This lily package arrived alive and well, but with practically with no roots. The pic sent is root growth just from the 3 days they've been planted. I planted them (there were two small ones in the package) in the pond pot from ya'll, with the potting medium from y'all, and pea gravel on top. Overnight, it grew amazingly fast and I had lilypads floating on the water the next day. But now, two days after that, one of the plants was floating on the water's surface. I will have to replant it in another pot, but the issue here is that there are no roots to anchor it down with. There was virtually no corm, and the roots from it had been cut almost completely off. I have four medium size koi in this pond and I feel certain that if the plants had had a little more root/corm length, they'd have stayed in place. One is still on the pot, but I don't know for how long. Because of this, I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5. Also, can I expect them to bloom this summer here in VA or does they need another season?
