Worst customer service ever, both company and staff. On the phone for over 1:30 minutes, they kept passing me from one agent to another, the last was over 40 minute before i hung up. They are thieves, they charge you even during interest free period and no one could either own up or try to resolve the issue, instead push you to the next person. Desist from using them. they worth minus 10 star rating.

Because of their technical issues and inability for me to contact them they left an erroneous late payment on my credit report. Spent weeks trying to contact them, went into branch, raised complaints and never heard anything. I can contact Halifax in under 5 mins. Got rejected for our mortgage today, estimated cost of £8k because of their incompetence. My complaint will be being escalated to the FCA. DO NOT USE THEM.

Absolutely shocking! I've been trying to cancel a lost card for 2 months. You can never get through and when I do, I am just getting knocked from pillar to post and being transferred from this person to the next just to be told they cannot cancel and order me a new card. I wish I could give no stars because Barclaycard are that dreadful. I will be cutting ties with them after this. An absolute disgrace of a company.

I have had this Barclay Credit card for over 20 years. I received a letter stating account closed? I have very good credit and didnt understand why? When I called they stated due to not using it often enough. What! Are you kidding me ... I had not used it for over a year so they cancelled me. They did say I could reapply. No thank you. I have cards not used well over that and have not used them and they didnt kick me to the curb. Good riddance

By far the worst customer experience. I know things are difficult at the moment but I have yet to find an answer to my problem. Staff dont listen and pass you onto another department and another queue.

I know it's trying times, but phoned and 80 minutes later, still no answer, yet I phone RBS and got an answer within one minute and they are going through the same trying times as the rest of us!

I am so tired of trying to get them to do what was right and issue me a credit (which was sent by the merchant so that they have NO EXCUSE). I don't even want to go into details. I just want to say, avoid Barclay's credit cards. I plan to pay mine off, never to be used again. They advertise for cards with 2 airmiles programs. It's not worth the miles for their crappy, user-unfriendly customer "service". The worst!!!!

They don’t lower interest rates even after 10 years. I requested a lower rate based on payment history, balance, and credit score. “We don’t have any programs for that”. Well I don’t have to use your card.

Do NOT recommend this card for anyone!! After having the card for a year & not using it, they said they would close my account if I didn’t use it. I didn’t want my account to close so I ordered a new card. Only to find out they lowered by available credit $500 less than what it was without telling me!! Will not be using this card anyone & I will be closing my account. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Barclay Credit card is the Worst Card in my life time. IT charge me for transaction that I even don't attempted at all and when I called them, they asked me to deal with the merchant and file dispute form. Merchant offer to do 3 way conference call and end up Barclay system is down and they can' t see my Acct. Then I charge 1 transaction, they authorized 3x transaction which make my balance goes down. Then take another 2 or 3 days to cleared it out. Its a worst Card. If you have choice, stay away from Barclay Card. Its totally a night mare of your life

The customer services is terrible. Simple issues require multiple phone calls. Delays in getting through to customer service due to frustrating AI.

Appalling bank, flawed systems! What an appalling company. They asked me for my latest bank statements which I duly provided. After a few days I then discover they want the latest statement (i.e. a statement that has not yet been issued as I explained to them!). They seem to think that I can provide them with something that doesn’t yet exist!!! On top of everything else they addressed me by the wrong name, a name that had nothing to do with me whatsoever. The bank that gets your name wrong can also get a lot of other things wrong. Wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them! Pathetic!

Barclay customer for some time I decided to get a BARCLAYCARD. This was a start of a lengthy process of phone calls and visits to the Barclays Branch. First problem is that to activate a card requires a visit to the branch office and the ATM machine located within. Second problem is that both Barclay Bank and Barclaycard operate separate apps in IOS. The Barclaycard App is not comprehensive and is difficult to set-up direct debit payments. Their help-desk suggested I delete the Barclaycard App and set up a Barclays Bank App which will allow access to Barclaycard as well as other accounts. Easier said then done, help-desk now suggest that I need a Pin-sentry device, which also need activation. Apparently, I only need it on a one-off bases as any future recipients can be set up using two tier variation using my IPhone. What a waste of time getting the Pin-sentry. I get through all these hurdles. Including 2 months it takes Barclaycard to set-up a direct debit from my Barclays account. How difficult can this be? I got several emails from them informing of the progress - apparently is it that complex. The final straw, was when I was told that they cannot increase my credit limit from the token £200 because no evidence of my financial viability (proof of earning) was provided with 45 days of the opening of the Barclaycard credit account. As they are not allowed to look into my Barclays Account. I can however take two paper copies from my account and show them at the Branch Office or upload them to the website. I protested. My problem was elevated to the Customers Solution Team. A lady from the Solutions team called to inform me that I have an option of waiting 6 months before I can apply for credit limit increase because between 45 days and 6 months there is a dead period where nothing can happen - accept closing the account altogether. This is exactly what I did.

Barclaycard poor poor poor makes changes no explanation no letter it said it had sent feeling very upset like they dont trust me. Always been a good customer to them very disappointed . Go elsewhere

I basically was penalized for cosigning my son's student loan and Barclay reduced my credit line over 90% without mail notification!! I was taken aback in a major way!! I've always paid on time and they were increasing my line every six month.I tried to redeem my reward points on three occasions and they never updated my address correctly. This is what happens when you sacrifice customer service and move the call centers overseas. Last week I gladly closed my account on my terms as it's the WORST card I've ever had!!

As a company we had charged a customer £2200 and the card declined the customer provided an AMEX went through no issues. The next day we had a call from the worse admin person ever, Lucy Cook to be precise, asking us why we tried to take the payment, explained it was declined and here is the proof, and sent her details, with no further communication a letter was supposedly sent to the company to say seize trading on machine, letter we not sent, anyhow unknowing we continued to use the service now have nearly 10K locked with them and they have just advised we cannot get paid for 180 days . just in case of chargebacks. DO NOT USE there merchant services absolutely shambolic I have complained to financial ombudsman hopefully they can help. Best bit - reason for closure - we do not own all the cars we advertise. well when you book an airline ticket with a travel agent they dont own planes.

Worst card ever and I have had many since I am almost 80. I would give them a minus 10 rating when it comes to customer service and backing up their customers. 3 months ago while traveling out of the country a fraudulent charge in excess of $700 was put on my card for a small purchase. I got no receipt since his credit card machine was not printing, but I got a hand written receipt showing the purchase. My signature was forged on the transaction, not even close to my own signature which Barclays had and could have compared. They refuse to remove the unauthorized charge saying they received verification from the merchant that I signed. I had two witnesses with me but they never bothered to speak to them even after they wrote Barclays letters saying I did not make this purchase. They really don't care about their customers and I advise anyone who has a Barclay card to g et rid of it as soon as possible.

Worst company ever. You have difficulty paying using the app. They actually reduced my limit from 1600£ to 260 due to a.late payment of 14£ which I had difficulty paying it. I had to cancel my Barclaycard as I had no choice. I will definitely not recomand them
