I have an installation of BirdNET Pi on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ that was hitting the soft temperature limit and throttling the Pi even though it had a heatsink fitted and the lid and sides of the case. I went with this hat as I have the Argon Neo cases for my Pi 4 and was very pleased with them. The board turned up and was well built, install was easy although the heatsink I had was too tall so I removed it. Setup was done with a single Bash command, I later added some extra temperature set points by manually editing the config file. The fan is relatively quiet at low speeds, I haven't set it to full speed yet as 5-10% speed is keeping the Pi nicely cooled now with no signs of throttling. The Pi now sits at around 40-45 degree mark. As always the Pi Hut delivered an excellent service with a speedy delivery and everything well packaged.
