Very poor only because I can't say anything worse, I recommend anyone thinking of taking out monthly insurance to try elsewhere, because if you cancel they will fleece you, as they have me !

I was reasonably happy with Autonet initially, and they dealt with a claim and transfer of insurance to a new vehicle without a problem. However a subsequent issue has arisen which has left me severely disappointed and concerned in relation to this company and I will not be renewing with them. When I took out the insurance with them, I was specifically asked about towing a trailer and I informed them that I had a trailer and used it regularly. this was fine and they confirmed that the trailer was covered albeit third party only. They then sold me an add on breakdown cover with the RAC. What they didn't tell me was that this cover specifically did not cover my trailer. Only when my trailer broke on holiday several hundred miles from home, was I informed that my breakdown cover did not cover anything happening to the trailer. RAC advised me that they do an add on trailer cover product, but Autonet did not offer me this, nor send me any terms and conditions of the RAC cover, nor advise me that I needed the trailer covering as it was not covered by the product they sold me! As a result, I either had to pay for the trailer to be recovered myself (extortionate collection and then mileage costs) try and get it mended (tricky as it couldn't be towed and I was on a camp site, and due to depart that day) or leave it behind and find another way to get everything home. Autonet left me to it, and didn't accept that they had sold me a breakdown product that was not suitable for me as I was likely to be towing a trailer. We ended up sending some of the family home on the train, re packing the car with the trailer stuff and abandoning it on the campsite. The last day of our holiday was ruined, and we now don't have a trailer, broken or otherwise. By contrast, my last insurer Hastings Direct did everything they could to get my family home when they broke down just short of their destination, and couldn't get the car repaired. Sorry Autonet - not what I call good customer service - complaint to the insurance ombudsman on its way, for reimbursement of train fare and lost trailer!

Biggest bunch of thieves under the sun. They are only interested in taking money off people, and they don't care how they do it. Avoid them at all costs!

Went online to go compare, gave excact details on website. Came to pay deposit and price had changed and went up even giving same details etc. After almost half a day on the phone at my cost, they agreed the original quote price. Bought a brand new vehicle and the price went up by almost £300. Spent another day in phone at an premium rate phone number. Paid all instalments as per agreements for the first 3 months, got a quote with my previous insurance provider for £300 cheaper. Autonet then took £93 off my debit card WITHOUT my permission, I reclaimed it back through my bank. This company blamed their underwriters for the extra rise in premium and said they could not match what my previous insurer quoted and honoured online. Avoid AUTONET INSURANCE !!!! Liars, cheats, premium call charges, taken money off my debit card without my permission or authority.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CRIMINALS . BEWARE DO NOT USE THEM. I would not even give then one star. THEY HAVE JUST STOLEN 110 POUNDS FROM ME AND LEFT ME STRANDED WITH NO INSURANCE MILES AWAY FROM HOME. VERY RUDE PATRONISING SALES ADVISORS I am not exaggerating but I have never dealt with such a rude dishonest company. I took out a policy with them and after 14 days I received a letter to say my Policy had been cancelled. They advised me that they had not received my Proof of No claims Bonus. I have no way of proving that I sent it. I sent it by post. There was no reminder after 7 days so I believe they deliberately waited to cancel my Policy. LEGITIMATE INSURANCE COMPANIES SHOULD NOT OPERATE THIS WAY.

I found the service from autonet very poor. I renewed online and recieved my documents. Then they informed me ineeded to pay a further amount and gave me a link to do this. I followed the link and found someone elses name address and credit card detail already submitted on the form! clearly a lack of security on their website! i added my details and paid the extra amount. They said i did not! i waited a while to see if it did come out my account. During this wait i they cancelled my insurance and paid me less than half the money back. They customer service is slow and rude. Now with vanline direct no problems.

Following my telephone call to inform Autonet that i was not needing to renew my insurance with them due to no longer having the vehicle on the road (which DVLA have record of) . They continued to renew my Insurance, re staring the Direct debit which i had cancelled with my bank then sending me letters stating i owe £200 + in cancellation charges. I have refused and stated my reasons, i now get 3 letters per week, 5 phone calls, text messages all stating that unless i contact and pay they will proceed.

DO NOT USE THEM. They will squeeze as much money from you as they can. They debited my account without my knowledge and when I called customer service (0844 number costing me a fortune over £30) they said it was not them and they could not justify it. But I have bank statment to evidence it. They cancelled my insurance as they said I should have declared an ongoing claim (still being investigated) as "At Fault" and not "Not at Fault". The claim was still being investigated and I was not at fault. They added an extra +230 to my premium but still cancelled my insurance. Now they want me to pay for cancellation fee. They refuse to waive the cancellation fee despite not being the one cancelling the policy. I never write reviewed but I feel other people should be aware of rude and unprofessional company like them. Advisors are rude, very unhelpful and patronising. Hope they run out of business and close down. Hassan.A

Wish I could give 1 star, or a minus number. Seems cheap (my insurance is about £400/year) but they will fleece you. 1 minor error on the details I gave them cost me £85. They also tried to charge me another £85 for something else which I had to prove was an error on their part by trawling through old insurance documents from 4 and a half years ago. Thank god I had kept them. It quickly became apparent to me that the way this company conducts its business is highly questionable so I looked into cancelling. To cancel 15 days in to the policy (couldn't get through on the phone on the 14th day) would cost £135. So that would make it £220 for about 2 weeks cover (the £85 plus the £135) if I decide to cancel. Though this is expensive I am considering it as god only knows what kind of service I might receive and what extortionate hidden costs I might incur should I actually need to call upon their services one day. You know when an offer seems too good to be true...?

Autonet were a complete nightmare I wasted hours of time, sending documents/phoning their joke of a customer service/being put on hold.No other Insurance company in the 25 years of driving have ever needed any of the documentation they required.I can only imagine how bad making a claim would be. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This company completely failed to address problems I was having with their system. I find it difficult to believe that this company was as good as what they claim. Their is no showing of your complaint or correspondence. Any complaints are guarded only a the odd one gets through. I found another person with the same complaints as me. It is clear why they do not show all complaints as customers are not as valued as the cash. There are cheaper about that offer better quality. Avoid at all costs

Autonet insurance are the worst company I have ever dealt with, I changed vehicle and got hit with outrageous admin fees I changed to a similar van from 1.7 to a 1.9 the policy doubled in price. I told them I didn't want to have my policy renewed at the end of the year I was assured they would not auto renew it they did. 6 months into the 2nd year the van broke down so I bought a car rang up to change it over they wouldn't change it from a van to a car and to cancel the policy was 85 percent of what was left on the premium plus there cancellation fee there was 590 left to pay on the policy to cancel it was 540. DO NOT USE AUTONET
