I received a replacement card and have been unable to use it for any transaction as of yet with success after authorizing the card. I have been declined each time when attempting to use it. I've spoken to several customer service representatives each day since I received it and have been told that the problem was resolved. After long holds and verifying personal info time and time again, I began to ask customer service reps to stay on the phone and wait for me to attempt to use my card (put money on an app like Dunkin Donuts, Chick-Fil-A). Once I reported that my card was declined again, they hung up on me. This happened multiple times.

Suppossed to receive 2X points on purchases to Carnival. That does not happen unless you call them and complain that you only received 1X

Don’t open American Airlines Card with them, I opened immediately I got fraudulent charges in British Bahamas, I closed the account immediately they said I had to go through a dispute process to get my money back they are full of fraud.

It is a terrible credit card company. I opened a card and after 2 weeks decided to cancel it because of the high annual fee for the card $89. They charged the annual fee. I asked to reembrace me back, because I closed in 2 weeks. I did not used the credit card. Called many times around 6-10. Every time was told a check will be send to me. Never received any letter or notification regarding my inquiry. Very poor and bad customer service.

Applied for a card with Barclay American Airlines. Set me a message they needed additional stuff sent to them which I sent. Put everything in the same mode. And they claim they didn't get one piece. I tell them to cancel the credit card application. Cause I've been on the phone with them for 4 times I applied with Wells Fargo got the card instantly. No problems, no request for additional information. Customer service was horrible.

Poor customer service. Needed help with a credit card charge and was hung up on and no return phone call. Also prior the customer service people acted not even telling the truth. I will be canceling my services after my card is paid off. Waste of money and time. Don’t use this credit card provider…..

There are no native English speaking customer service agents, give that thought up entirely. Expect to spend an hour or two on the phone trying to find a service rep who can help you.

This card is worse. I closed my account with full payment may 2023. After I closed they still charging me interest. I called customer service few times but they couldn't give me proper answer. Two weeks ago someone hangup on me.

Atrocious service constantly being asked to verify name when I passed the service checks. The customer service agent would not even transfer me to a manager when asked. I am looking to close this card as they are no help and the App forces me to call the useless agents, as no messaging service

DO NOT USE THIS CARD! Don't open. Stand clear of Barclay's credit card and services. I'm in the process of opening an investigation against their dispute departmen. Also, contacting local news sources and using social media to bring light to the unethical practices they are using on there customers. .

worst customer service ever, i locked my card and still had fraudulent activity and they told me to call twice i attempted to call and been on hold for hours, my third attempt currently is 2hrs 10 mins still waiting.

I bought a cooker and only after 13 months it malfunctioned. I'd bought it using my barclaycard as I thought I would have some protection if I had a problem. So wrong I was , after 6 months of phoning barclaycard sending them information they asked for I still have no contact from them as to what is happening over my complaint. I feel absolutely disgusted in their sloppy customer service. I've now had to get the ombudsman involved as I can't get any where with them. I wouldn't even give them one star if that option was possible

no customer service, I close my account in April , and in July appear a fraudulent charge and I calling for hours for days and always says we will investigate....lol

If I could give a zero I would! This has to be the most ridiculous company I’ve ever dealt with ever I received my card less than three months ago they gave me a $2000 balance ….I used some of on my card I paid that balance completely in full, I used my fun points for portion of a cruise. They took all of my $2000 and now say I have only $302 in credit. No one contacted me !!!!! This happened the day I used my carnival cruise credits……. If this is how you treat your customers no one‘s gonna wanna deal with you. This is not OK. I was supposed to leave on vacation in two days and you guys took away all of my Carnival stuff I’m gonna be on a carnival ship. You took away my carnival points all of my credit. You basically are trying to ruin my vacation, that’s OK we will not be dealing with you any longer will go to much mature and better company like capital one . ALSO WE ARE FILING A LAWSUIT !!! Got a Barclays Carnival card. Initially had a $1800 credit limit. Used the card to make cruise excursions and other various purchases. Had a perfect payment history and paid card off after about three months of use. Shortly thereafter I made some purchase and it was declined. Come to find out that they lowered my credit limit to $1200 and did not advise me. I spoke with customer service (who could barely speak any English) and they would not tell me why my limit was lowered but that an explanation letter had been sent in the mail. I never got any letter. I paid off my balance again and shortly thereafter finally got a letter in the mail stating that they were now lowering my limit to $800 do to derogatory credit although I have a perfect pay history on all of my accounts. Did not use the card for three months and decided to use it again for various purchases and had it declined again. Called customer service back again and they advised me in broken English that my limit had recently been reduced to $500 now but again no notification from the creditor and they claim another letter had gone out in the mail. So, now I’m done with these people and am canceling my card. They operate unethically and have terrible customer service. Don’t waste your time on any card backed by Barclay!

I ordered cash advance checks because I had work done on the house by Handy Man who doesn’t accept credit cards and I didn’t want to dig into my checking or savings accounts. They kept saying that the checks were sent on August 21, but they were never sent. I spoke to five different people who work for Barclaycard each time they told me it showed that it was mailed, each time it was a lie because I spoke to a supervisor who said the original person I asked to send me the checks, never bothered to do so. They just kept lying to cover for each other. Their customer service is garbage.

I did not open an account with Barclays. They bought out a card company I had previously opened an account with. I hardly used my Barclays card when the switch happened because they were not the company I signed up with and I wasn't comfortable with the switch. But I have always been told that closing credit cards hurts personal credit and I was hesitant to close the card for this reason. I eventually I closed my Barclays Card about a year after this happened, mostly for lack of use. I recently discovered that I had an outstanding bill and was two years past due, that was effecting my credit score. After I called Barclays multiple times and spoke to multiple different people at different levels within the company I discovered that I had one item on automatic bill pay. And even after my card was closed, Barclays still accepted the auto renewal charge. Barclays never sent me a statement because my account was closed, then let the interest build for two years and I only found out by mistake. I was told they would send me all my past invoices so I could investigate the matter. I never received the statements. I was told I would receive a verification I paid the outstanding balance, I never did. I only know because my check cleared. Every person I spoke to had a different version of the truth. This is a terrible company and should be investigated by the DOJ. I plan to write a letter to legal services and encourage them to follow up. Barclays is despicable.

I did one star because I had to make a selection. This credit card is by far the worse credit card I’ve ever owned. I have paid lump sumps mostly every time, to keep my credit line under 50% credit used, and for the second time, after I pay another lump sump, they reduced my credit limit again leaving the remaining balance reflecting more than 85% credit been used. Now, why would I pay another lump sump? For them to reduce the credit line again? You make big payments as an effort to have the credit available and keep using it. But no, they will reduce your credit limit, leaving you without the money (you just paid) and without the credit. The worse credit card. I will stop using this card, pay my remaining balance for as long as it takes making the minimum payment (never a lump sump again). Will never recommend this card. They will damage your credit more than they would fix it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS CARD.
