A staple piece of classical clothing. Made as a replica of Shackleton sweater. Very impressed how alike it looks when I see old pictures of Shakleton wearing the same sweater! Warm, protective and cozy. I had to wash it and that was bothersome. Stretched and got longer in the body without hanging it to dry. Had to rewash it and try to “shrink” the body, but not the arms. Difficult. Also used a week to dry out. Like a selvage Japanese denim: not for washing, I presume. Just back from a winter trip with tent and sled in Norwegian mountains. Choose to bring the Hero instead of a fleece for warmth in tent and camp. Did not regret it. Felt very comfortable. Wore a lot outside in snow, wind and -10 with a down vest over. Felt comfortable and nice throughout. A very good weather for years to keep.
