Ordered a wardrobe, when delivered and unpacked found some parts that had been drilled wrong so was unable to assemble, managed to through to there customer services after about an hour on the phone, they told me to send images of the faulty parts which I did, heard nothing for about a week, had another call asking me for some more images? this I did the same day, no contact from them, it is now 3 weeks since delivery, rang them again only to be told the person dealing with my concern was out of the office and would ring me the next day, nothing, so rang them again by this time I had had enough so asked for a full refund, which they agreed to, to my surprise , I then asked when would they be picking up the faulty unit, they replied we will ring you to arrange a date within the next couple of days again no call but a driver turned up 3 days later to collect said wardrobe. Full refund has been credited to my visa card and even now no contact from there customer services to find out if the item had been collected and refund had gone through. This companies customer services dept are so bad I wonder how they survive.

No complaints. We have just had a Mattressman mattress delivered through a delivery firm called Panther.Good tracking and it arrived earlier than expected. Excellent service and cheerful guys. Our spare room has the same British Bed Company 1200 Cotton Pocket Chenille mattress.With so many people commenting on how comfortable it is, I thought I would try it out because our own old mattress is so hard. The 1200 Chenille is a soft bed, but over time the spare room mattress has settled down and could be classed as medium...... super for my bad back.Hopefully the new one will do the same. Thank you mattressman. This is a genuine comment.

10 year guarantee is a joke! Do not buy online. After only 1 year, they took 2 months to tell me that the manufacturer would not honour it!

Ordered a mattress we were unable to get upstairs. Rang the company, but unable to get through. Sent 2 emails to state I needed to return. No contact from them after 1 week. What a shambles! Now going to complain.

AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY! Quick to take your money and an inability to deliver. Supposedly next day delivery and I am now waiting OVER A WEEK with 3 MISSED DELIVERY PROMISES. No response from several of my emails to customer services, hardly anyone picks up the phone. RIDICULOUS - I'd advise you check the multiple companies that easily math their prices and have a reputation to deliver. I am about a hair's breadth from contacting the OMBUDSMAN service and they hardly seem to care. AS A BRITISH COMPANY YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS TYPE OF UNDERTAKING - OR LACK OF IT!

ordered a silent night premier 2600 pocket sprung mattress, took 21 days to deliver and after 2 months it was buggered , I was told it was natural slumpping , what a load of rubbish

Ordered a window blanket box seat. Informed I would receive it in 22nd October, never arrived, neither did it arrive 23rd. On 24th van arrived, paperwork but no order! Contacted them and neither them or dhl knew where it was. Promised to send another. Hadn’t received on 30th so cancelled and informed my credit card company to stop this payment. It arrived on 1 November but by this time I’d ordered elsewhere. I’ve asked them via email to collect it but after numerous calls, engaged and ringing out all the time, I have still not heard from them. If you are lucky enough to get through to sales, as only option you have of a pick up, they say someone from customer services will contact you but they never do Don’t know what to do now as have this cancelled order and can’t contact anyone. Would not recommend buying anything from them.

If I could give this a zero I would, it doesn’t deserve a 1 rating! Delivery never showed up and no communication that order had been cancelled. 2 months waiting time is outrageous! Stay well clear from this company!!!

Customer service what’s that you can’t get in touch with anyone & when you finally talk to someone . Thy can’t help wait for customer service. What a joke this company is. No reply to emails week later still no reply from customer service. Never never buy from this company

DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASE WITH THIS COMPANY!! They are con merchants with horrendous customer service! Ordered a bed frame a week ago, it arrived with no fixings, to our horror we hadn’t noticed until we had taken our previous bed down. Attempted to contact the company on the weekend and the customer support team were not available yet the sales team would have been happy to make more dodgy sales. Finally got through to customer support and they claimed they would rectify. Customer support then emailed saying that they cannot send fixings for at least a week, but refuse to compensate in any way even though they are aware we are sleeping without a bed. Waiting a call from a manager but I highly doubt they will contact, never I have I ever dealt with a less professional company. Literally get better service from the fragrance people that hide in toilets of dingy nightclubs. Honestly I cannot stress enough, take your money elsewhere. Don’t fall victim to their outrageous customer support and care. Disgusting.

Appalling customer service from start to finish ... resulting in me taking time off work AND paying for a £100 ferry to be at the place of delivery, only for them to tell me the delivery would be a week later than they'd said! They'd had my order 8 days already ... and they'd called me 3 times to arrange a timed delivery slot too! I would NEVER touch these people again and would recommend everyone to avoid them. You are merely a number to them and will be treated like another one of the 'herd'. If your order not 'tick-box easy', you will be dealt with by ill-advised, untrained, non-responsive staff!

If you receive a defective mattress, and want to complain, you shall be ignored and never answered. So don't bother buying from them in the first place and save yourself the hassle.

APPALING customer service, don't waste your time. Don't waste your time ordering from Mattressman, We ordered our bed weeks ago, arrived with a damaged, cracked foot end board so obviously didn't assemble the bed, therefore having to sleep on a mattress on the floor. When we called to complain we were asked to email pictures of the faulty part which we did, then received no reply to the email or a curtesy phone call. My husband then called 3 days later (because they are closed on the weekends, even the customer services!!) and was told that as I had sent the email with the faulty pictures, they could only speak to me and not him. I then phoned and was told they would send out a new foot panel, and we would need to dispose of the old one our selves. A week later and we receive our new panel, the delivery driver gave it to me and left straight away, even though i ask him to stay just incase, as i already have 5 large boxes taking up space in my living room. Low and behold, the new panel was EVEN MORE damaged than the last and literally fell apart in my hand. I called mattressman several hundred times getting no answer, so selected the option to be put through to the operator, who just so happens to be in customer services at that very moment. I tell them about the panel and that we just want a refund and someone needs to come and pick all the items up as we are no longer interested in their product. I get put on hold for what seems like a year only to be told that the person they need to speak to from the supplier 'Isn't in today' We are asked to pack up the items in their original packaging, which against my better judgement we do, and that someone from the supplier will be in contact first thing Monday morning to arrange pick up and until the items are back with the supplier, they can't issue a full refund. After several phone calls and lots of 'I will look into this for you', my husband had to send a strongly worded email, just to get a reply. They finally booked a date with the "supplier" to come and pick up our faulty goods, which my husband had to take a day off work for, and of course, nobody shows up. After a few more phone calls to people that haven't got a clue what they are doing, we are given today as the date for another pick up, which I then have to take a day of work for. My husband is then forced to call again to see what time the collection will be here, being told they will be with me by 3pm. 5:30 comes and still no sign, so I called the DX customer services again to find out, being told, "our collections go up until 6pm, someone will be with you by them". My husband had also phoned at this time and got told that one delivery driver thought the other delivery driver was picking up and both had returned to the depot. We are now out of pocket by 2 days wages, have 6 big boxes of faulty products in our living room and still haven't been given our money back, an offer of compensation or even an apology. We have been bounced from person to person and can quite honestly say that we have never been treated so badly by a company, ever. Long story short, if you want crumby items, to make endless phone calls only to be put on hold for eternity, for no one to EVER call YOU back and to have to wait for your own money back (which we obviously still haven't got because no one has phoned us back yet) then Mattressman are the company for you, otherwise, don't waste your time with dreadful products and even worse customer service.

I didnt think it was possible to find customer service worse than TUI. Congratulations Matressman you have totally surpassed expectations. Firstly I purchased a wardrobe online delivery 2-3 weeks because it was ready assembled. Fine - I dont mind that, I definately didnt want to build it myself. Arrived home from work 2 days later to find a flatpacked wardrobe left outside my front door. Confused, I contacted mattressman who told me it was a mistake on their webisite and it was indeed flatpack but they hoped I enjoyed my wardrobe! I asked if it could be returned - it could but I would have to pay the courier charge as I should have refused delivery....! Hmmmm bit hard to refused what should have been a signed for delivery when its left outside your front door. So I decided to build the wardrobe. It is actually pretty sturdy, its just a shame about the 1cm gap between the doors and the missing handles. I tried to call their CS team however its either engaged or just rings out and emails must be going to an unmonitored box as replies never came. I finally took to social media to try and get a response which worked and the handles were sent out to me. The rest of my issues simply ignored. Word of advice, good customer service costs nothing and can be the difference between someone have a bad experience and still giving you a good review and possibly even returning. Really really poor.

Would never use this company again! Ordered bed frame - head board damaged-informed them straight away, sent photographic evidence, requested a replacement head board - simple request, simple job. That was over a week ago! I have had no response to emails, no one has ever returned my calls, I have had to do all the chasing -daily, yesterday eventually get told that there’s nothing they can do until they get response from supplier - a whole week and nothing from anyone! With no bed in the mean time! So request a refund and they collect the bed - told I can’t have a refund unless agreed with suppliers and will still take same time for them to ‘make a decision’ - what is there to decide...!? Item is defective, I am entitled to exchange or refund, but no, a week later and still waiting for a single response - total disgrace so now having to seek refund through PayPal! And I am still being told I just have to wait a response from the supplier!!! Total disgrace!! All I want is a replacement headboard - not difficult! Very very poor after sales!

Very poor online service, stated that bed would be back in stock within 7 days, they took payment and 3 weeks later after several very slow email replies still not in stock. Cancelled order in the end and ordered same bed from Argos and had it delivered next day with no problems. Please be aware that stock due date stated on website is nonsense.

Never will I recommend this firm to anyone!!! Ordered a mattress, would take a week to be delivered. In the mean time, received an email stating ... they are unsure if they’ll get anymore of this make of mattress in. The following day received a phone call stating .... it was in, must be a misunderstanding and it was definitely in and be out for delivery in the next few days. This miscommunication between their staff and head office is absolutely disgusting. Even give a delivery date and time!! You’ve guessed, received another phone call.. that it wasn’t in stock!!! I’m surprised this company is still trading.

Purchased one of Mattressman's own-brand mattresses, the "Duke" model in a custom size - had to return it as almost immediately went out of shape. Paid extra for a Hypnos mattress instead - it was too big. Co replaced it but, after a few weeks, began to shrink (sounds impossible, but it happened!). After having an expert from Hypnos review the mattress they agreed to supply another. This turned out to be a standard size one, so several inches too short and too narrow. Am now thoroughly fed up. Avoid these people!
