I’ve had a Tepui Ayer and a Tepui Autana. They are both great tents but this one is better. Why? Simplicity. No stargazer windows that you never use and tend to leak if don’t have your rainfly on when that freak storm rolls in at night. No guy lines needed for the ladder overhang. It’s a well built and comfortable tent that reliably does what it’s suppose to do. No bells and whistles that you will rarely or never use. But it does come with an annex which is probably pretty sweet but I will never use because it’s just one more thing to carry. It’s kind of like the “crank down your windows, while manually shifting your truck” version of the RTT world. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s from ARB, so quality is to be expected and they delivered. Ive got well over 100 nights between my previous 2 RTTs and 90% of those nights are truly “off the grid” and in the Backcountry. I don’t want gimmick options, I just want a tent that works, that’s why I don’t own the other two anymore. I only have 1/2 dozen nights in this one so far, but I’m impressed.
