BARCLAY IS THE VERY WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVERY HAD! I'm a 30-year AIR Force veteran ....having worked as a Human Resource Manager...we would have been fired for such incompetence! I have been trying to get ONE SIMPLE question answered and have been on hold .....and transferred now from 11 am to 2:30 pm and STILL NO ANSWERS! Does the CEO know this is going on in the company? Just look at the below complaints...obviously NO ONE CARES. I even had a SO-CALLED SUPERVISOR HANG UP ON ME. Some of the incompetent people I have talked to are Cherlyn ID # COE818....Brandy ID # ALSBBL....and others refused to give their ID numbers or told me that they don't have one!!!! Really? This is a travel card and they can't answer my question so what do they do? Just keep transferring the call!!! Is this what Barclay trains their people to do? and another problem....ALL THE SUPERVISORS ARE BUSY....NO ONE WILL TRANSFER YOU TO ONE. DOES MANAGEMENT KNOW THIS? I would like someone from the CEO's office to call me so I can let him/her know what is going on. If this is going to be how Barclay treats customers then people need to find another travel card that will be responsive. I have filed a complaint with a customer rep and we will see if they care about us and our business.

if i could give 0 stars i would. the customer service is AWFUL!!!!!!!! i will never ever open another card with this service. it’s absolutely awful. what a terrible terrible company.

Takes over and over to get in or not at all. Customer service a laugh! Hard to even pay your bill!! I wonder if they’re trying to discourage low interest AARP customers!!

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Waiting now for over 93 minutes to get through to a customer service representative. Also paid balance before it was due and they charged me £90.00+. Such a dreadful company if you can go elsewhere.

Just horrible customer service. You do business with them for 10 years and they won’t support you when you’re being taken advantage of by predatory merchants. I’m out the goods that I sent back and $180. What a joke. GO WITH AMEX!

Bad company if a fraudulent charge has been made. They made me jump through the hoops after notifying me of fraudulent charge. I had to call the company that charge my card and explain I didn't make the charge, of course they didn't care and wouldn't reverse the charge and then Barclay continued with the charge because charging company had tracking number that I had receive the product when I never did. Wouldn't even give them one star.

I used their card to make a purchase Jetblue vacations for 2 people. Upon arrival to all inclusive hotel Casa Marina my girlfriend who is Dominican were harassed by hotel personnel she was called prostitute and other names, in addition I was being asked to pay extra money to let her in. I canceled the hotel immediately. Instead of Jetblue vacations to refund me full amount and issue apology they decided to stick with hotel and made me guilty. Which shows you what company willing to do just to make little bit of money even though I was with them over 8 years.

What is wrong with Barclaycard is that customer service is probably the worse in the U.K. Impossible to speak to a human being, emails are ignored by both customer service and the Chief Executives office, impossible to register the app on a new device….. I could go on but I am slowly but surely losing the will to live with Barclays. If you are looking for a credit card DO NOT APPLY FOR A BARCLAYCARD IT SIMPLY IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS AND HASSLE. Over the years I have used a number of credit cards and Barclaycard is by a long way the worse.

AARP went from Chase to Barclay's and it is a cluster F**K. I use USAA to make payments. I sent in a total payment (full balance) and they says they didn't get it. I have the returned check with their bank endorsement on the back. USAA has verified they have the money. But they still say it isn't there. They are now harassing me with minimum payment BS while they degrade my credit rating. They say it will take 2 months to research, in the mean time they report you as in arrears. Total fraud and defamation.

Well barclay has been my card of choice for years but they frustrated me for last time I have other credit cards I can use if barclay can’t even get its web site right than I say screw them and getting a real person that you can understand when you call is impossible I’m going back to discover card they have great customer service and barclay in going in the safe to never be used again

I took them up on a balance transfer offer. I then knew I would be going out of the country and unable to get my mail, check balances, make regular payments manually, so I set up auto-pay for $100 over the minimum payment due. I then return a few months later to find my minimum payment went from approx. $225 a month to over $500 per month. I also got calls from people on voice mail that I couldn't understand. They apparently outsource their customer service to people who can barely speak English. I wish I had never heard of this card and plan to take a small loan to pay off the balance and then never, ever touch it again as long as I live. A horrible company, a horrible card.

Impossible to access details of spending on credit card account. Impossible to access online credit card account. I am in the process of contacting financial services authority to ask that Barclaycard lose their licence to trade in financial products in the UK. Their customer service is absolutely dreadful. If you are looking for a credit card AVOID Barclaycard

stupid bank sent me to collection when I made my payment and the balance is 0.00 still they sent me to collection and I have 5 months trying to fix this situation and employees so !@#$$% do not know what they say nor are they qualified for customer service client, you speak and you can hear chickens, cows and sheep like they are on a farm that is if you count the employees !@#$% with a middle eastern accent they are not understood at all this bank ruined my credit but I will report them to the consumer financial protection bureau I have spoken with supervisors I have sent copies from my bank where it says that they have already been paid even a check they sent me when I closed the stupid account they have given me case numbers to follow up on the problem another day! !#$^&&$ employees do not find these cases people never get a credit card with this bank it's crap 2 times I used it $216.81 they sent my credit to hell

The worst experience! They call it a glitch, they have an error on my account since August 28. Talked to 15 people at least. Promising correction but as of Oct 18th, not done. I reported them to several agencies in the US and will follow government complaints in England. THEY NEED AN AUDIT. TRYING TO OVERCHARGE ME.

I have never experienced a credit card company as bad as BARCLAYS. After 3 hours of trying to explain my card was denied and that I don't have a balance. I always try and pay in full. They don't know why it was denied. They don't show any problem with my card. Then I am transferred to someone else who tells me it has been deactivated, but without any reason. After the third transfer to another unhelpful person, I am told in 7 to 10 days I will get a new credit card but I have to apply again. I have been using this card for 8 years and now it is deactivated for no reason. I am canceling the card. There are other credit card companies with travel mileage. SO FRUSTRATING!! Thank God I had my American Express to catch my flight back home. Worst customer service EVER!!

I should have read these reviews before getting a Barclays CC. Every month I pay my statement total. Been doing it for years. This past month I paid as usual, Barclays requested a duplicate payment from my bank…their error…my bank put a stop payment on the second request…Barclays realized they made a mistake and returned the original payment…to make a long story short I’m still dealing with this issues three weeks later. Barclays put a hold on my account, which means I can’t use my credit card, when this was all their fault! I paid the card on time and in full! Oh and this happened on all three Barclays cards JetBlue, Gap and Athleta. What in the world! Do better Barclays. I’m seriously considering closing all three cards!

In general this is the worst customer service of any credit card I have. Always side with the merchant no matter how much evidence you present of their dishonesty, website always down, can't file an online dispute until two weeks after a transaction has posted, can't call in a dispute because of "system upgrades" at 1:30 in the afternoon. Planning on closing this card ASAP.
