Hi there, we’re Thread The Word!

We’re an Australian business located in Melbourne and dedicated to creating beautiful, personalised blankets. All of our blankets are an order of one and knitted just for you.

We are very passionate about making all of our products in Australia. We have been producing personalised gifts for over 10 years in the photo industry.

Our blankets are knitted from 100% combed cotton. Combed cotton is super soft and we do not use any harmful chemicals so they are perfectly safe for babies and children.

We hope you love your blanket as much as we loved creating it!

“Couldn't be happier with my granddaughter's beautiful bespoke blanket. It is so soft and warm. The colour is gorgeous! Using the website was very easy and turnaround from time of order to delivery was very quick!”

“I am happy with the quality of blanket I purchased.. but just a couple of suggestions.. even though blanket is for newborn, the size should be larger so it can be used more as baby is growing older and gets more use. Also, the writing on blanket I bought is quite pale and it looked darker on website, but it would be good if I was able to choose colour of my choice of writing on blanket when ordering. In hindsight I should have ordered a darker one. Never mind, all good.”

Hi Sophie, Thank you for your feedback. We have 5 different size blankets from Newborn to Single Bed. The newborn is ideal for the pram and in the car. The next size is a bassinet and then followed by cot. In regards to the colour our designer lets you choose any colour combination. “Australia Post lost the parcel which was not great, however , the customer service from Thread the Word was outstanding with very prompt replies to my emails and follow up with Aust Post on my behalf ( even offer to remake the blanket). Such a wonderful experience from ordering through to the blanket eventually being delivered . The personalised cot blanket came beautifully packed wrapped in tissue paper ready for gifting. It is exactly as the website shows and the quality is exceptional. We can tell that this blanket will last the distance to be a cherished keepsake. I gladly recommend this company and their personalised blanket.”
