I absolutely loved the service of the way outback team! I was with the guide Alex Tolcher, and he was really chill and cool, with great humor. I don`t think I could have gotten a better guide! He was very inclusive, and he made me feel very welcome. His ability to make everyone have fun at their own pace and level is just extroordinary. I will certainly never forget him and the adventures I got to experience! Much love, Evan Daniel Nilsen

What a great way to explore Kakadu and Litchfield! No need to worry about the long hours of driving yourself and dirt roads as you can just relax in the truck. Comfortable accommodation and lovely food, great way to meet other travellers and nice with a guide that can tell about the national parks and the history.

It was simply one of the best experiences in my life. Josh and R (the other guide) were amazing. We were a large group of girls from all over the world and they made the trip so easy and fun for all of us. Thanks for the stories and thank for the food. I loved it!

We completed a Company written feedback form on the third day of the tour and gave it to Leigh, our guide, which detailed our concerns about your management and our guide, so we are surprised you are asking for it again. In our feedback response we suggested your company consider purchasing a hands-free headset microphone for each of your driver/guides, like other companies do, as having to hold a microphone in one hand and steering with the other hand on some of the rough gravel/sand tracks is a potential safety issue. Leigh subjected us to his taste in music played at a very loud volume, some of it profane and sexist. Perhaps he needed it to try and stay awake, as he kept complaining about how tied he was and how little time he had off between tours. He did turn his music down a bit on the third day, when requested. The standard of food provided was poor, basic backpacker level, and not all the food options were put out for guests to use, some being left in the trailer by the guide and not eaten by the last day of the tour. We also had concerns about food prep hygiene. Leigh seemed to devote most of his attention to the 4 young German girls on our tour. He did not appear to ensure guests washed/sterilized their hands before helping with food prep. Utensil drying towels were not replaced when filthy although we later discovered spares in the trailer. By contrast, the evening meal provided by your camp host on the third night at Kakadu Lodge was excellent. The separate company that took us on the fourth day to Gunbalanya was a complete contrast to your company, a great lunch was provided and the guide was excellent.

My favourite part of the tour was our wonderful tour guide, Shannon. You can tell he is passionate about his job and takes his tours seriously.

Absolutely recommend this tour and the company. Safety is always first priority and amenities were excellent. Our host was great and friendly. Places were exactly what you want to see, a lot of waking up early and full day itinerary's so perfect adventure tour. Only down side was the food. Food was provided for, brekkie lunch and dinner and it was a let down. Variety was disappointing and at one lunch session we ran out of food. Overall I would recommend the group.

We had our 5 days Jabiru dreaming 4wd tour in September. First - huge thanks to our guide Kasey. You were great. We loved the tour and would definitely try other tours. I wrote review in tripadvisor and I'll just repeat it here. I’ll just write about things which were no clear for me. Accommodation - private campsite for 3 nights inside caravan parks. Parks are very good and have very clean amenities units with toilets and hot water showers, shop, pool, cafe. Campsite has tents and kitchen with running water, fridge, stoves, tables. Katherine camp is on it’s own but also has toilet with hot shower. Watch sunset, sunrise and night sky there - amazing. Power points and opportunities to charge your devices: there are power points in the kitchen and you would be able to charge your devices there. Mobile Reception - first day it’s at the very beginning of the trip, then nothing. Second and third night - you would have reception in the caravan park, then near Katherine and one bar at the campsite. You would be able to buy alcohol, but would need ID for that. We could pay with credit card everywhere apart from the Katherine Gorge boat cruise- $100 p/p. But our guide made stop near shopping centre in Katherine to get cash from atm. There would be esky to keep your drinks cool. We loved all activities on the tour. All natural attractions and aboriginal sites are quite famous. But I would like to say that we never expected Bowali visitors centre to be so good. It definitely deserves more time. And also time we spent at Top Didj with Manuel Pamkal was definitely highlight of the trip. Manuel is unbelievably charismatic and talented. To be honest - tour is packed with activities and has a very tight schedule. and you should be aware that distances are huge and there would be a lot of driving and some of it on a gravel road. I'm mentioning this because aparently it was a surprise for some tourists. We absolutely enjoyed all our activities and would not want to miss any of them. Definitely recomend this tour, but for people who would not mind to help in the kitchen, pack and unpack trailer.

Had a great day out. Guide was informative and very Australian yobbo which made for an unforgettable trip. Met up with others who did more expensive similar trips who did not have a great time due to rude drivers and large group numbers so we considered ourselves lucky.

Our family of 5 (aged 54-5) had a fantastic 24 hour safari to Uluru which our family loved so much we are still regularly reflecting on. It provided everything we hoped for and more in such a limited time. Uluru and Kata Tjuta were as beautiful and magnificent as ever, both at dusk and at dawn and we had fun camping out under the stars. Our guide (Lisa) was excellent. She was patient, warm and friendly with our kids, full of knowledge but let us ask the questions rather than bombard us and helped us have a truly memorable trip.

Our visit to the red centre was an enjoyable and well organised adventure. Our guide Monty was always punctual and attentive, going the extra mile to make sure our visit went smoothly. The cooking was incredible but so was the calm way in which he wanted involved us all. I would recommend the experience.

Sorry to say but we wouldn't chose Wayoutback Tours again. This is because we are in our late 50's and feel your website was not clear about the length and extent of the walks. The other reason for saying this, is the bus driver was not transparent with information, despite asking for details about things, his default response was "let's wait until everyone is together".

It was fun... But! The communication was a little bit like a disaster... Booked one package, day of departure it turned out that I booked 2 different tours with different groups and guides🤔

Nice trip. Everything was organised quite well. It was little food for lunch the first day so we had to eat something at the restaurant. Incredible views. Our quide was one of best organized people I ever meet.

We had the time of our lives on this tour. The group size was just perfect, small enough to socialise with each person on the bus without feeling crowded. The itinerary can not be faulted, plenty to visit without feeling rushed. We had the best guide ever!! Sarah, you are a legend.Loved every moment on the tour and the incredible passion and knowledge that she freely shared. There was plenty of food.. dare i say too much...In quantity, quality and variety. Loved having the option to sleep in a swag, we opted for swags on all nights, watched the stars and used the tents for ou bags. Best of both worlds. My next trip will obviously be with wayoutback and anyone looking at them , you are in the right place.

My friend and I did the Kangaroo Dreaming tour in August. Phil was our guide for the 5 days. Phil had a great attitude, was very organised and a great cook considering the conditions. Don't expect luxury, because the facilities are pretty basic but still it was a great experience even for a non-camper. Only 3 of us did the whole 5 days - the last night was way, Wayoutback in the dry, sandy riverbed. We were the only people for kilometres, I really enjoyed the evening under the stars. If you can afford the time you really should opt for the Kangaroo Dreaming.
