The cottage is situated in the beautiful Duddon Valley, right by the Duddon river. It’s absolutely idyllic for anyone looking to reconnect with the great outdoors. The cottage itself is cosy and well equipped. We were a party of 4 adults and 1 child and the space was perfect. A stroll down the lane leads to a well earned drink at the Newfield In but apart from that you need to get in a car to go anywhere resembling a shop or amenity and drive for at least 6 miles. Broughton-in-Furness is the nearest Deli/butchers/bakery - we got everything we needed here. Also, worth a trip to Munster Castle - around a 30 minute drive - we’ll worth it. Loads to see and do. We would definitely like to return to Riverside Cottage.
