“My 5yo granddaughter absolutely loves her bake kits. She and her Mom make it a project on the weekend so they can have some fun together and her Dad love eating what they make . So its a family project and everybody wins!”
“Shipping is very slow. They use DHL shipping. On top of that for some reason it seems like for my last box they packed it, created the label and let it sit there for more than a week before even shipping it out the door, in fact it still hasn't shipped and we are at 14 days into the month. Therefore my Easter Cupcake Box won't get here anywhere close to in time for Easter. So if you want a specific box order it 2 plus months ahead of time because everything with them just takes forever. On their website it states the best way to contact them is through email. I sent and emali and got an automatic reply stating the best/fastest way to reach them is by phone, yet the website had no indcation of a phone number to call. So far I am not overly impressed. It's difficult to look up an real status on your order.... all it says is fufilled yet my item still hasn't shipped how can it be considered fufilled? Tracking information is not provided in your account online either, you just get a separate email.”
“I think these are really fun and cute. It is convenient to have most everything you need in the kit portioned and ready to go. I will say it is definitely not worth the full price amount, and not even the sale price I got. That said, for the sale price I am satisfied, but would not order again even at that price point. I think what could improve the experience and the value would be to double the portion size. The package is nice, and making to where there was a little more (like 12 instead of 6), would not be much more to produce and ship. It's a lot of effort when you have 4 kids and they don't even get to have their creation twice. Something to consider.”
“My Grandma got it for my 4th birthday. We really had a lot of fun putting the turtle woopie pies together. She's coming over Wednesday to do the next one.”
“I used it as relationship building with a grandchild. The ability for a younger child to engage in an “adult activity” and feel accomplished with the result!”
“We love I'm The Chef Too monthly subscription boxes. We've only received a couple duplicates, but we've done this for 2 years. It's great how the main ingredients are always included and only minor ingredients are needed, but we get emailed prior to delivery. Everything is aways fresh and labeled well. The only issue we come across is the food coloring always leaks out of the squeeze bottles into the bag and there isn't any to add to our creations.”
“I bought a subscription for my four-year-old granddaughter who loves to bake. She was thrilled when she received the box in the mail (she's received three so far). The themes are so adorable, and the kit comes with just about everything you need, outside of milk, eggs, etc., of course. The decorations for the goodies are great! I highly recommend.”
“I feel the kits are appropriate for the age of my granddaughter. She understands the instructions as well as the images on the recipe cards. She's able to do most of the tasks by herself to complete the project.”
“The kits are too complicated for a 3 and 5 year old. I can't imagine that and 3 or 5 year old would be able to pour melted chocolate into molds, fill the molds with powdered chocolate and then seal them together with more melted chocolate without hurting themselves. These kids might be appropriate for 10 to 12 year olds. The kit is still in the cupboard. I will save it for another day and let them watch me do it. I did include a picture of the pancake kit that we made. Again ...working with a hot griddle is not something I would allow the three and five-year-old to try.”
“Great ideas but much too time intensive to keep littles interested. My 5 year old lost interest right away and 7 year old gets very frustrated that what she creates doesn't look like the examples. Would love something more beginner friendly.”
