“Unfortunately Arnold Clark didn't make me happy. I decided not to purchase a car from the MG dealership in Kirkcaldy. The customer service had been good however when I decided not to go ahead with the purchase the sales man told me he would cancel the order and hung up the phone.
It would have been a bit better if the conversation ended better. Clearly just out for the commission and zero interest in my reasons for not going ahead. Training in this area might be beneficial I think.”
“Bought a new car at Arnold Clark Liverpool, sale all went great. After service is awful. Within a few days I had a light on my dashboard which AA came out and sorted. 3 weeks later sensor on wheels went off, took me over 2 hours after being sent from one department to another before I actually got to the department I needed. Then I was told I had to drive my car on a 40 mile per hour road for 15 minutes & my car would automatically reset. This has happened twice now & the light is still on my car and hasn’t reset. Finally got an appointment to get it looked at in 3 weeks time, then I was told it may cost me £99 as it may not be under warranty!”
“Bought a car
Trusted Arnold Clarke’s pre delivery inspection
What a mistake
Too busy in workshop to investigate
Plus a £120 charge
All on a car with 20000 miles
And only owned 5 months and 500 miles
Faulty suspension and
Poor fuel economy
1979 trading standards act needs to be applied”
“Bought a car from Arnold Clark motorstore Inverness on Wednesday 25th September from Steven Murphy probably the best person I ever dealt with helpful understanding nothing was a problem. Thankyou Steven. What a credit to the company”
“Purchased a 15 months old car from Arnold Clark last july.. after 2 months the front o/s wing had come loose from one of the brackets, but no interest from salesperson at all.... but when the repair was done I was told the wing had previously been removed!!
I have recently had minor damage to rear boot hatch and local body shop noticed a hole drilled into bodywork where a "cheap" repair had previously been made to repair a dent and instead of removing the trim to access they had drilled a 10mm hole into the metal and "pushed" it out..!
I wonder what else is "hidden" in a supposedly low mileage car...
Do I have faith in Arnold Clark to be honest about repairs made before purchase - Not at all”
