There are a few things in life that you should never cheap out on and recovery gear is one of them. In some scenarios, it will be the difference whether your car gets home or not. When I was shopping for a winch, I researched and reviewed *everything* and the Carbon Winch came out on top. The V3 is one of the lightest on the market (if not the lightest), the winch is rated IP68 which means you can actually get it properly wet and it will survive it, AND it has great warranties to cover it all. I installed this into my generation 5 GMF bar with a couple of custom brackets and the fit is amazing. Everything is within reach and easily accessible. The new, larger, bulkier hook is pretty awesome too. Most of the winches on the market come with a little dicky hook or you need to BYO. Only thing to note is depending on where you hook/mount it, it may offset your number plate or not fit on all the usual spots. Easy fix though, find somewhere else to hook it or widen the factory tie down point to be slightly easier to get it into. All in all 10/10 unit and wouldn't recommend anything else now that I've done it.
