Like many other ordinary folk I find Raspberry Pi hardware very fiddly, everything is on such a small scale. With this in mind I decided to review this KKSB case for the Raspberry Pi 5. Assembly instructions were not provided with the case and not one for trawling the Internet for videos I dashed headlong into the project. The supplied Standoffs for use with a HAT were metal, possibly brass and decent quality although fitting them in the rear corners of the case was tricky, I eventually resorted to a little tool supplied with a PC Case for screwing in motherboard standoffs with a screwdriver. The HAT itself was easy enough to fit, the PCIe cable was fiddly in the confined space but I managed it first time. The top of the case must be fitted with the slot facing the rear or the side panel mounting holes will not match up. There are an assortment of mounting points on the base of the case which I am tempted to use to mount my Pi in an unobtrusive place. All in all it seems like a sturdy case, it utilises the power switch simply but effectively and is quiet with my PI 5.
