We have been using ABM for our 2.25" buttons for 12 years. The punch and press we purchased 12 years ago are still going strong and the blanks are still the best and most consistent in the industry!

We love the buttons and the machines. Last year we got a month of the button making software with our purchase and this year we did not. That is extremely helpful! We sort of assumed we would get it again this year!

The machine is great but disappointed that you do not offer the option of using magnets in place of a pin to attach to clothing.

Thank you for your feedback, Katherine. We are very sorry but there seems to be some misunderstanding. We gladly accept purchase orders from schools, libraries and any government organization. We make it super easy to use a p.o. Simply email or fax a copy of your p.o. to us and we take care of the rest. We are also happy to provide you with a formal quote should you need it in order to obtain your p.o. Just let us know what you need and we take care of the rest!

Revised August 31, 2023. I'm revising my rating again. My original issue with American Button Machines was that the items pictured in the kits on the website did not accurately depict what was shipped and received. ABM finally reached out and we agreed to a solution to resolve the issue. I kept my part of the agreement but ABM apparently felt they were not obligated to keep theirs. Like the products and would rate the products a 5, customer service -5. Revised to add, I was contacted by ABM after I posted this. Apparently, there was a snafu in communications and were very apologetic. The problem has been resolved and I'm revising my rating. I would have done this sooner but just now realized I still had access to my review. I first contacted the American Button Machine Company via email February 12 concerning my frustration with my order. I had ordered the 1.5 inch versa back mini split key ring and the 1.5 inch self-adhesive magnetic sets anticipating they would contain the 1000 pack sleave of mylar as shown on the website for those sets. I would have gladly ordered the 1000 sleeve of mylar at that time had I known that would not be included. In reading what AMB customer service was committed to and the pride they felt in providing outstanding customer service, I have been greatly surprised that no one has bothered to reach out to me. I have found this to be an even bigger disappointment because I like the product and the receipt of the product was in a very timely manner, but I have very little confidence in ABM taking care of a bigger issue should the occasion arise.

Thank you for your feedback, Dixie. We are truly sorry that there was a delay in responding to your concern. At the time you reached out, our offices were closed for a week due to an ice storm. When you order supplies on our site, you will receive each of the components required to make a complete button in the quantity for which you placed your order. You ordered 100 sets so you were sent 100 pcs of each of the components required to make 100 finished buttons. There is also an option on the same product page to order 1,000 sets that would include 1,000 pieces of each component, including the mylar, but you selected the 100 piece option so that is the size package we sent to you. We are very sorry if there was any confusion on what you would receive. You are always welcome to contact our Customer Solutions Team with any questions on our products before you place your order and they will be happy to assist you. If you are still unhappy with your order, simply contact us as you did previously, we are still happy to issue a refund per our policies.

American buttons are by far the most awesome vendor for button making. Their staff are always honest and don't beat around the bush with facts. I have nothing but awesome praise for this company. People like missy in their front office who is always excited to help with your button needs.

We are very happy with our button maker! The kids make buttons and magnets and have been having so much fun with it. They have been such a hit at school that her school wants to purchase a machine too! We love how sturdy and easy to operate it is. My kids have loved creating with both their own drawings and the button-making software. It makes it nice and easy for them. :)

Like most DIY musicians, there’s a laundry list of things to do, and therefore difficult to remember everything. To my delight and surprise, last minute orders for button parts have always arrived just in time, despite my poor planning.

The quality is good, but I had to take off severe points for the shipping costs. I had to order only the mylar it cost $15 to ship it to me. Nothing fancy, no rush, no overnight, just normal standard USPS and it cost more to ship it to me than the product itself. I shipped things so I weighed and calculated shipping and it shouldn't have been more than $4. What's worse is I live within 15 minutes of where the product is but as of 2020 they no longer allow it to be picked up. Unfortunately, I can't afford such an up charge on shipping costs so I I'm looking into other options.

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. We certainly understand shipping can be a concern these days and we are happy to help you with this. Our site is linked to UPS to calculate the shipping charge based on the size/weight of the package and your specific address. We do not charge based on the total cost of your products. The first pound of a shipment is where the bulk of the charge is so even small shipments can seem like a lot. UPS charges a surcharge for residential addresses and it would appear that you are shipping to a home address so that would come into play. We do advise that if you have a commercial address and you are not already using it, try shipping there. It will many times cut the cost pretty significantly for you. When using USPS, raw materials for button making must ship in a box, not an envelope, to avoid damage to the product as much as possible. Priority Mail service using a box is more expensive than an envelope, but it ensures you receive your product without damage. Any time you feel like there may be a mistake in the shipping cost shown on our site, please just contact us. We never mind investigating for you to make sure you are getting the best value for your money we can offer and we are always more than happy to help you.

After researching button machines in general, I new the company to buy from! wasn’t sure which button machine I wanted, and the customer service was awesome! Patient and heard my needs and suggested the 1.5 machine. I am thrilled with my purchase and having so much fun! Definitely, will buy supplies from ABM in the future.

Great customer service! I was in such a hurry I ordered and paid with PayPal using my old address, I called and they quickly updated the address and thankfully I had my order the next day. Also very fast shipping!
