“After several phone call to tech support and customer service, we finally found out that our gate opener needed batteries (We were told it did not several times). Upon receiving the batteries, so far it works (just received the batteries today.”

“The company claims free delivery, but if ordering from Canada, the price is jacked up from 149.00 US (= 198.00 CDN) to over 300.00 and then claims free shipping. It is not free shipping at all as they jack the price up over 100.00 above the exchange rate and then claim shipping is free. I chose not to send money to the company as this is very deceptive.”

Hello Bill, Thank you for your review. In the US website, there is free shipping within the US. We also have a Canadian website which is alekoproducts.ca. If you are shipping to Canada through our Canadian website it will be free shipping. Although, if you live in an area where our carriers are not aware in Canada, there is a shipping cost. “Aleko in Kent was Great!! We purchased an awesome chicken coop for half the price. We drove up from Tacoma and it was definitely worth the drive. Customer service was awesome. We called with questions over the phone and Elena greet us as soon as we walked in the door and provided us with great service. Thank you!”

“My sister bought a gate from Home Depot and it was delivered with a defective post. After contacting both Home Depot and Aleko products several times including sleepy sounding salesmen and sending photographs we finally got some answers. Jessica K was the only one who did not give us the run around. She worked on the problem and got the problem solved. She deserves a raise at minimum or better yet replace one of your " supervisors " with Jessica K who seems to be the one accomplishing her goals.”

“What ever you do - keep searching for another company to buy what you need. I purchased a gate from this company and dual swing operator - after keeping the shipped gate in the shipping box for a year, we finally unpacked and installed the gate. The hardware for the mechanical installation / attachment of the actuators was either misplaced by my staff or was never shipped for the past 3 days we've been trying to purchase these parts from ALEKO. I've tried to speak to a salesperson several times, expecting to end-up buying these accessories, but I couldn't get one out of 4 salespersons to understand what parts i'm after; each time I was told that someone will call me back, but no one ever did. Finally I got a person from their so-called technical support team who easily understood what I needed, he placed me on hold promising in a minute a salesperson will write up an invoice and process my order; he never came back on the line and instead I got a girl that told me she's waiting for her warehouse to give her the price of the accessories and she will call me back to complete the order; she never called back. None of the people that answered the phone had any knowledge of the products they sell, much less any care whether the costumer is actually being served. When I asked several times to speak to a manager, I was told he/she are busy and unavailable. Aleko is a terrible company with the worse costumer service and if I were you I wouldn't purchase again anything from them.”

“Aleko's motorized exterior awning comes with an electric motor that is not designed for exterior use and includes warnings in the box that the motor should not be exposed to moisture or humidity. This is in direct contradiction to Aleko's marketing of this product for exterior use in the rain. I contact Aleko on 3/17 while installing this, as of 3/21 they have not responded. Also, the instructions are horrible - there are zero instructions for how to install the electric motor and some of the instructions for assembling the awning frame are incorrect. Stay away from this product and stay away from Aleko - they misrepresent their products and don't respond in a timely manner to problems.”

“What a mess....the gate opener we order has never worked. We call customer services and had to send pictures showing there was no power and had to wait for a response. When they responded they told us to send back the entire box and they would ship a new one. About a week later we received a circuit board, not the entire box. We called back and advised this and we were told the box would be sent and we had to wait another week to receive it. Again, it was not all there. It was missing the plug. We called back and were told it would be sent. A week later, we received a transformer, not a plug. AGAIN we called back and were told a plug could not be send without sending the whole unit back. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told it would be shipped. Almost another week passed. When we received it, it gate opener still would not work. We called and were told to send pictures of how it was hooked up. The next day we had to send a detail description of what the gate opener was doing (IT WON'T DO ANYTHING). The day after that we were told that had to speak with their warranty company to see if it is still under warranty. As of today.....still not solved. I would not recommend buying from this company....tech support does not know anything about the products and I have never had such a hassle dealing with a company.”
