The NX10 is MUCH improved over the NX7 I tried 5 years ago. The NX10 feels much more solid as it has more weight to it. It is accurate and gives the same distance measurement as a Bushnell Tour V5. My old NX7 did not give reliable distance measurements so I returned it. I do have confidence in the NX10 - the internals have been upgraded and is very accurate now. The size is nice and fits my hands well. I have not used the magnet mount because I always walk, but it feels like it attaches as strong as a Bushnell when I tried it on a friend's cart.
I have been researching reviews of rangefinders for several months. I decided to try the NX10 after all the positive reviews and testing. The NX10 does what a rangefinder is supposed to do - give you the correct distance to a target. The number displayed is the same as from a $400, $500, or $600 rangefinder. I have never found a need for a red display because I don't play in the dark. The display is easily read from early morning to late in the afternoon.
I found two minor issues. It has missed the pin a couple of times. One time the displayed yardage was over 600 yards so it was obvious. Another time it read 169 when the actual yardage was 109. When I re-shot the yardage, it showed the 109 to the pin instead of the 169 to the trees behind the green. I am sure it was just I didn't pay attention to where I was aiming the NX10. The biggest issue for me is I find the smooth plastic to be very slippery. It definitely needs some rubbery texture for grip. I have added some adhesive foam to the removable plate for added grip. It helps but is still a little too slippery. I may add some more foam to the other parts of the rangefinder. Or I might even get more extreme and add a couple of small pieces of grip tape to it (rough tape that is used on steps to keep from slipping).
Overall, it is a very good value for the price and has a great warranty and free replacement batteries. I have confidence in the distances and I feel like it is built to last. It is replacing my current Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 which I bought in 2006. I hope this rangefinder will last as long.
