Got home insurance that ended up being with Ageas, covered accidental damaged. I fell on top of my tablet PC bending it, it later combusted from a damaged battery. They're trying to change the events so they don't have to pay me.

Very poor in dealing with my claim ie lack of knowledge, pushed from pillar to post to different departments, where the left hand did not know what the right was doing, waste of shareholders' money, not able to put in writing what they said on phone, took 8 days to say claim was not insured, meanwhile my storm damage undone, waiting for the insurance to sort out. Usual delay and lack of customers' complaints, until CEO contacted. However, been told it will be upto8-10 weeks before CEO will be notified of the result of enquiry. I thought we are in Digital age not Carrier Pigeon/Smoke Signals days.

Worst and Very Unprofessional Car Insurance (Zero Star) I had an accident on 1st of March 2022 and it was not my fault. It has been 17 days since the accident has happened my claim is still pending and has not been through to their engineer to approve the repair work. In Policy, I was told that a courtesy car will be provided in but when I asked it for, I was told by the Ageas Car Insurance that courtesy car only be provided If I will take my car to Ageas approved body workshop!!!! I have checked their approved body repairers, unfortunately, their approved body workshops (Most of the time) use parts from the aftermarket. I am calling Ageas almost every day to check if their engineer has authorised the repairs but every time call handlers telling me a different story!! no one exactly knows what is going on!!! Yesterday, Suddenly Ageas woke and trying to find a fault in the information provided at the time of adding it to the policy and accident only to ESCAPE from this repair and claim! Questions they are asking me are as under; 1) What did I eat on the day of this accident? 2) If my previous car was having any troubles and why did I sell that one? 3) Why did I change my previous car with this new one? 4) How many £20s and £10s notes I have given to the seller (Audi)? Absolutely bonkers !!! I would not recommend this car insurance company not even to my enemies!!!

Do yourself a favour and steer well clear of anything to do with Ageas. I have a claim with them which they authorised last November (2021). It is now 18th March and my kitchen and dining room are still building sites, and all Ageas say is that they passed it on to their contractor (Claims Consortium) to progress the work. Claims Consortium then gave the job to their preferred supplier (Price Brothers) to do. Price Brothers came and stripped out the kitchen and dining room floors in November, so far so good. Then the work stopped and no workers for over 6 weeks as we live in this building site. Price Brothers want to do the work but are awaiting confirmation for the go ahead as Claims Consortium have query on cost. A total impasse so on February 8th Ageas appoint a loss adjuster from “AED” who be promises to solve the issue. It’s 18th March and this is still going on, despite my written, e-mail and phone call attempts to get this moving. It takes Ageas 30 minutes on average to answer their phone, Claims Consortium is even longer, AED return calls but have nothing positive to report, even though they are the adjuster. Ageas tell me they have logged my complaint (that’s over 5 weeks ago now) but they show no sign of wanting to help, they pass me back to the Loss Adjuster. My wife and I have a temporary kitchen on our drive, it is freezing, it’s like a wet room some days, our lives are a mess in our home. The Ombudsman can’t help until we get a “final” solution from Ageas, so we are snookered on all fronts. Ageas show no signs of expediency and certainly do not care about our welfare or their duty of care. They blame Covid (yes still doing that) and storm Eunice (19th Feb …..3 months after our claim started) for their abysmal response times. I seriously you think twice before using Ageas.

Ageas is not honoring quotes from Confused.com. I believe consumer's deceiving practices are in place.

AVOID this company at all costs. Took my home insurance out with Thistle and never had any problems until Ageas insurance took over. Haven’t claimed on my policy the whole time, make a claim for paint that got spilt on carpet, they send a fraud investigator round who was in my property for 2hrs. Asking me questions like do I have an alarm, safe, cameras, if I’m going on holiday this year and when. Can’t really see how this is relevant to a carpet claim, then he basically accuses me of insurance fraud. They are the only FRAUDSTERS I’m afraid, they get out of paying any claim so no point having insurance with them. They don’t even answer the phone when you call them, after hour and half waiting and still no luck I gave up!

Storm Eunice had just blown ridge tiles from my roof, smashing other tiles on their way down. Rain water seeping in. House is only 18 months old. Phoned Ageas. Utterly pointless. Even said they had nothing to do with insurance ?!?! Made no effort to help me but went to great lengths to wriggle out of a claim. Insisted that the excess would be £300 even though the policy says excess is £75. Then said that Storm Eunice was not a storm – it was only a ‘strong gale’ and as such I could not claim! It is difficult to handle this level of stupidity I have raised a complaint but to receive such a pitiful level of service at a time of very considerable stress is unforgivable. These cowboy tactics only serve to deter people from buying insurance. Peter

Able to easily vary my options and see price changes in real time . I realise that this offer was special to confused.com customers but as I search the market each year , that's ok.

AVOID this company. Insured Sunday. 2 days later £405 added because of missed accident events . The events were not missed on application but altered by AGEAS . they ordered me to prove the previous accident was not my fault by contacting the insurer i had 5 years ago. This is now impossible for me to find. 19:00 and i now have no insurance, I could have been anywhere . AVOID for your own protection .

Terrible customer service, never reply to emails, keep you hanging on the phone for ages. When they do answer they simply pass a message on, say they will get back to you and never do. I’ve been trying to get my house claim sorted since April, it’s now December and we are no further forward. I’ve spent hours trying to speak to someone. Utter rubbish - they just want you to give up and go away. Avoid.

My housing association recommended Thistle to us when we moved into our property last May. Thistle Insurance use Ageas, so most of my correspondence was with Ageas and Ageas management as my case was so out of the ordinary. We paid our premiums every month, went through a financial rough patch and considered cancelling the policy, what was the chance anything would happen? We did keep the policy, because it was not worth not having it, just in case. The worst happened. My life was turned upside down. We were the victims of an arson attack. Someone had deliberately attacked my family and blew up our outhouse next to the house. It had damaged the house itself and my car and cars across the street the explosion was so intense. In the midst of the chaos, the confusion and fear for my life and fear for my two year old in the back of my mind I was so grateful I had insurance. I had lost so much, thousands of pounds of stuff destroyed, burnt, disintegrated, covered in glass, impaled with fence posts. I contacted Thistle and Ageas who were all very concerned for us, we were living in a homeless hostel for over two weeks, then a homeless flat until we could be relocated. My last correspondence was them saying they were not going to pay a penny. Not one thing. I had paid over £250 of insurance premiums to cover us in case of something horrendous happening. Something horrendous did happen, and Thistle and Ageas won't pay out. The outhouse and subsequent damage was covered for theft and damage due to theft. Not a malicious attack. So, anyone thinking about taking out insurance whith Thistle or Ageas, don't. In your darkest hours they will not help you, they will push you further into the darkness, further into despair as bills rack up and laugh and say, sorry, it's not our problem. I have NEVER felt so let down by a company.

I would give a minus star ⭐️ if that functionality existed! Beware of these thieves dressed up as an insurance company. They will charge you for everything from phone call, admin charge and early termination charge just for calling them to cancel your insurance. Insurance Regulatory body needs to do more to weed out scums like Ageas.
