“This shed was a headache to assemble and I never would recommend this product to anyone. I’m so disappointed with Amazon for having this product in their catalog”
“This 3 x 3 was literally a headache to put together . The instructions were great but trying to screw it together was incredibly difficult as the screws didn't go through second sheets easily. Assembly of doors was tricky and gaps were good until we stood it up and the flimsy construction made doors drop. It's a shame the panels weren't made in there factory so we just need to screw together. Spend a bit more and get sturdier frames. The last thing we did was put the EASY SHED roof end cap on which at least gave us a laugh.
2 blokes, 2 full days. We're exhausted 😏👎🏻”
“Easy NOT. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
Flimsy construction panels & joining struts. Nothing is pre drilled. Panels don't align. Corners are not rolled & therefore can not be drilled together as shown in photos.
3x3 m shed took 5 guys to hold together to put up shed.
Do not waste your money.
This is not a bargain.”
“Easyshed is certainly a misnomer! It should be called quite-complicated-shed or not-quite-right-shed. We managed to assemble the shed in the end, but it was a mammoth process which took about 30 hours in total (2 or 3 people working together, for about 9 x 2-3 hour sessions).
The instructions get you to start on the back panel, probably because, in a way, it is the simplest one, so you learn quite a few lessons there and hopefully don't make the same mistakes again on more complicated panels.
Here are my tips to help others:
- don't bother trying to get the screws to go in without drilling first
- the few places that are pre-drilled are generally too small, so you need to drill them again with a 3.5mm drill bit
- be very patient
- make sure you have a very good drill, electric screwdriver and angle grinder
My issues with this shed are:
- none of the panels or edging are pre-drilled
- there are weird angles that are really hard to drill/screw into
- almost all the edging pieces were the wrong length and we had to cut them
- when putting the roof on, it was basically too short. We had to bend the edges and really use a lot of pressure and force to get it to fit. The roof really needs a re-design and more accurate cutting (although it is also possible that the wall pieces were not quite the right size either, compounding the problem)
- the walls feel very flimsy
- we ordered a window but there was no hole cut for it in any of the wall panels!! In the end we decided not to bother as it would be very difficult to cut a clean hole to the right size.
- did I mention that you REALLY need an angle-grinder to assemble the shed?
The final stage took three people to assemble and was actually not quite as bad as I was lead to believe from some reviews, but as mentioned before it was really difficult to get the roof to actually cover the last 2 centimetres.
If you have time, the right equipment and read the instructions really carefully, this isn't particularly difficult (ie you don't need to be very skilled), just complicated (ie you need to be very good at following the instructions, which aren't always entirely clear).
I don't think I would recommend easyshed or buy it again, but there is not a lot of choice for the exact size we wanted in our price range. Now we are finished I am glad we have it but hope to never have to do it again!”
“Beware, 4 months after reporting an issue with the product, where I feel it may effect the long term life of the product, and Ive given up with their after sales service! Still waiting. Their response was always, waiting on Andy the original installer to come back to them OR its with our team!! I finally gave them a deadline, of which they failed to respond. Realistically how long does it take a person to check their calendar and slot in an inspection!!
Then out of the blue nearly 5 months later, got a system generated text booking date from the installer, to come between Xmas and NY, now thats is really inconvenient. However I agreed, but them it was cancelled and another date made during that period, and the day before that also was cancelled, with no future date booked. Original install was August 2024 and nothing resolved.
Not forgetting to mention I was negotiating size/colour when there was an advertised offer of extra height for free, of which I indicated I would take up, but by the time all the details were finalised, they failed to honour the free deal as the order confirmation was only a couple of days after the offer ended, even though we were deciding size/colour during this period.
I was hesitant to be dealing with a website only and not a person, and now I wish I never went down this process.”
“Terrible - We have waited over a month and still have no shed. They were happy to take our money. Communication is very slow, and their replies to emails are dismissive and unhelpful. I would not recommend this company. I would give a 0 if I could.”
“The most dishonest corrupt company I have ever dealt with.
I placed an order for a shed $4370. I decided to cancel it two hours later because of the reviews. They spent 2 weeks delaying my refund until I threatened Rustin with legal action. They still charged me cancellation fee. Only deal with them if you don't want to see your money again.”
“Worst experience ever and wish that I never purchased this product.
Materials are all cut to incorrect lengths although they are numbered to their corresponding supposed length. See photo of one example of one identical part, two different measurements.
Spoke to Ady in tech support who was absolutely useless and had an attitude. Her troubleshooting was pointless, ineffective and not productive at all. Requested my call be escalated and it was declined. Was told to send a video of the issues, and she would come back to us once it was reviewed. No ETA. Declined request for a copy of file notes from our conversation, which should be made available through the privacy policy when collecting identifying information.
Instruction manual is ridiculous - hard to follow and omits certain steps.
Had assistance from 5 people in total to assemble, two of which are experienced trades persons.
An absolute waste of circa $2k. Flimsy, terrible and inconsistent product and atrocious assembly guidelines.
Never again will I support this business which is a shame as I thought due to it being an Australian manufacturer out of Albury, that it would be a step above the rest.
Quality and manufacturing standards do not appear to be upheld from the factory, proven by the inconsistencies in measurements and damages/scratches to panels upon opening.
Do yourself a favour and do not purchase this product. You will regret your decision. It has been two days, 21 working hours and still this is not in complete stage.
I will be writing to their Australian based management team to seek further remedy and also supporting data from them around their supposed assembly trials with users of different skill levels to support their claimed assembly times. I will also seek clarifying information around the quality checks performed during the manufacturing process and before it was dispatched.”
“Absolute nightmare to put together took us 2 days and my husband is a builder and has renovated a lot of houses/ sheds etc. he knows what he’s doing. The rivets did not even fit in the 2 holes easy shed did decide to drill in!! There is nothing easy about drilling and making your own holes and trying to squeeze provided rivets which are .2mm sizes too big than the actual specified holes to drill.
Real false advertising here easyshed. Do better !!!”
“We ordered two sheds in October priority paid got a email saying it was arriving then was told it was not when they did arrive we put together one of these sheds started on the second took book out the book was for a completely different shed we rang and they said sometimes the wrong book could have been put in by mistake they asked us to send photos of the stickers on the box then they asked to take photos of the panels that was clearly wrong then they asked to take photos of us measuring the panels all this time handling and cutting fingers not there fault they do say wear gloves then we got asked to send a list of what we are missing I said what don’t you understand we have the wrong shed they kept saying it’s quicker to send sheets that are missing 😡🔨. We have had at least 20 calls dealing with 4 different staff members on following days we would ask to speak to who you spoke to previous day ,no sorry not in today I will help and deal with you from now on ,next the first person contacts us and gives instructions so you don’t know if this is old or new .they then asked us to rate one of the staff members 😂we then get a email and asked us how we are going putting shed up 🤬 I have numerous times explained we had arranged for help with the sheds 4 weeks ago I have said the help was arranged and will be impossible to get help again and could they arrange for help to install appparently DIY. One of us has a neurological disorder and the other is over 70 still they could not make our right shed and the wrong shed to be picked up we have kept this shed dry and out of weather a few day before Christmas I still have the old shed and no new shed that was to go over a pool pump now we have had to cover the pump so grandchildren don’t touch this also looks disgusting 🤢 all the conversations are the same sorry,we understand ,💩we will deal with it now we will have to wait for freight to notify us never again we will take this further
one of us has a neurological disorder and the other is over”
“In my opinion, calling your product 'Easyshed' is misleading advertising. Easy would include have panels at least partly built. It can be put together after following instructions but it's tedious, very time consuming & not worth the price.”
“Bought a concrete anchor kit and two bike hooks as accessories for a narrow shed. The anchor kit was way oversized and the bike hooks were totally unsuited to the shed as they had to be mounted on the top of the side walls which have too much slope on them for the hooks to sit squarely.
Asked to return them and Thalia refused point blank. $150 down the gurgler. Miserable customer relations. Beware when buying accessories as they may not be suitable for the shed they come with and Easyshed refuses to accept returns.”
“Shed took a lot of time as not pre drilled as you’d expect and edges were not clean or even, quite sharp. It’s up now but not sure how it will go. Would not recommend nor would buy again. Seems some reviews have been changed after reading. One star.”
“I purchased an Easyshed bird aviary. Easyshed! Hahaha! Nothing easy about Easyshed!! After wasting a day or so, I gave up on it and took it to the tip. Seriously, I dumped it. The instructions were difficult and unclear and the finish of the pieces as they came together were so rough. What would be a great idea Easyshed, is how about putting some of the smaller pieces together for us instead of just throwing every little piece in the box. For example, why can’t the left wall that has the mesh window and the door be assembled in the box. The hinges too could be fitted. There are many components that could have been assembled for the customer. I guess that’s why it was cheap! Now it’s at the rubbish tip. Very unhappy customer :(”
