But the organisation of what to do and where to stand in line and what for your name to be called we a nightmare”
“Being charged extra for waiver damage which I was advised at the time of booking I had paid, which turned out to be a fee for weekend driving. Having driven 2 hours to the track I had no option but to pay the additional fee. They were aware that the individual had made errors, moved her out of the sales team into pit lane, but were unwilling to waive the waiver damage.”
“Well if you want to queen for 3 hours to be then told that you are 4th on the list then go for it.
The event I felt was disorganised to many people, not enough staff to register, names being called out all over the place. I found it very disorganised and frustrating. However my 13 yr old son enjoyed his drive and the instructor was great with him.
He couldn’t have his photo taken with the car as got whisked off his seat into car and to be waiting 3 hrs before driving for 5 mins was very disappointing.
If they didn’t take as many bookings for the day I think it would have been much better n less waiting around. Oh and more signs to tell people where they are going and what que us did what.
I won’t be booking again with this company not because of the driving but because if the lack of organisation.”
“What a Amazing experience I had driving the 45ft HGV with support car trailer. I paid to take a passenger £5 which I had to choose from 2 daughters that brought me the birthday gift. After talking with my instructor "gary" who was lovely, made my experience enjoyable, he suggested braking my 20 minutes drive into sharing 10 minutes with each daughter. Can not believe all the trials I was put through, especially reversing! We all had a wonderful time, took loads of pictures, videos of our own (truck was driven on its own track not with the cars at york) Really want to drive this again, thank you, see you next year..”
“10 days before the event we tried every day to postpone, because my husband contracted Covid.
I was given email addresses and phone numbers, none of which responded.
Even on the day of the event no one contacted us to ask where we were!!
So I am still waiting for someone to contact us to change the date, or reimburse me.
I am highly dissatisfied with this company.”
“I tried to get in contact with car chase heroes on the Thursday and Friday before the experience as I had tested positive to covid.
The phone lines were turned off due to "sickness" I used the website chat which got no where and sent emails.
Not once did they respond.
Seems they are happy to take your money and not respond.
I would never recommend them”

“Booking the event was a stressful, nightmare, queued for over an hour in 30c heat to sign in, the event was over booked on the day of driving , didnt get to drive any cars i booked as they kept breaking down, wouldn't ever use this company again or recommend to anyone . Could be so much better if there wasnt so many people there and few more laps included, not worth the money or hassle.”
“Absolutely awful! Never got to have our experience because first Car Chase heroes cancelled it (because Tom Hanks was filing at Abingdon airfield and this over-ran), Re-booked, then 2 days before we receive an email that the Lamborghin Gallardo wasn't available as it needed repairs. This is what my two boys desperately wanted to drive. We didn't see the email until Sunday when we were about to leave, so didn't leave and emailed to advise this. On the next re-arranged date, myself and one of my two boys were ill with (and tested positive for) Covid. I tested positive on a Thursday and my son (who was due to drive) tested positive on Saturday. We tried to contact Car Chase Heroes but they only cover their phone lines untiol 5.30pm on Friday. There is a Facebook page but this is just an automated response to a handful of common queries. When I emailed Car Chase Heroes to complain they were uspset at my entirely polite (but frustrated) email saying we don't like the tone of your email and stating that they are a family run business. They absolutely are - so be warned! You will not get any reasonable level of customer service and you literally cannot contact them if you have any problems from 5.30pm on Friday up to your booked session on a Sunday. In fact calling them late on a Friday is often fruitless.”
“I have already sent an email of feedback to explain our disappointment with elements of day which led to my two boys not wanting to complete the experience.
Unfortunately no refund was offered for the sight run, which was a complete waste of money, and a bog standard ‘no refund’ response was given.

“Hard to find location, no local signs to venue.
Venue was still being set up at 9.00am in the morning and not ready.
When fully operational, it all seem to run smoothly and good fun.”
“The postcode given for the venue took you to the opposite end of the race track. There were so many people trying to find access to the venue.....the same cars, including myself were going round in circles. Better signage is required to the site at Abingdon. I know this area well yet still struggled to find it!”
“I had an excellent experience.
I drove a Lamborghini and two Aston Martins - one 2022 and the other 1975- a real contrast!
The instructors were great instilling confidence which helped my initial nerves.
Only short coming was being able to contact and get confirmation of my booking over the phone
BUT the driving made it a great day celebrating by 70th birthday 😊😊😊”
