Alex was knowledgable, helpful and fun to be around. My wife and I had a ball with Wayoutback. Highly recommended for a laid back adventure tour.

Did the 4 day tour with Adz in May, fanatastic! Adz was an excellent guide, super knowledgable about everything...local culture, geology, bush craft and even sorted out my camera to take night pics of the Galaxy. Great team of people and a great group of travellers too. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit central Australia. Word of warning though...don't forget to take a fly net!

We had a fantastic time. A real outback experience, On walking tours saw great views of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and KIngs Canyon. The tour guide, Gus, was great and the tour group were all very friendly, enjoyed chatting at meal times and around the camp fire. The setup tents were comfortable and added to the outback experience.

I did two tours almost back to back. First was from Darwin to Litchfield, Kakadu and Katherine. It was amazing, although I had no idea what was planned from day to day, no itinerary. The driver, Annie was fairly new to her job but was wonderful, kind, thoughtful, inclusive and fun. The trip was well organised, not too much for my friend and I, aged 82 and 76! There were several highlights for me, one travelling (with another organisation) to Arnhem Land to aboriginal rock art and then to their own art studio, another was a very high pool - infinity - just before leaving Kakadu then another was the meeting with Manuel in Katherine. Then after returning to Darwin we travelled to Alice Springs to start our second tour. Two nights and three days of adventure with a red headed man who was very knowledgeable about the wild life and plants of the region. His idea of showering was amusing - drying our bodies with a flannel! The rock climbs are terrific! I would love to do another trip, do you tour the Gibb River in Western Australia? Margaret Davey

Well planned adventure covering a good variety of walks & activities. Great tour guide/driver/cook & not having to put up my own tent was wonderful. Facilities basic but good. Great bunch of fellow traveller. Would definitely recommend Wayoutback if you want a good outdoors experience!

We had a fantastic tour of Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks and my partner and I had a day tour in Arnhem Land which was also amazing. Jack was an amazing guide - very knowledgeable and he looked after us very well. I would certainly do another tour with Wayoutback if I get a chance.

In May '19 we went on the Litchfield Park, Kakadu trip and loved every minute. The places we visited were outstanding and nicely paced, including time to swim in glorious pools. The guides were friendly, well informed and so hard working. Producing varied tasty meals at suitable times seemed no problem. They were good at recruiting help from all the guests when needed. Although we were of very mixed age groups everyone got along well. The camp sites were great with good facilities, though some sort of light in the tents would have been helpful. I had requested vegetarian food and this was accommodated without fuss. I was impressed. The organization of the whole trip was excellent and the guides top class. Climbing up Injaluk Hill from Gunbalaya, with an aboriginal guide, we were stunned to arrive at a high shady rock ledge and fine our guide with a picnic lunch all laid out on a table cloth waiting for us ! Absolutely stunning !! Many thanks to all the team who made this terrific trip possible.

Excellent! We gambled and took 2 tours (Kakadu and Central Aust) and everything lived up to our expectations. The tour guides/drivers (Jezza, Susie) were fantastic - from their knowledge of the surrounds to their consideration of the needs of the groups. Have no hesitation in recommending Wayoutback to others.

3 days, 2 nights in Kakadu & Litchfield was excellent; our guides were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and the tour group was also great. We got to see and do quite a lot without feeling too rushed and the accommodation was very comfortable - a lot more than I expected from a "tent". Perhaps would have liked to spend a little more time in both parks - so maybe next time I'll pick a longer trip

I took two tours with Wayoutback, one Alice to Darwin, and the other, Arnhem Dreaming from Darwin. I am a bit over the age demographic at 70, but pretty fit. Both trips were a delight, full of revelation. Obviously the food and accommodation were basic, but entirely satisfactory. Who wants luxury if you are to experience the bush. The camping was easy (especially in the swag - I want my own swag please), with very capable and easy going guides. Darren (for the Arnhem tour) was a particularly thoughtful person, not pushy, not overly demonstrative, but, though his eyes and knowledge, I had very valuable insight into indigenous life. I am in his debt. I wish I had longer. The Arnhem trip snarled up because of closure arising from the death of an elder, but Wayoutback were the model of how to sort out such a problem. A generous part refund without any quibble.

Not a happy experience! We were to be picked up at 6.20 outside our hotel. At 6.05am the driver phoned me and complained that he had nine pick ups and asked us to walk to another hotel! The driver did not see it as his responsibility to help the passengers. I said my husband (81) might need help with his seat belt. Someone else asked for help with the air flow. The driver said we could do those things for ourselves. When we were well on our way we were all asked to sign a waiver absolving the company from all responsibility, even if they were negligent. These things spoiled the day and we would never travel with these people again.

I didn't like the management of the group. i think more authority could be usefull. My children and i made the dish washing for the entire group every day since famillys did nothing (always an emergency at THE moment). The guide told us it was always like that. but everybody pay the same price and so everybody has to be treated the same way. Also, one trek had to be canceled because "some of the people could follow the group". I thhink there should be an aletrnative for pepole who can't follow the group so the one who can won't be "punished". This experience made me learn that i will never do a trip with a group again....

The tour itself was very good, my issue was the driver, having done several tours with various company’s in Australia I have never met a tour driver like it. He frankly ruined my last trip in Australia. He almost wanted us to feel sorry for him and baby him. He was rude and unprofessional. And I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire trip not knowing each day what his mood swings were going to be, I was really shocked, and thankful to get to Adelaide.

Nearly 5 months have passed and I still remember every single detail (also the sounds and smells) of the tour. To be honest, I have never met a guide as extraordinary as ours. He made us literally feel the nature and heritage of Australia. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of this remarkable guide and therefore add his picture -THANK YOU, MR eXtraordinary!
