Car park and entry was fine. One disapointment was when we tried to leave. We had pre-booked but when I put in my ticket at the exit barrier it said I needed to pay, and I was then blocking the other cars behind me. The staff at the kiosk were quick to validate my parking (I had e-mail confirmation with me, and my name was on a list) but this was inconvenient for me, as well as those behind me.

The "priority" queue was longer than the regular queue.! Stupid and petty implementation of the rules regarding toiletry containers - accepted in ALL other UK and international airports (I know because I travel through these with my toiletry container on a regular basis). Aberdeen airport is a hic provincial airport and will remain so while petty attitudes prevail.

No problem with booking online and arrival was OK but finding a space was difficult, knowing where to look as it was quite full. There is no guidance as to which lane to try in the dark with limited time before flight. On return: Long delay in getting a bus back. At least a 15-20 minute wait. On departure, entered pre paid ticket then presented with £40.00 to pay on the display. Pressed help button......no reply..... Parked up and went to gate house.....Closed. Went back to barrier and called again. eventually a reply explained situation and eventually the barrier opened. No apology, no explanation just a long delay and embarrassment holding up fellow travellers.

Despite pre-paying, I had to pay £69 to leave the car park! I am awaiting a re-fund.

This was my first use of the facility, as have previously either used the short term facility or Airparks. Initially on entering the park, is was quite difficult to locate available spaces, which I subsequently found on my walk to the bus. Which departed just as I arrived at the stop. On return I had already been delayed 5 hours due to not arriving in time for my flight !!, There was no bus at the terminal, and I used the phone as required, however no answer. A further user arrived and she did get through, but was asked where she was !!!At 9.30 pm I then went to my car and when trying to leave the park, I was advised that I was due to pay £ 11.00!!!. I had prebooked for 2 days in advance, and arrived at the park about 8am on the 12/11 and as far as I was concerned it was still only 13/11 !! I eventually got to speak with a member of staff and after a few minutes of calling and recalling the help button I did get out with no extra payment. I will think twice about using this service David Nightingale

Booking the parking was easy, getting to the parking was easy, the carpark appeared to be secure enough, the buses to and from the carpark from the airport run regularly enough that a wait is not painful. However, leaving the carpark at the end of my stay was a nightmare. I put my ticket into the barrier at the exit and it prompted me for payment, when I had already pre-booked and paid for my parking. So I reversed, and found a parking spot near the help room, which contained a telephone with a high level of noise interference. I called the helpline and after spending a few minutes on the phone, giving my name and my booking details, was informed that they could not find my booking on the system, which I thought was strange for a fully automated system. The polite man on the other end of the phone said he would send someone round to check my booking information in person. After a wait of about 20 minutes during which time, no one showed up to check my booking, the phone rang and I was informed that my booking had been found and that I should drive to the barrier and they would manually raise the barrier for me. This all started at roughly 2230 hrs after a long day with a 1hr drive home ahead of me. This glitch of an automated system ruined my experience of Aberdeen Long Stay parking, though the polite staff handled the situation relatively well. I trust system reliability will be improved and my next stay will be more straight-forward.

I booked online and received an email with a code number (D1212) which I thought I would have to enter into some machine at some point. However this didn't happen. When I arrived at the Short Stay car park the machine at the barrier issued me with a ticket, which I held onto until we had returned from our holiday. However I found that I didn't know what I was supposed to do when I returned to the car. The Pay machines didn't seem relevant as they didn't have any kind of keyboard to enter the D1212 code. What I had to do was go to the Customer Service kiosk in the car park to ask for instructions, and I was told that I just need to to enter the ticket into the machine, and then enter it again when I was exiting the car park. I feel it would have made more sense to advise me exactly what I would have to do in the email, but the email was not helpful at all, in fact I'd go so far as to say it was totally misleading. This was the only time that I have ever used the Short Stay car park at the airport, and I was left feeling confused from arriving until leaving which doesn't seem right. Furthermore there was no contact details within the email. Overall I would say that some effort should be made to communicate with customers in a way which leaves them knowing exactly what they should expect from arriving to departure from the car park.

After waiting half an hour in que thats was up past the toilets on right as you walk down to security desk, seen poster for priority, paid for priority and ended up standing 25mins in that que got through, security que's and speed was worst i have seen in any airport! More money should be spent on that instead of spending money upgrading the outside look of building!

Price and online booking were good but when I arrived at the airport I was told they couldn't find my booking and that I must have entered the reg number wrongly. I then tried to give them the booking ref number to be told that that was of no use to them. They let me in to the car park and said I would have to sort it out when I got back. So that was a great thing to be worrying about while I was on holiday.

I pre purchased the stay, however the vehicle number plate recognition system did not work on arrival, hence I was instructed to take a ticket. On return to pick up my car, it took some time to eventually sort things out so that I could exit without having to pay £99 . I was not impressed, especially after having travelled most of the day to return home and having to deal with this unexpected issue.
