hello!
a couple of thoughts. firstly, we love the table! we had a hard time finding a smaller, solid oak table with and extension (we have a small house), so we are stoked on it. we've already had two dinner parties with four adults and 4 kids gathered around it. the storage bag for the leaf is a rad element, the felt pads on the legs glide really well, and it all seams together seamlessly with the leaf installed. the brass alignment pins are a great touch.
there were a few hiccups during assembly that i'd like to bring to light. upon opening and removing the legs, one leg had inccured some damage from the other components nested by it (see attached images). there was a little tear-out on one of the aprons (image attached). and one of the nutserts was inserted crooked (image attached), which made it hard to get it to start threading in properly. and lastly, one of the aprons on the extension side was offset to the left by a bit (3-4mm), and one of the 45° legs had quite a gap between it and the apron, and the other side was tight enough that i had to put some pressure on it to get the bolts started. lastly, the adhesive used on the flat round magnets failed in transit. it almost feels like you could drill a small hole with a forstner bit and epoxy a magnet in the table top?
just a note is that both my wife and I are both in the retail design and fixturing world, so we pay attention to the little details, probably more than the next person :) we're really happy with it, we will probably add the bench seating once the kids are out of their highchairs
