“Received emails to say delivery was on it's way and then a final email to say it had been delivered. Arrived home, no sign of delivery or delivery note. Took the matter up with customer services the following day only to be told my delivery had been left in the bin. They sent me a picture of my front door with the bin by the side. No sign of my package in the picture. Very poor service.”
“Gave one star would not have any if that was an option. Firstly when my consignment arrived (a day bed) the driver did not deliver the side panels and headboard. Unable to contact the courier on the number supplied so went back to my seller who did manage to contact them and they said they would deliver the missing package between 4-6pm the following day. Didn't arrive. Then I received a message from a total stranger who had traced me on messenger and he said he had got my parcel they had delivered to the wrong addressspent all the following day trying to get my parcel collected from him and redelivered to me. They don't return calls they don't respond to voice messages. I finally got hold of the operation manager who said he would sort it out when he finished work at 5.30. I told him that wasn't acceptable I wanted it sorted immediately so he said he would sort it within the hour and get back to me 4 hours later and another call to him. Hey presto he wasn't available but they would leave a message for him to call me Still waiting. Finally my husband got the address where my parcel was and had to go and pick it up himself at 6.30 pm. A whole day wasted. Tin pot organisation with no organisation, customer service skills or any moral obligation to serve the customer. As far as I am aware the guy who signed for my parcel still hasn't received his parcel. That appears to have gone missing also. Will never buy from a company who use this courier ever again.”

“We had a two box delivery of a cabin bed. One parcel arrived on time the other two days later, no explanation was ever given.
One of the boxes was clearly labelled "2 man delivery only" as it was so heavy. One man delivered it and I felt very sorry for him as he struggled and I am not in a position to help.
When the 2nd box arrived the driver carried it up my driveway without checking if anyone was home, it was a heavy box and a very hot day. The box had clearly been dropped as it was held together with masking tape and the contents rattled (hence why he carried it up the driveway so I wouldn't hear the rattling) and the parts were damaged so we couldn't make the bed up. Xdp refused to admit they had damaged the box. We claimed our money back through our credit card company.
We purchased the same bed from a different bed company and Xdp delivered it, again only a single man came even though the bed company were under the impression it would be a two man delivery. This time only one box was slightly damaged & contents were ok.
This company is clearly lying to the clients that hire them to do large deliveries and putting profit before the health of their staff. If something goes wrong they will deny any responsibility. Avoid!”

“Like many other reviewers I am amazed that this company are still in business. I was expecting a delivery Monday 11th September (collected from shipper Friday 8th on an overnight service) It didn't turn up and I couldn't reach XPD so sent an email. Got a very curt response next day saying it was out for delivery (Tuesday) Again it didn't turn up, and the tracking showed it had been carded and an email sent - both lies. Once again it was rescheduled for next day (Wednesday) and once again it failed to show. No contact, no apology, no reasons given. I had left 3 messages on the waste of time answer service and not received a single call back. I finally managed to speak to someone at customer service on Thursday morning but she wasn't much interested and said she'd send an email to the depot manager - got the impression she was just telling me what I wanted to hear. My package finally showed up on Thursday, 6 days after collection but reading some other reviews I was lucky to get it so quickly! I'd avoid these jokers at all costs and would never buy anything from a company that used them again. The driver who made the delivery was very professional and pleasant and apologised for the delay even though it wasn't actually his fault - he'd come from Southend to help my local depot in Bristol which might illustrate just how incompetent they actually are. No response to emails or calls and I'd be amazed if they're still in business this time next year”

“Wish I could have left 0 stars. Attempted delivery THREE times, failed to leave parcels at the onsite post room and ended up delivering them almost a week later at an entirely different address nearby that happened to have the same door number. Was then left to collect 30kg of packages from other address by myself. These guys have NO IDEA what they are doing.”

“Rubbish courier company - unable to leave an alternative contact number for delivery as being delivered to a block of flats rather than a house. A message left on their answerphone was unanswered. When the delivery was made, a corner of the brand new mattress was soiled and a complaint had to be made to the retailer. Also, a bulky item (not extremely heavy) and I was told that they didn't do stairs so I had to carry it up a flight of stairs myself. Not happy with my experience of this company - do not recommend at all!”
“Absolute joke of a company emailed twice yesterday rang countless times still nothing! supposed to have a delivery yesterday nothing no update on the tracker or anything a micky mouse company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!”
“Our driver had an extremely poor attitude and was quite aggressive, even attempting to force his way back into my property after a disagreement about how he had damaged one of the parcels when he slammed it down onto the floor in my house. He damaged my front door in an aggressive rage to get a signature and when I told him I wanted to check the parcel for damage before signing he stormed off without a signature. He verbally abused me and was threatening in his behaviour.
I made a complaint to XDP about the experience and received no response.
Since then I have waited for two further deliveries and collection of the damaged parcel, only to see him turn up to my property, sit in his van then drive off again.
After speaking to XDP's customer service team it appears that I have been placed on their blacklist and been told that no deliveries will be made from the XDP to my address again. I have asked to find a resolution to this situation but so far only been told that I should receive a callback at some point.”
“This is the first time I've ever had a delivery from XDP and the reviews left me more than a little worried, but I needn't have been. Local depot is about 12 miles from me and they turned up bang in the middle of their allotted two hour delivery window and even though the original shipper had grossly underestimated the items weight (from a safe 1-man lifting POV) the driver was more than happy to carry the item in and was polite & helpful thru it all. Reviews on any courier service are so much about driver/staff and perhaps I'm lucky that all the services in my area (now including XDP) are excellent.”
