“So disappointed with them, we had the doors and windows installed, the windows are ok, the doors are leaking we call them out and they always need parts but never come back, they say Covid caused delays. Still under warranty, going to trading standards because so bad.
Don’t use them this is the worst service ever.”
“Please please please do not go with this company. Dishonest and after they give you your quote they will make something up to get more money off you. Plus getting your money back is really hard as they don’t reply to any of your emails and the 0800 number gets through to nobody. Go with a more local company if you can.”
“Initially, prior to installation the service appeared professional and competent, sadly it wasn't the case upon installation and the corrective work needed post installation!
Day of installation - arrived, removed old patio windows and then subsequently realised they had left all the fittings behind in Peterborough ( I'm in Essex) and its Nov.
The resorted to try an refit my old patio windows while they got someone to deliver the missing fittings from Peterborough. ...3hrs later missing parts arrive and the out come my patio doors again.
Seems to be progressing but daylight hours and the fitters starting bemoaning their day and journey back home. They finish but upon their departure we realise the non sliding door wobbles and big draft from gap between frame and door. the trim around the door is bowing and the vent is like a boomerang leaving a big gap and draft.
Contact Anglian Windows the next day and wait 3.5 weeks before a reply, offered an engineer visit to rectify TBC, wait 3 weeks engineer arrives, agrees faults, makes list and leaves.
Wait 3 weeks ...ring customer services to chase and get another works appointment in a months time! ....same engineer turns up! I was told this and that needed to happen on the 1st visit to rectify the errors at installation. As it transpired the rectification involved a sealant gun and some sealant ....Nearly 3 months I wait for poor quality workmanship to be rectified and not even an apology
Not recommended, customer service needs some training.”
“We had Anglian windows installed 30 years ago, they are brilliant and still as good as new.
Now, seeing the 1 star reviews I would not touch them with a barge pole.
I also get, on average, about 10 junk emails from them a day.
Why are they still in business.”
“Please stay away from this shambolic Company! The whole process was a total nightmare, and we just wish we had gone elsewhere! We required new front doors and were promised these would be fitted before Xmas, well that didn’t happen plus SO many issues along the way! How this company has any business is beyond me. Sadly no one was willing to take any accountability even after I raised a formal complaint, all they want is your money! Poor communication, poor processes, awful customer care, unfilled promises – stay away!”
“I Rang Anglian windows as they happened to be the first that popped up. I wanted a 2ft x.5ft casement window a side window positioned in the dining room. I told the lady i was getting water coming into the house as the seals had perished, i was booked in for the following Thursday but on the Tuesday before i recieved a VERY Rude and horrible man telling me the price upfront would be at least £800, and made to feel i couldnt afford it and his telephone manner was Utterly disgusting the way he spoke to me.
Anyway ive got fixed up nicely with Lancashire glazing £355 less than the ridiculous price he told me over the phone, he really couldnt be arsed coming out, that was it!!
DON'T USE.”
“We had our Anglian windows fitted 7 years ago. Since then we have had to replace six handles that broke. One glazing panel that became misty. Had the engineer round twice to try and sort drafts. Anglia use the cheapest product for the highest price. The design of the windows is very poor. Bad thermal properties and poor sound insulation. The fitting was very poor and the frames and sills are covered in condensation due to non or little insulation when fitting. The rubber on the windows is not man enough to stop draughts and the windows are so thin they bend allowing in even more cold air. This is a terrible company with a terrible product. Don’t believe what they tell you. They only want your money and don’t care about a quality product or customer satisfaction. Please take my advise and avoid Anglia Windows.”
“If we could leave minus star rating they woukd get minus 10, Had the salesman out to our new build, told him everything we needed and required for building control, their surveyor come out after to measure up, never heard a thing until 16 days afterwards asking for the signed survey to be returned, which we had never received to which the customer service manager tried telling us we were lying, when the document was emailed over to us and we checked though it, everything had been changed to how the surveyor wanted them the rating of the windows had been changed the design the only thing that was what we had asked for was the front door, every window design had been changed, we emailed the customer service manager with our concerns and we never had a reply from her, we asked them to cancel the contract the salesman called and told us to sign the contract as it was what we had asked for, we said no, cancel it, we then had the area manager call us and said the same it was what we had asked for, then tried threatening us with court processing if we didn't sign the paperwork. We asked for our deposit back which he said he couldn't do as we had left it too late, even though it was their fault as the surveyor was supposed to have
left the paperwork with us, this company is a ripe off too, went to another company and have got the windows for half the price these were going to charge us. I would never recommend Anglian to anyone unless you want to be ripped off and called liers”
“This isn't to do with an Anglian installation but a couple of months ago I was driving my car and was tailgated for about a mile by someone driving an Anglian van. The driver was literally in the boot of my car. On approaching a junction, the driver overtook me when there was a car waiting to turn out of the junction. There was a number on the back of the van to report how the van was being driven. I phoned Anglian and left all the details including the registration and fleet number of the van and I was told that someone would contact me within five working days. I phoned them again after two weeks as I had not heard anything. They apologised and again said that someone would contact me. Now over three weeks later I still haven't heard anything. I am so glad that I now know how badly this company treats people that I would never order anything from them. I feel so sorry for everyone who has spent a lot of time and money on home improvements with this company and be treated so badly.”
“Anglian came and gave us a quote to replace our windows. High pressure tactics from the salesman - lots of discounts that were only available 'today'. Lots of pressure to sign the contract immediately.
We resisted his tactics and got quotes from a couple of other companies - they were less than half the price of Anglian.
Anglian kept phoning up and offering bigger and bigger discounts to get the work. They ended up offering to match the cost of the company we decided to go with - so were willing to reduce the price to less than half of their previous 'heavily discounted' quote.
After this experience I would never give Anglian any business on principle - clearly they were trying it on and out to rip us off for as much as they could get. Avoid.”
“Don't use this company. Had nothing but trouble with them. Door installed minus handles. Faulty from the get go - constantly complained got to the point we couldn't get in or out and had to use the back door. They eventually came out to adjust the hinges did nothing about the lock apart from dw40 but within a week we were locked out at 10pm in the evening and had ti call a locksmith which Anglian are refusing to reimburse”
“Shocking that these scam artists are still operating. They will damage your property beyond repair due to negligence, deny it despite the evidence, and then have the absolute audacity to send threatening letters about non-payment while the dispute is ongoing. Please do not use this company if you value your time, money and sanity.”
“Would not recommend. Soffits and fascias fitted but in the process damaged the mature wisteria on the front of our house. They don’t really care - very poor customer care or follow up. Lots of rubbish left behind too.”
“Awful draughts through windows and doors we had fitted.
The whole experience has been a nightmare from ordering fitting and now 2 years on having to hang a blanket in front of door to stop the draughts!!!”
“If only we read reviews before having Anglian Home Improvements build our conservatory. Anglian stated there would be no problems with the job. All good until the problems started. We accepted “fixes” to get on with the job. We told them we didn’t like the sand/cement filler but wouldn’t change it and still won’t 11 months down the line even though it’s falling out but all they want to do is patch the bits that fall out. We have had confirmation from builders PVC scribed strips should have been used not ugly wide sand/cement filler. Our advice don’t use Anglian Home Improvements if you don’t want blood pressure problems.”
“I have recently had a patio door installed (12th October) The installer's workmanship was not good and the attitude of the Field Manager was very poor. On 13th October, 2023), I noticed the poor workmanship of the installer, Jacek Zielinski and emailed both Paul Mantell, Field Manager and Customer Services with my complaints. I attached photos of the door to both showing the poor workmanship. Customer Services replied very quickly (that same afternoon) and said a member of the regional branch would be in touch in a timely manner. Two weeks have passed and I've not heard from back. In good faith, I paid in full (on 13th October) I am very disappointed in Anglian Home Improvements”
