The service is second to none - top marks for Bay Sports on quick, personalised, responsive service. And patience with a couple of my followup questions. I haven't seen it if it exists but a user forum (perhaps using the facebook page?) for questions and experiences shared by us might help even more. The Kayak - she is beautiful. Sleeker - and so faster - than most others around (slightly less stable is the tradeoff, but I haven't tipped her over yet as the keel is good). And just looks so awesome as she purrs through the water. I have now been on Lake, calm ocean and in creek. A couple of tiny matters that could be looked at. The mini-trolley is 2-3cms too wide to fully fit into the rear compartment. That was a selling point, so a minor disappointment there. Also, the seating cockpit has no way of tipping out collected water. A small bunghole on the top side would resolve that, and make it easier to do a quick bale as waves (or rain) or just water sloshed in as I get in and out collects there. I am still getting the rudder strings right for best effect there, but I am starting to see how that'll come together. Work in progress for me still. And all up well under a grand - for all the above. That's astounding value, Australian made high quality. Cannot be sad about that at all. This is a positive 4.5+ stars ... all but perfection. The SS. Kalianna Kayak is all but perfect.
