Ordered an item from the Blacks website with delivery to one of their stores. Ordered on Monday evening, the item was listed as in stock. After a phone call on Wednesday it transpired that it hasn't been dispatched. I then asked to cancel the order as I needed this item quite soon and could buy it elsewhere with much faster delivery. I was assured on the phone that the order will be cancelled. Just in case, I put this in an email to the customer service and got a reply that it will be cancelled. At the end of the week I receive an email that the item has been dispatched. An absolutely abysmal service, extremely slow (dispatch of an in-stock item took almost a week) and customer service unreliable. Avoid.

I placed my order on 4 November. After one week I asked them about my order. They told me that the order was dispatched. After another week I asked them again. I was told the order was canceled by them. Without further explanation. Absolutely untrustworthy!!! Never again!!!

Returned an online order within good time, unused and in original packaging but my refund was refused. No right to discuss, they just sent me all the products back! Impossible to get through to customer service to discuss.

I purchased a Eurohike tent about 1 1/2 years ago and have had 2 poles break, trying to find spares for Eurohike is impossible, I spoke with customer services and was told that they no longer do these poles, so a £300 tent and no back up! Absolutely ridiculous, I will never by Eurohike again.

I ordered a pair of Gore-tex shoes from Blacks online. It gave me the option for the size I required so placed the order and opted for the next day delivery to ensure they would arrive in time for the weekend, which they did however I opened the package to a tatty box that had clearly been kicked about the shop for a while with no paper etc (all well and good but thee were bought as a birthday gift) inside just the shoes which were a size too small. I checked the invoice and it clearly stated the size I had ordered was correct. I called the customer services team right away and although apologetic not very sympathetic. Apparently the size I required was out of stock so god knows why they sent the size smaller. Now I have to go and run around for a new birthday gift whilst trying get to a post office to send the other back. Very poor indeed.

I ordered a custom picture collage poster. it was a promotion from Telus to get a free one, they pay everything. Awesome right? I jumped on this opportunity, it would have been perfect for my mother-in-;aw. I made the collage, uploaded and got the confirmation e-mail in the mail that is would be ready and shipped within 3-5 days. 10 days passes I hear nothing, not e-mail or mail so I contacted them and they said despite the confirmation email THEY sent, there was an error in the upload and that i could re-upload but they will not honour the promotion from telus. HORRID service absolutely unacceptable and I will never get another lens, camera, or anything picture related from here again.

Well where to begin. I choose a very nice coat as my Christmas present from blacks. Only after a couple of weeks the coat developed a small tear over the pocket. I tried to return it to blacks receipt in hand, thinking that it would be a simple return an refund, but oh no... They refused to replace it or refund, saying it's the companies policy to send all faulty goods for inspection. It should take about three weeks! I asked to talk to a manager, but was instead given a phone number to ring! Oh and we don't have a phone for you to use here! 20 minutes of waiting on the phone ( in the shop lol) I got through to a person. I tried to explain about the problem, sales of goods act etc. Fit for purpose ( water proof jacket with a split). Reasonable quality..... Six weeks? No avail. A very defensive and indifferent attitude. I got the impression , WE have your money and WE get to check if WE think you damaged it. I will not be shopping at blacks ever again
