THEIR SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK I ordered my first box of 3 items at a discount. Ordered it beginning of February and ended up being informed after a week and a half their system messed up and none of the items I wanted were available. After spending more time figuring out suitable items amongst a catalogue of mostly unavailable clothes I ended up getting my order by mid-Feb. They threw in a extra item for the inconvenience but it did not fit and it was stained so it made no difference. The items were nice, but they came tossed in a box like a donation bin. I had to press 2 of the items to get them decent, and the third was still wet from their wash. Since I ended up with the box 2 weeks after I ordered them I expected the renewal date to be shifted. I am currently traveling for most of March, and wanted to pause it for that month as I wouldn’t be able to return the items in time. BUT they renewed my subscription for March 2 weeks after I got my first box without a warning. Was forced to pay 39£ for a month I could not use. They told me they had already charged me so I had to choose my Items and if i didn’t return them on time I would be charged again! I begrudgingly chose 3 items, while emailing to ask if we can change the dates so I could use the box and have my first box until the allotted time I was promised ( a month). At this point they stopped responding to me. I returned my first box a week and a half in advance, got my second box a few days before my trip (the clothes were not presentable and one brown teddy coat looked like a donation bin coat). I returned the box to do’s the same day because I would miss the deadline to return them while travelling on top of the clothes being completely inappropriate (no size chart to understand their Jean sizes). Zero responses! I basically flushed 39£ down the drain. Don’t recommend unless they seriously improve their system!

I recently received my first box from The Devout. I had been wanting to try it for a while, then had a 50% off for 3 months discount code that made it seem to good to miss! My items arrived very quickly, and even when one item did not suit me, customer service were very friendly and efficient and sent me a replacement item the next morning! The clothes themselves are very nice, although one jumper was a bit bobbly and looked a bit more 'well-worn' than I was expecting. I am very happy with the service so far and looking forward to styling up my new pieces over the next few weeks. I would just suggest two small changes - 1) that the website lists the fabric composition for each piece. Two of my items were not the fabric I expected, for example I had expected a cotton jumpsuit to be woven rather than jersey fabric, and a top was a viscose blend while the image looked more like linen. Still nice items, but more info would have been great. And 2) the packaging seemed a bit odd, it was a very large box for three items, and they looked like they'd been chucked in. I suppose I was expecting them to come at least wrapped in tissue, or somehow more neatly arranged. Still this does not detract from the actual service or quality of the clothes. Overall I'm very happy!

This was my first time using Devout and I’m so impressed! I love the selection and it’s such good value. There was an issue with my order which was fixed so quickly, the customer service is absolutely brilliant. Really happy so far and excited to keep renting clothes, it’s such a fantastic initiative!

First time using Devout, I have loved the items that came. All pre worn but that is the idea of renting and everything was clean. The box was a little too large for the items though so the clothes arrived in a bit of a heap. Hopefully as the service gains more users there will be more variety / new options and the monthly cost could come down further. I will try again for month two without the introductory offer but it does make it a lot more expensive.

Positives: The items were as expected and arrived quickly. Areas to focus on: 1- The packing has to improve. The box was too big and it looked like the clothes had been thrown in it. They were not folded properly and were all wrinkled and looked shabby. I had to steam them. 2- More choice. The items I want are not available in my size. For this reason I may cancel my subscription in future.

Customer service is always amazing! Clothes are usually brand new with tags or good as. Love the fact you can exchange for an extra fee and also you can buy the clothes at a discount if you love them!

Great customer service via the live chat, and very prompt and clear communication throughout. The selection of clothes available seems great and I am getting a lot of value from being able to try new styles risk free. Love the concept and the execution so far has been fabulous :)

Prompt service, two out of 5 items were brand new with tags. the other two items were clean and in excellent condition. It can be difficult to find items as a lot are unavailable, (size 12) this limits choice, hopefully further lines and items will be added.

The service is brilliant! You get to try new items without feeling guilty about cost per wear. Brilliant selection of high quality brands. The customer service when I have had any questions is brilliant. I have recommended to most of my friends.

This was my second order, I love the service, I do the 3 item subscription which is a bargain given the brands they have and it helps me experiment and have more fun with my wardrobe sustainably which feels like a win/win. The one thing that was slightly concerning was that the box came and the clothes were loose in it and wrinkled, which made it feel like they may not have been cleaned beforehand. Given Covid etc. this felt odd. I know they are minimising packaging but there are minor stains on the trousers i noticed when I was steaming them and that’s also worrying.

Reasonably pleased with first box although one top looked quite well worn and washed and I suspect slightly shrunk. Will see how month two goes.

Love the concept, clothes condition has always been brand new with tags or excellent. Never had a problem with sizing. Customer service has always been excellent. I’ve been ordering for around 6 months and am struggling to get some newer items in my size, maybe there are more users but there has definitely been less choice recently which is a shame.
