“after collecting all my data, the search engine on the site at the last step said that I should receive on email a password which never came and left the application unfinished”
“Possibly the absolute worst money grabbing, promise making, functional failure of a website on the internet. A total scam, not only of the money they insist on but for the terrible customer service and the total absence of reasonable leads. The worst part is you only get to the scam after hours of providing content, that time I will never get back.”
“Similar to other reviews, I got sent a phone number at 10pm and another at 8am Saturday
I didn’t request these numbers and were not jobs I would have taken... obviously they didn’t answer the phones because they don’t exist I guess, got charged around £20
Such a con please don’t use this company save yourself lots of grief
Jayne”
This website is committing Phishing crimes
This website is a TRAP!! I signed up for Star of Service. Then I notice when you request a phone number and make up fake clients to stael personal information from you. I got charged, out of nowhere, without me requesting or approving more information I got charged 35 euros.
SHUT DOWN THIS SITE!”
“Avoid them at all cost! I'm with this service for more than a year. I never had ANY good client at all, although I paid 40 EUR per each "opportunity". After I've decided to forget and not to deal with them anymore, they sent me an "offer": "Essayez Premium Gratuitement
Which translates litterally as "try our Premium offer for free for one week". And then the list of perks goes on. But the price of a Premium was never mentioned!
I've tried. Forgot to unsubscribe before it was expired and guess what - the morning 28 December they charge me 285(!) EURO per 3 month for the Premium!
I've tried to contact them several times - ALL IN VAIN.
The biggest crookery I've ever faced in my life!
I will try to get this money back, but I doubt if this will ever work.”
“Starofservice are a bunch of crooks. They are only after your money. Leads they give you are fictional, nothing real, no follow up. In a word they are scammers, they should be reported to police. This company should be wiped out. They don't ask for your approval, they don't follow a lead, all they do is charge fraudulosly your credit card. This Must End!”
“SAS will charge you for almost any customer request, without your approval, and even if you deactivate your services - they will automatically reactivate your services and charge you for the next customer to force money out of you at any price.
During COVID-19, SAS automatically reactivated my services when they were deactivated, switched on StarofService Live features, and charged my credit card while I was away without my approval.
Trust level: 0 stars, but 1 is the minimum here.
I've deleted my account since it is the only way out of their endless automated abuse to my wallet.
Make sure you either don't join SAS in the first place, or delete your account before they suck your wallet dry.”
“The process is not very straightforward, so at the end of the day you end up paying for a contact that might not even be really interested in working with you. One contact costs you 40 euro (excuse me?!!!) and it doesn't guarantee anything, as it seems that the clients are not informed that you'll be charged that much as soon as they see your message. The only time you won't be charged is when they clearly say you chose someone else, but most of the times they don't bother.
Just like everybody else said, this is a really really sketchy website. Btw, half of the names of "clients" displayed for my country sound foreign.... and trust me, we don't have many foreigners here.”
“All these bad reviews and each element people are saying below are correct.
Connect you with leads that are mismatched then charge really high prices for it $23 Australian per link.
Customer service is incredibly hard to deal with, they have a no refund policy. Even if their matching was incorrect and you didn’t get the service properly they say they don’t have a refund policy.
Very dodgy. Beware. And definitely don’t sign up to ‘live’ matching.
They automatically link you to people charge you for it with out your approval first. Before you’ve even contacted the client.
They seem to have lots of good fake reviews, if you read through you can tell.
Anyway hope this helps someone else avoid almost $100 loss and 20 emails back and forth with their team.”
ESTAFADORES.”
“The fees are huge, charged without giving you any leads, even when client clearly tells you "No".
They steal (they don't even recognise it as an error from their side) real money from your credit card and then make "commercial gestures" (as it was your own error and you owe them for their generosity) by giving you virtual credit available for 30 days only.
Taking into account that qualified leads appear in their system once in a good year (and the next year is still to come for me) - this is pure robbery.
So, in this case be sure to act fast and report the charge to your card issuer otherwise you'll never see your money.
Their support is a parrot type, they don't care about the issue, they don't try to understand the nature or propose a solution, they copy-paste the answer (which is believed by them to be a solution).
And as a cherry on a cake they have system of fake reviews on their website where they recognise reviews of customers to providers as reviews of their service and put this fake rating into the footer: StarOfService.com est évalué 4.4 / 5 par 69706 membres.”
“Please don't ever think of doing business with "start of service" either you are a freelancer or you render services. I didn't realized on time and they have been deducting money automatically without my consent from my account. I didn't login to their website and they are sending ghost clients to my account and charging me for what I know nothing about.
I contacted them times without number but no solution. The most annoying part of it is the message I received from them which stated; "I definitely understand that you did not realize how it was working at the time of the activation..." though I didn't login for months.
Now they don't reply me anymore.
I just disconnected my PayPal from their website now before they will send another debit alert.
Please, don't register with them nor mistakenly play with your money with them, they will ruin your day.”
“They had a credit system where you bought credits then use those credits to contact clients. Then they changed their new system and refused to give you all you got left as their new system didn't carry over to the new account. They told us tough luck when we asked for what left. A few clients we got a hold of don't even know they used the site when you contacted them. There was no work done between the site and clients. Most of the clients don't even answer their phones. It seems very fishy. We never got a job from them. You're better off spending money to advertise in real places that work. This website is a big scam and we're considering contacting Go Public. It's time these scammers need to stop”
