the best coach holiday company in the uk. Your enjoyment starts straight away with your driver. To be fair not just a driver but everything you need in one

Had a lovely holiday in Bournmouth, driver Alan was great. The feeder driver was dreadful he didnt know any of the pick-up places, had to rely on passengers. This spoilt our holiday. It put an extra 2 hours on our joiurney, really awful.

We went on a cabaret weekend to the Queens Hotel, Eastbourne last Friday. We picked up the alfa coach in southend. Last pick up was Croydon. 7 hours later we arrived at the hotel. The driver did not know where he was going, relying on his sat nav to guide him to the various pick ups. The hotel was OK. We nt on the same break last year. & all went smoothly, this time was a complete nightmare, everyone was comaining. The journey home was also extremely bad taking 7hours once again. The driver stated that alfa should never have plotted Croydon into the pick ups. We will never use this company again & nor will most of the passengers on board. If they would have ommited Croydon this problem would never had happened. Great shame cause we have used alfa many times over the past few years, but never again. All this does not make good business sense, & someone in the head office should have made some obvious planning to make it a realistic journey.

Hotel Regina Torquay, excellent food and served by very pleasant young staff Manageress is of the old school and nothing is to much trouble, the housekeeping was of a high standard, in a very convenient location. Ideal for the older clientele

I travelled to the Hotel de Paris in Cromer with Alpha. Our feeder driver was fine but it took over 5 hours to get from Sussex to Reading. On arrival at the hotel we were told to go straight to dining room which was somewhat chaotic. Rooms were basic, staff poor and other coach drivers miserable. When we left we were told to put our suitcases outside our rooms on morning of departure by 7am. Boarded coach and after 12 hours finally got to my return stop. Then found out that my suitcase was not on board. Complained to hotel and they came back to say they couldn't find it. After several more complaints received a letter from HQ saying sorry it was missing. They admitted no duty of care or other advice. Lost new glasses, shaver, watch, along with clothes and shoes. My first and last time with this dreadful company. My only conclusion was that it was stolen by one of the staff as virtually all of the guests were elderly.

Bit phased at start of our trip to Newquay, feeder driver got lost several times, obviously never been to north Lincolnshire before and did not listen to the locals who knew the area.when we switched to our main coach the experience could not have been more different,Darren our driver on coach 2 kept us informed about everything that was happening.can highly recommend Darren,he looked after very well through out our holiday. The elliott hotel in Newquay was excellent staff very polite and helpful. Ann who looked after us in the restaurant was brilliant.Very amusing lady, polite and helpful. Meals and the rooms were excellent.

We are 68 and 70 and took an Alfa 'Turkey/Tinsel' to The Selborne Hotel, Dunoon 11-15th Nov 2019. David is a skilled driver and gave us lots of helpful, informative information during the 5 days. Excellent, interesting journey via Gretna, Glasgow Orbital, Port of Glasgow, then a 20 minute car/coach ferry from Gournock to Dunoon. Day trip to Glasgow v.good and the scenery as we travelled to Inverarary is lovely [though we did have good weather !] The Selborne, an older-style hotel, is beautifully position next to the sea-like River Clyde. Amazing views. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite. Our room, one of the few without a superb view, was dated but warm and clean, with super-comfy twin beds and hot water. The food was all very adequate for the off-season, budget price we paid. Excellent value for money and a really enjoyable holiday. Coach that picked us up was late, and we had a longer delay at interchange on return journey, due to the Isle of Wight coach hold-up. So a long day for everyone. That is the only reason we give 4 not 5 stars. Thank you all Alfa staff.

Recently returned from imperial hotel ilfracombe. Upon arrival Alex the hotel managed came out and greeted us. Same on our return journery home.Hotel staff were all friendly & polite. Nothing was too much trouble. (Even asking for more toast & butter) Rooms were bit dated. Plenty of room comfortable bed & plenty of hot water. Shower was very powerful.(Although I didn't have tv remote in my room) it wasn't an issue. Maybe to other guests. Trevor the driver was very friendly polite & good sense of humour. He is credit to the company.

We waited nearly 2 hours at victoria for our feeder mini bus.we were then squashed as he had to collect another 5 people ... at reading we had 5 mins to have a pee and get food .... (we had left home at 7.45). when we arrived at bognor our friend was given a room that had damp beds .. the manager gave the impression like it or lump it... After threats he found a different room. First time with Alfa After all that we had a very good holiday.. wonderful staff food entertainment.

We have just returned from The Metrepole Torquay. We had expected an Alpha coach but travelled in Stanley coach a new coach but with very little leg room and since returning I have had to have tests for suspected d.v.t.The hotel is very run down.We paid for an upgrade but found electric sockets hanging off the wall. The shower also not fixed to wall securely and very temperamental. We had entertainment on only two of four nights. The food was fine and staff very helpful and apologetic.

Highland & Islands I thought this tour would offer the chance to take in the stunning views and wildlife of Scotland take photo's marvel at the sights enjoy the scenery first hand. However all we did was see the sights from the coach window as we passed all the splendure no stopping for photo's no stopping to admire the wildlife all passed by as we sped past on the coach . The only time we did stop was to go round round some gift shops. This is not my idea of a tour and I am very disappointed and feel I wasted my money. I would love to say I enjoyed my trip but unfortunately I did not all the photo opportunities were missed. So if you would like to see Scotland in a flash then this is the tour for you.

Just returned from third holiday with Alfa this year. The first was to Brighton staying at the Royal Albion hotel. I was dismayed to find the hotel was a Britannia group hotel which was not mentioned in the brochure. Having stayed in one of theirs in Folkestone I swore never to do so again. The Albion was even worse. Our room had filthy curtains that were hanging off the rails. Window would only open about an inch and this had to be propped open by a cushion. The food was appalling, it was a buffet dinner and breakfast. Both meals cold and the dinners uneatable. I notice you have replaced the Royal Albion with the Ship for next year. I read the reviews on TripAdvisor and it doesn't sound a lot better. Time will tell. On the plus side driver, Gordon, was lovely and trips were super. The usual chaos at Burtonwood,of course. Next was Isle of Man, staying at the Hydro. A bit jaded but clean. Our room was tiny but freshly decorated.Food plentiful and really helpful and friendly staff. Trips very good and we saw all of the island. Driver Martin was first class , very friendly and knowledgable. Lastly, Belfast. Really great Ramada Encore hotel. Spotless and modern and near centre. Trips were good , 2 with on-board guides. Tony, our driver was very nice. All three drivers were excellent drivers and we felt safe with the three of them. I feel if Alfa perhaps charged a bit more and had reliably clean hotels and sorted out their change-over depots there would be less comlaints. Just a thought!!!

Well organised if not a little regimented , the leisure-Plex the Shanklin hotel, it very dated, the food a little like canteen food, staff in the restaurant, hardly spoke English, and totally untrained. These tours are not the great value you expect, because the hotels used are bottom end of the market who rely on coach trade to survive, you would not choose one of these hotels in isolation.

just returned from a trip to "Derbyshire Dales" staying at the Jury's Inn Sheffield. beautiful hotel exceptionally clean well decorated with good sized rooms. The two stars reflect a number of things, Poor facilities at Bowburn interchange (nothing new). In my opinion dreadful food at the hotel. Ate out after the first night. Some staff were very nice some rude and unpleasant, This hotel is clearly not geared up for the coaching trade. Alfa try to cram too much into each day visiting two places when one has enough to pass the time available. On the last day we spent more time on the coach than at the places visited. Their own Leisureplex hotels seem to cater better to the coaching trade but are not up to the same decorative standard as the Jury's Inn.

I've just been to the Metropole Hotel in Torquay. Very disappointed as the hotel only opened a week ago and was certainly not ready for paying guests. First impressions were bad as rubbish all dumped in the car park. Everyone was complaining and the issues I had were not resolved. Feel sorry for anyone going there as its a dump and is not ready for paying guests.. Couldn't touch the hand rails on stairs as they were filthy. plumbing problems with water, awful smells and musty, food not great and often cold. The bar wasn't stocked and ran out of drinks to which we were told they are using up old stock before using Alfa suppliers! the ballroom and patio area/gardens were shut. Lounges being used to store mattresses and bedding etc. had to go out at nights to relax in neighboring hotels or stay in my room!! I have been with Alfa twice before and never had a problem. I feel we were used as guinea pigs to trial out this hotel and to point out the problems for Alfa, but we didn't get a discount to reflect this. .? The driver Carl was great and the trips were the only part of the holiday i enjoyed. Wont be recommending Alfa to my friends and relatives; wouldn't want them disappointed like me. I am also taking this up with Head Office.
