“Oh dear! Having a day off for a parcel that didn't turn up seems the norm with this company. As I write the tracking info says its back out for delivery, and apparently they have emailed me! Really? I can't find any email from them. Like other customer reviews say there is poor communications - guess what - delivery just turned up!!! Not between 2.30 and 5.30 as shown on the tracking info but at 10.50. Are they working on GMT/BST or in another time zone, maybe that is why things are going wrong. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!”
“This delivery company is the worst delivery company I have ever dealt with, with moving house I have ordered many things for delivery from various companies which have all been fine. This company delivered me the wrong product, I phone the guy two seconds after he leaves to pick it up as its wrong, he says he will check with the depot that it's okay to pick up and ring me back, he doesn't ring back, notwithstanding the fact that the delivery was timed at 6.45 pm at the latest and he turns up at 9.30pm! They don't communicate with you, call you out of common courtesy. The correct parcel was due for delivery on a Friday, nothing turns up and then suddenly on a Sunday afternoon they turn up with it, not email, phone call. Then I book another day off work for them to pick up the wrong parcel they delivered, it's now 8.00pm, no contact and I'm still waiting if someone will turn up.

“Broken promise after broken promise. Finally offered a Saturday deliver as compensation for failing to load the package onto their local delivery round. Quoted 'Route 50' which it stated would guarantee that it would come today (Saturday. Told that drivers on Saturday deliveries are normally back from their rounds by 2.30 pm so I would be certain to have it by then. No sign of any driver today.

“Still having problems with XDP/World Stores after almost four weeks of waiting for an item to be collected for return.Numerous calls to World Stores who eventually advised me they would have a different courier company collect my package.Gave me a day and date for DX Couriers to collect item.Time not known.All day collection period.Waited as requested .No one attended.Contacted local DX Depot ,who were excellent.Reply 'No knowledge of request'.XDP then sent an e.mail providing three hour collection period.Waited.Did not attend.Contacted World Stores AGAIN who said someone !!!!! from company had cancelled DX and replaced courier with XDP.Staff contacted XDP and was informed driver had called.No one at home.It was a beautiful day yesterday and I sat outside of my home all day.'The invisible XDP driver????'World Stores state they will have DX collect parcel Friday.Another wasted day!!!!!!”

“My bed should have arrived Tuesday. The slats were delivered and the driver told me that's all he had. After calling the Depo 4 times the lady checked out the back and said it was there. She told me it would be sent out 100% tomorrow (Thursday). Nothing was delivered on Thursday and when I called Friday morning they said it was still at the depo not even on a van. They said it would be delivered between 12-3. Still no delivery. Do not use them. It would be quicker to plant a tree in the garden, wait for it to grow, chop it down and make the bed yourself. I've been sleeping like a Shaolin monk the past week because of them. HORRENDOUS SERVICE.”
“Been waiting a month, 3rd time this parcel has been sent twice it was lost! Why the company I bought with continued to use same carrier I cant quite get my head round. Finally get an ETA and item out for delivery! Then it does not show. Cant contact anyone from XDP what a useless bunch of crap. No update on delivery today either, I suppose this one will be lost too. 5th of May I placed my bloody order... 4th of June today. Absolutely rubbish!”
“Ive just had a txt msg confirming estimated time of delivery for today & its from 11.55 - 2.55 they also left a tel no. For me to ring if this wasn't convenient so I tried to call it & the line went dead only then did I realise there's 12 digits so I dropped a digit at the end & tried again still line went dead. So I then went onto xpd website and tried thier tel no. On there it just wrang out! this is totally unprofessional.”
“Worst service ever! I had bought a bed from world stores, when they delivered it they were two hours late and brought me the wrong items (a double bed with a single mattress). Had arranged for them to pick up the items, however it has been three days since my scheduled 'pick up date' and I have yet to see them! I have called and emailed and have not been able to get in touch with anyone! I think this company and Worldstores are a scam! Will deliver you incorrect items, but will not pick them up so you can not receive a refund. Absolutely inexcusable and appalling”
“This has to be the worst delivery company in the world!!! No response to emails, no one ever answers the phone. The tracking system either doesn't get updated or my goods have just sat at their depot for over a week!!!! Not sure if my parcel will ever turn up. Angry doesn't even begin to cover it. I will never order anything again from anyone that uses this company to deliver their goods.”

“Further to my review earlier today.Hope no one held their breath.Surprise,surprise.Arranged for someone to be available at my home during time slot.XDP did NOT attend AGAIN.Where do we go from here?No one to talk to at Company.World Stores will not provide refund until item is returned by courier.Disgraceful state of affairs all round.Best that members of the public take this as further examples of incompetence by both companies with no respect or consideration for customers.”
“Worst delivery company in the UK. I have been waiting 2 days for collection of my damaged chest of drawers and both days the track said carded. I have stayed in both days, tried to contact them but can't get hold of anybody. Worldstores haven't been very helpful either. DO NOT BUY FROM WORLDSTORES AND ASK COMPANIES WHO THEY USE FOR DELIVERY!”
“Absolutely dreadful. Specifically paid for a delivery date and item has been sat at their collection point all day. Emailed to enquire about the item and was told it will not be delivered until tomorrow. Really disappointed due to requesting leave from work and have now wasted a day where my valuable annual leave could have been spent with my family instead. Awful communication from the company. “Dreadful service,dreadful communication system.One word would describe the situation.Useless.Package due to be collected for return to supplier(World Stores).Three identical e.mails received from XDP reminding me that collection would take place with the usual three hour time slot and for someone to be available on Wednesday 27th May.Time slot would be advised during morning of delivery by e.mail.Wrong.Didn't happen.Tried constantly to speak to someone at XDP.Found myself in an automated telephone system which repeated the same selection of options and answers required FOUR times and still did not get the opportunity to speak to someone.No further forward.Spoke to supplier at World Stores.Staff very apologetic and confirmed they would find out what was happening and telephone me with result.Didn't happen.Tried again by e.mail this time to get a response from XDP.Didn't happen.Again spoke to supplier who advised me XDP would collect item the following day Thursday.Suggested I had an urgent medical appointment and would require a morning collection.Supplier would attempt to arrange.Guess what? XDP have now advised me a collection would be made between 3.46pm and 6.46pm.Need I say more.Watch this space but don't hold your breath.”
“World stores use this courier co. I eventually cancelled the order and got a refund, the service was so bad. Difficult to get hold of anyone and there seems to be a total disconnect between world stores who give the customer a delivery date and the courier who thinks he can deliver it when it suits him (I was told he would come late on a Sunday night when roads quiet!)... My advice would be to avoid this courier and any company that uses them”
