I really like how this dough hook works. It does a great job of getting all the dough at the bottom and you don't need any extra scraper attachment like with the Bosch. However the plastic arm is not a solid piece and breaks very easily. It is very disappointing that they included such a cheaply made hook with such a awesome mixer. Then if you want the all metal hook you have to spend another hundred dollars.
I also want to mention that I only ever hand washed this and never ran it through the dishwasher.
