag and paid the extra £15 for authentication. The bag i received was not the same bag I ordered, it was a completely different model. The seller admitted they sent the wrong one and the one i purchased is no longer available. I returned the bag to VC and after days of chasing via email and chat link that no one ever replies on they finally responded to say the bag is complaint with what I purchased and I would have to resell the bag or keep and I would not be eligible for a refund. Anyone can see that the bag was different so not only do they not do their checks thoroughly they are also SCAMMERS. I am entitled a refund and will be seeking legal action as well as contact my bank if this is not resolved ASAP. Lesson learnt - this company needs to be closed down there are so many similar reviews. I urge people not to use them there are plenty of other pre-loved website that have a better service and moral ethics.

Be very careful! Their quality control misplaced the strap of my designer bag and no one took responsibility. Customer service just ignored me for 3 days via chat and email and just cancelled the sale stating that the buyer cancelled the sale. I was in contact with the buyer who was very disappointed as she did not cancel the sale and also got no reply from them whatsoever. This is the worst customer service experience ever! They are now sending back a faulty bag without the strap which they have misplaced. Be aware that if there is a problem they will just ignore you and treat you with no respect. They make their money through the commission from the seller so you would expect to be treated with at least a little respect.

This would be the worst rip off site I have ever experienced I really do not know why buyer or seller tolerate their nonsense. I recently tried to purchase Chanel item seller was located same country yet the site still try to rip people off but charging import custom and duties why? Also one use to have choice to pay authenticity though now is charged on slot of item. Example $200 Chanel shoes would end up costing $265 why? Putting pressure to the seller to sell cheaper no fair for the sites greediness. If you item Chanel the above charges will always be added again why? Another big issue is you buy the items for the order to be cancelled because the seller does not send annoying when you end up missing another good deal elsewhere I will be filing a complaint with the consumer affairs for the unnecessary charges. I tried to let the seekers know a little these extra charges at checkout they weren’t aware of it so I wrote to them to be banned to connect with them again I could only purchase though no contact 👎 My advice Please keep away for this site to keep your sanity 👎

I am having a terrible experience with website. To buy from them is easy but when you face a problem, it is so complicated to sort it out they make everything so complicated. I purchased an item that never arrived here and I have to proof that I didn’t receive by sending an statement saying neither I and my neighbours got it with a proof of my document and an invoice . Even though it is saying on the track number that it is still on progress for delivery ( after many days ). What a nightmare. Awful service :(

I regret moving my listings on this website. Buyers will offer you an amount and never buy the item and even had the nerve to ask me to hold the item. If you can’t afford anything stay out of my closet. After reading all the other negative reviews I’m thinking about removing my listings because I don’t want all the BS people are talking about that this website gives you.

I am adding myself to the LONG LIST of disgruntled Vestiaire Collective customers. I have also had issues listing authentic items this past November (2022). My feeling is that something has been going wrong at VC - either they have been selling/letting through too many fakes, had issues with customers purchasing fake items (after they authenticated them I am guessing!), or some other issues with their so-called "experts" or "authenticators". Why else would they be rejecting listed items that are so obviously authentic (in my case including photos of the receipt, the date stamps, high-quality and in-focus photos of brand stamps) with really good and honest descriptions etc. I contacted the customers service and have sent in additional photos, repeat photos etc and they still have rejected my items. WHY?? When you ask them about specifics ("What else do you need? What was wrong with my receipt, photos etc?") they use the excuse that they cannot say. RUBBISH. It makes me really unsure about even purchasing items with them. If they can't tell the real deal despite receiving ALL THE INFORMATION, how on earth can they determine something is fake? The weird thing is that there are heaps of bags listed there that have no receipt, bad photos etc, but somehow they got through? Weird. They really need to have a good, long look into the chaos. Another gripe: The automated messages sent by the (poor) customer service agents who have no idea about anything, but have to answer complaints all day. "We'll get back to you within 24 hours" etc etc. GIVE US A BREAK. VC earns so much commission from us, the customer (and yes, they did increase their commission recently without saying a word, but nag the customer to reduce their prices ALL THE TIME). They need to do better. The automated VC replies on boards/pages/sites like this one is also a joke. Come up with something new, or actually act on the feedback we are giving you. COMPLAINT OVER.

still a problem with listing items for sale rejected many times even it’s add with tag and bills. I don't believe in their authenticity specialists, it's a scam. It's a waste of time. they can confirm the authenticity of a counterfeit. And when a person tries to put an original item, they reject it.

I’ve been selling authentic brand name items thru websites like Vestiaire for years (Poshmark & Tradesy). For some reason, even tho I posted pics of proof of authenticity such as receipts, etc, my items still keep getting rejected! This is after waiting for 48hrs after upload! Aside from the fact that they don’t even have customer service! The only way you can contact them is via social media or Twitter! Which I find very frustrating and bad business!

It is not the 1st time that the "experts" make something up, I have mentioned that the item was refurbished repainted and resealed by the cobbler, I don't quite know which idiot saw pen marks there and then sent a picture without pen marks. I am hearing horror stories everywhere and experienced some, like many others I am hoping for another platform so I can walk away from Vestiaire. The joke of them sending me a picture where there are really no pen marks makes me wonder what their experts are experts in.... Peeling bananas maybe?
