I am a little disappointed with the instrument I seem to lose power.ie I continually have to press the button to try to increase the sound strength. I feel embarrassed by having to ask my companion, to repeat what they have just said. I seem to get on better using only one Ear plug at any one time. With both in I seem to get a garballed sound, or wrong interruption of the word used, through not hearing it properly in the first place.

In general very good but there are quite a number of interference problems on both left and right hand devices, sometimes both at the same time which have grown in number and frequency over the period since I have had these new models. The problems may be in part ones of instability or, in most cases, a growth of emissions in the local area and this can be extremely irritating and definitely uncomfortable as well as causing major problems in listening to other sound sources such as people with whom one is trying to have conversation with or other sound sources. This problem certainly needs to be resolved rapidly certainly as far as I am concerned and it certainly detracts from a product which is a marked improvement on its predecessors.

The Widex sound is not as natural as the Phonac was but the automatics are more advanced. The Widex peripherals such as Teledex are weak compared to the Phonac. Overall I wish I had been given more advice before renewing my aid. Amplifon service is much less personal than that given by the Glasgow Hearing Centre.

While I had no problem with the service at the Huddersfield Shop it was apparent within a day or two that the settings were not right for me. Yes I should have gone straight back with it but I was going through a seismic shift in my work and had to try and operate in a manager's role (told for 6 weeks) for nearly 7 months. When I was contacted by "the office" to go for a check etc. I gave notification that I was not at all happy with my aids. To be fair the settings are much better now but I was amazed that with all the technology available the settings were so far from what I need for my surrounds. It is one thing trying them out in a carpeted and quiet room but when one goes out into the "real world" the scene is very much different. As I said it is now much better but I was initially very disappointed.

I was very insecure at the thought of using hearing aids. Those feelings were unfounded. Mr. Barlow at Ampliphon has helped me all the way through the experience. There have been trial and errors, but nothing has been too much trouble. I get an appointment if not the same day, certainly within a few days. Things have now settled down and the correct fittings and settings have been made and is now a joy to be able to hear what is going on around me. My husband is glad that we don`t need to have the television `jumping off the floor` in order fo rme to hear it.

As ever an efficient and review of my auditory acuity, comfort and overall satisfaction with my hearing aids. Adjustments were made and I was supplied with necessary domes for the next 6 months and both batteries and wax filters for a couple of months. All this in a bright, cheerful and friendly environment. A very satisfied customer.

Bill E is excellent. Audiologists tend to be very prescriptive, but I use my aids selectively and he has included features he probably disapproves of but which work for me! The aids are marvellous except for one thing - they frequently cut out (to protect from loud noise) when e.g. someone laughs loudly but they take 2 mins to restore during which time I can't hear anything much... The enormously expensive and sophisticated Widex Dream product is let down by a very obvious lack of awareness of customer needs suggesting low grade management in the central supply chain. As examples: the aid's carrying case has no provision for spare batteries or wax protectors. The Amplifon battery pack is of poor design functionally and absurdly the batteries are colour coded in camouflage brown to make them hard to see if dropped. Attempts to palm off this customer with counterfeit wax defenders that were not easily removed was not appreciated. Supplies of consumables should be available overnight by post. That said I have every confidence in the audiometrician.

I've had amazing service from the team at my local branch. Very friendly, arming and helpful at every step. I've never felt as if anything was any trouble and each visit has been enjoyable. Far better service than I have received from the NHS hearing people!

The staff are very hospitable & friendly. The enviornment is very relaxing & you feel really at ease. There is a wide range of excellent products on offer & your very knowledgable hearing care specialist will advise you on what is best for you. Amplifon I would definately reccomend.

I have previously been using the NHS service, but I decided to go private due to the range of choice available in the private sector. I was very pleased with the service I received the ease of use, the friendly service received the follow up care was excellent. Highly recommended!!

I am at the moment in contact with Amplifon regarding miss-selling of a hearing aid to my uncle. This response is not from Mr Arrowsmith but I am acting on his behalf. I therefore feel it not appropriate at this stage to comment further. What I want to comment on is the lack of published price lists for the hearing aids by the company.

Extremely helpful and very rapid action. Excellent explanation of my needs which matched an NHS assessment in accuracy. NHS could not respond for 6 months. I was forgetting I was wearing my aids very soon after receiving them. Thank you

most impressed . service first class.price could have been a little lower .but like all things you only get what you pay for ! i only wish i had invested in an aid years ago . what a big change it as made to my life !!!

Every aspect of the Amplifon service I have found to be excellent. My hearing aids from Amplifon have truly changed my life. I never realised how disadvantaged I was until I started using them. But the product is only half the story. The care and attention I've had with every aspect of my purchase has been second to none! Thank you Amplifon.

I was impressed by the depth of investigation, analysis and explanation that preceded my purchase. The follow up since has been superb. I didn't expect to benefit from such attentive and knowledgeable service. My hearing aids are unobtrusive and have really made a difference to my working day.
