“Hard to find location, no local signs to venue.
Venue was still being set up at 9.00am in the morning and not ready.
When fully operational, it all seem to run smoothly and good fun.”
“I received my driving experience as a gift from my colleagues and I redeemed it at the Abingdon venue. The experience itself was great and the instructors were very good. I had booked the General Lee Dodge Charger and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, unfortunately the General Lee was broken when I turned up so I substituted it for Dom's Dodge Charger instead. However, after going on my sighting lap, I was left waiting for my name to be called for 40 minutes... turned out I hadn't been put on the system.
They give you an 8gb SD card at the beginning which each instructor puts into their car to record your drive. I watched both instructors do this, but at the end I only had video of one of my drives. The other video was of some random guy driving a car that I hadn't even driven. No idea how they managed that, but I was disappointed to only have the one video.
Which brings me to the media. If you want your video and photo package at the end of your experience it will cost you £50 (provided you only drove 1-3 cars)... yes, £50!!! which is extortionate especially when all I received was one video and 28 photos, the majority of which were out of focus and all taken from the same spot at nearly the same angle. They also couldn't find the photos from my high-speed passenger ride. The guy before me didn't even have the option of videos as his SD card hadn't recorded anything at all! I tried to get a discount, but they weren't willing to entertain it.
Overall, it was a good experience but disappointed with the media side of things. Value for money and quality need some serious work in this area!”
“Upon arrival at the Oxfordshire site we joined a long long queue (10.20-11.05) and my start time was 10.30. I couldnt believe how many people were queuing.
Got to the front and was told 2 of my 3 chosen cars werent available (id driven 90mins past closer sites for a specific car that was only here when i tried booking online) gutted....i chose 2 others and as all the good cars were booked I had 1 i didnt want (Gran Torino) and had to pay £10 extra for the GT500 (considering 67% of my booking wasnt available a gesture of goodwill was hoped for here.) Maybe even a free atom passenger ride for the disappointment?
Once through this mess it was a good few hours and lots of fun with some good instructors by your side.
Dont book if youre after 1 particular car....go in with an open mind as a few people i spoke to had this happen aswell.”
“I did an experience a few months ago and they lost All photos and videos of the day. We bought an experience for our grandson and again one of the videos didn’t come out atall and photos seemed very poor for the price they were asking (didn’t buy any)
Track was changed and seemed alot shorter and couldn’t really see anything from a spectator point of view. All in all personally don’t think it was good value for money”
“The car drive was a good experience but, had to wait a long time for the drive with nothing to do and
The photos were not very clear , of my face in the driving seat”
“First experience at Blyton Park, and probably my last! Arrived at my allocated time, 2 hours later I got in the AC Cobra. Thankfully it was a warm sunny day as there is no provision for customers to shelter while they're waiting for ever for their turn. Plenty of staff, but need to get the timings sorted out. Cobra was awesome by the way!”
“The staff were very friendly the instructors were also two faults everytime they talked it could add
£s to your day £15 pound here £10 pond there just checking in we were hit with extras to the tune of £70 if I took them up which I didn't other people also complained the other problem on the first car I only did two laps when I paid for three apart from that a good but expensive day out”
“My grandsons, 10 and 13, had an amazing experience. There was a lot of waiting around but they were happy watching the cars go off. There are also lots of “extras” you end up paying for when you get there, but they had such a good time, their first driving experience ( in a Porsche!) so well worth it. Our one criticism is that although most of the “instructors” in the cars were brilliant with the boys, they both didn’t rate the instructor in the 911 Spyder - probably ok with an adult driving but did not make it so pleasurable experience for a child. If this is promoted for children to drive, it’s important you have someone who understands ( and likes) children. The other staff were all brilliant.”
“The cars were amazing... just shame about the organisation and after the event. Booking in took a long time, waited 1.5 hrs after my slot time in cold weather albeit sunny... then needed the toilet but was told by one of the women organisers i couldnt leave my seat.. even though the 1st vantage was still on junior track so i had to plead with another male organiser to use the portaloo across the carpark... otherwise I'd have not enjoyed the driving at all!!
Great laps in 3x aston martins, i got really good scores and good instruction but poor customer service / media package. No media came out on the day so i had to see manager who then proceeded to go thru 100s of missing files (all other drivers whose media failed) and finally found my photos then with tech help found videos.. BUT when watching at home 2 out of 3 videos no sound (apparently an error from the instructor) so had to return sd card for video refund (at my own expense no refund on postage)
Apparently they changed their media that day so loads of peoples photos and videos didnt come out but if you didnt ask to speak to manager then he wouldnt have found them all on the 100s of missing media sd cards.. so alot of people went home disappointed i guess.
A really bad let down after a good days driving and an expensive days driving, spent over £200 on 6 laps x 3 cars.. then u had to add insurance then 2 sighting laps, then super lap (definitely not worth it as was in a bmw .. not a supercar.. ariel atom available but again at another extra cost)
Overall i would not use this company again for although the cars were brilliant and i drove them very well, what i will remember is all the hassle and poor organisation and being let down with my media package.”
“In terms of driving, it was exciting and new experience. The staff are generally polite and helpful. Unfortunately, one of the prebook cars was unavailable and the other car had mechancial problems in site.
The calling arrangements are chaos.”
