We had booked just because of the views. What we got was so much more. The hosts, Ruth, Edwin and their entire family could not be more accommodating. They welcomed us like family. Their entire family even went out of their way to help me set up for my proposal to my now fiancé in secret (she said yes). We stayed on their farm, which they showed us around and we saw the dairy cows, the pets they keep and, funniest of all, the naughty lambs who would follow you around or try to escape! It's a great location with awesome views across the Lake District and close enough to everything, yet very peaceful. We will be back and make our stays at Whitbarrow Farm a regular family occasion.
