I had my mums property on the market for over 2 years with Yopa in Torquay. I paid up front for Yopa to do the viewings and sell the property in that time it changed the selling agent four times. In the end I ended up going with a local agent and had three people wanting it. I would not recommend going with any agent wanting money up front because they have had your money and are not really fussed if they sell or not.

PLEASE STAY CLEAR Absolutely terrible company I would give them a miss 100% but overpriced my house and I had one person in the door within three months I did my own private advertising and that works better for me I would not use this company please stay clear-They keep you locked in for 16 weeks and you’re not allowed to go with other agents you’re basically relying on them to sell your property they ignore your taxes they just ignore you all together very unprofessional company

I have been buying a house through yopa estate agents, this has been dragging on for 6 months now, through no help what so ever from yopa,I have repeatedly called for information on the property and the seller, but all calls were ignored or the buck passed on,I spoke to one agent from yopa who said she would give my case priority and would get back on the phone to me,I'm still waiting with two days of the deadline to go with the whole deal in Danger of collapsing .my advice to any would be sellers or buyers is give this real estate agent a very wide berth .These people are not professional people to deal with.

I've had flat on the market for a year. In that time the agent has changed 5 times. The handover is always chaotic, losing keys and access details. Not having heard from them in months I tried to arrange a viewing on my own flat and got no response from YOPA! Absolutely terrible company, once they have your money they have no incentive to do anything, they'd rather avoid the effort of doing any viewings at all. DO NOT USE.

No idea why this has been highlighted as a poor company, my agent has been fantastic throughout. Very pleased with photography and transparency with the hub. Very impressive all round and far better than the high street agent we had before. Half the price.. Must depend on the local agent.

Less than useless. Advertise as full service estate agents with a local agent to look after your sale. For 12 weeks my local agent was based in Plymouth and I live in South Wales. Massively over valued our property too. Don't use them. I wish I had checked for reviews before we used them

I don’t often leave online reviews. However, I feel compelled to warn potential customers of the risks associated with selecting Yopa, who I have found to be thoroughly unprofessional and dishonest. You get what I pay for in life and Yopa are cheap for a reason. Their communication and sales support / management is non existent. The due diligence on prospective buyers is poor which can leave sellers exposed to failed sales and consequently their properties being on the market for long periods which creates doubts for other prospective buyers. I would counsel anybody to stay well clear of this shoddy organisation who have not even bothered to respond to the complaints I have made about the appalling sales service for my flat in East London. The agent couldn’t be bothered to call or email to explain why two offers fell through. Through the sales process I was continually met with one word or one line responses to important questions and the agent was almost always evasive in answering calls.

Avoid! Avoid! And Avoid.. I did not want to give them a star. They are not reliable estate agents. Had a dreadful experience. Total waste of money and time. Appalled to receive an email from Yopa that " The Great News, completion been done." Actually they sold the property to someone else. While my solicitor was waiting for the inquires from the Seller.(after property survey was done.) They did not have courtesy to tell that property was sold to someone else. Would never recommend to my family and friends.

Where to start? Dreadful experience start to finish. Now left to take my case to the ombudsman. Tried to purchase a property through this agency. Suspected it might have an issue getting a mortgage. Agent told me categorically there wouldn’t be an issue. There was an issue. £590 later for totally wasted survey fee and customer services investigation into their employee tells me because he told me this over four weeks ago he can’t remember if he said this or not, and because it was verbal I have no case. We shall see. This outfit is unprofessional and tell lies. I can’t tell anyone if they should use them or not. I won’t be using them again and I firmly believe with this level of incompetence they won’t be around for long

I booked a valuation appointment last week with Yopa. The appointment booked for 09:00 in the morning. They just phoned (16:50) to say they can’t make it. Also told me that if I put my house on the market in January, it would need another valuation because this month’s wouldn’t be accurate. Never heard this before, sounds like a con for more money. What a rip off and a bunch of time wasters.

I would not wish to give it 1 star in fact no stars should be the case. Whatever you do don't use them. We are in a chain where one of the parties at the bottom of the chain used Yopa to sell their property, what has happened is that we are in stalemate due to Yopa not responding to any calls, emails, letters from any other agents in the chain as everyone is ready to exchange but due to not being able to speak to Yopa for information and the fact Yopa have used their own online conveyancing firm as well who to does not respond, the chain is in stalemate and the rest of us cannot move forward and exchange. They just will not respond to anyone and nor does their conveyancing firm they recommend you use they conveyancing firm (backhander! of course) absolute corrupt company, villians! we are at risk of the chain collapsing at any moment because of them being absolutely incompetent. PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THEM AND ANY CONVEYANCING FIRM THEY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE KEEN TO SELL OR BUY A HOME

I would say that if you want to sell your house you shouldn’t use this company! I am a potential buyer, but on 2 occasions (weeks apart) trying to book a viewing was near impossible. The first time I felt that it was too difficult and would take weeks so I gave up. Then after looking at all our other options we decided to try again. We were forced into agreeing to have a valuation even though we said we were under contract with another agent, and then had to wait over a week to see the property and had to accept a viewing at 9pm!! Ridiculously late, but wanted to actually get a look at this property. Anyway, I was due to look at it tomorrow, not received any confirmation or anything. Just looked on rightmove to see that it has now been taken off the market- no contact from Yopa to inform us of this? This company is a joke - I would avoid at all costs - what you might save in fees is not worth it.

I saw a house on yopa recently as we were thinking about downsizing - don’t need a mortgage - went through the booking system and got a call from yopa - to cut a long story short wouldn’t give me a viewing as my house wasn’t on the market - ( actually it didn’t need to be ) and because the house in question ‘ had offers already’ so why wasn’t it sold then ? It’s a shame - estate agency is a people business, I’d never use them

YOPA is a FIXED FEE ESTATE AGENT so they are not bothered or concerned what the property sells for because they are either way paid their fee. They do not even try to sell the property for the highest price. I understand the property market very well, sometimes it can exceed the asking price and sometime not. My friend had her property with YOPA but withdrew with them and went with another estate agent and it went well beyond the asking price But with YOPA it sold but they were persuading her to take the 3 offer which was well over the asking price Though even the property had been up for only 1 day. So they were not taking more viewings given the fact the property only had been up for a day. She left it for a week with the other agent and went with the highest offer which was of course well over the asking price I’d rather go for quality than cheapness.

I could write this review a 100 times and give a different interpretation each time, however, the final common denominator would be the same, in my experience was very disappointing and exceedingly stressful. That said, I did eventually achieve a sale, however, had I not been very experienced in property as a developer, it would most certainly would’ve been a different story. I won’t go overboard into my personal experience in detail, I’d be here quite some time, although I will generalise my areas of concern. This particular property was in Scotland and as my career and all my previous experience has been in England, I had no experience of the different marketing and legal procedures, of which there are plenty. On that basis I felt it prudent to carry out some research and due diligence, which I felt I did satisfactorily as to make an informed decision who and what service to use for my sale. Note, I would strongly advise you try to overlook the very attractive price and concentrate on provision of service & performance. On this occasion, I allowed myself to be somewhat swayed by the overall price for the service's I required. And paid the price. As I was located some 500 miles from the property in a different country, I decided to use an online agent over a local high street option. I needed as a must have, an agent / service to be contactable with good communication, a good marketing presence, hosted viewing service, good local market experience, access to quality legal and conveyancing services at reasonable fees. Basically the full month. YOPA, on face value appeared to provide all of this and some, with an online hub / portal where I could log in and have all of my property details amongst a host of other functions at a very attractive price, its Trustpilot reviews were also very good. I did say I wouldn’t go into great detail of my personal experience, as most situations will differ with many variables changing scenarios and subsequent outcomes. What I will do is generalise my view with a brief account. Cost - Excellent in comparison to other like for like services. Services offered - Excellent, with the full range of what’s required. Online marketing - Good, on most of the ones you’ll want, Rightmove, Zoopla etc., although missing from 1 or 2 others in Scotland. Online customer portal - Potentially, very good - Reality, average with a few glaring flaws of functionality & seemingly obvious functions missing. Online contact-ability / communication - Poor, many a frustrating occurrence trying to communicate with my personal online agent/advisor, ended up raising a complaint over this issue. Which was addressed eventually by management. Local agent performance - Awful. While I’m sure in general walk of life a very nice lady, in the context of acting as my allocated agent, terrible. With a bubbly and keen demeanour and a declared 15 years + experience, all was overshadowed by terrible communication with bad advice & decision making. Very poor preparation for viewings. No longer with YOPA. I must say at this stage, my property had to taken offline for some weeks as I had to make an official complaint regard my local agent and various other provision of service issues, compounded by an unsatisfactory service provided by a 3rd party recommended by YOPA. * In my opinion all third party services recommended by YOPA all proved to be overpriced and low on quality.* Resolution service / team - Very good, while I believe I strong grounds on which to receive a greater reimbursement, I was happy with the final agreed outcome. They actually became my point of contact overseeing my account to completion of sale as was my dis-satisfaction with other individuals & departments. Good consciencesness of customers situations. In conclusion, I strongly feel had I not personally stepped up to rattle their tree and sort out many an issue, provide details, spreadsheets and marketing information along with supplying fact sheets to local agent, I sincerely doubt a sale would have been achieved at the agreed sale price any time soon. Unless you’re prepared to be very hands on with a good understanding or experience of property markets and transaction services, tread very, very carefully.

I phoned YOPA as soon as the sale board went up near to my house, a very unprofessional lady answered the phoned who had no clue of what I was talking about. Then after repeating myself for 10 mins she said that they are not taking viewing yet but in a weeks time they will be taking appointments for viewing. So I called up on the day in fact afternoon that it was advertised on right move. With great difficulty I got an appointment, just to be texted a day before the actual viewing to say that the appointment will have to be cancelled as they have had an offer and has been excepted. But what I can’t understand is that what was all this white lies that we were told. Even if the offer was excepted I might have offered a higher offer. But they don’t care as flat rate fee not the more you sell for the more commission you make because they know if it sells for asking price or in excess off or offers over they will only get the fixed rate fee. So they don’t care. This property in question is for a stoke on Trent property postcode ST4 8 and the agent is Felicity Radnor avoid her she is very rude and not professional at all in my opinion. If I find out ever that she is someone who I would have to deal with, believe me prior to me dealing with her I will say Good Bye.
