TERRIBLE handling of a motor claim. Sept 2022 car reversed into me, damaged to their car, none to mine. Reported & advised they will handle everything for and get in touch as often it ends a 50:50 claim without witnesses. Reassured that they will contact for more detailed info and progression of claim. If I didn’t hear from them it was likely the other party didn’t make a claim or I’m not ‘at fault’. They would fight my case. ….fast forward April 2024. ZERO calls, emails, letters re above. Random email stating that my NCD is affected and claim was ‘fault’ and this will affect my upcoming renewal. Long call later, seems they closed the case late Dec 2023. 2 letters on system Nov 2023 offering me an opportunity to dispute blame that we not actually sent (their system shows this too!) There was no representation on my part at all, just costs discussed between third party. Livid is an understatement. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years, but this demonstrates how poorly you are treated. Raised as a complaint, but have little faith in their ability and integrity. Stay well away.

Total scam. I have trained driving and get 100 on most criteria ( speed, acceleration, cornering, braking and distracted driving) but they use a criteria they call context to reduce your score regardless of what they say. I left Toronto with a 96 out of 100 average and am on vacation in Turks and Caicos and not driving. I do not have a car I take a taxi and say passenger the app has reduced my average to 87 out of 100? Same for.my wife who was at 97/100 and is now 85...unbelievable!

I had the worst experience with them. Unfortunately, we have to do car insurance we don't have a choice. "I have been waiting for over 20 months for my no-claim bonus to be returned while dealing with a claim with them. There has been no direct contact with them and no feedback from their correspondent. It is unclear how they are treating customers with no accountability from all parties involved." "I would give a score of zero if it were possible."

My car got flooded on the 6th of October 2023, I lodged a laim with Aviva on the 20th of October 2023. Its now Easter 2024, the 28th of May a full 5 months later and zero response. DO NOT INSURE THROUGH AVIVA.

Worse insurance company I have come across with. They were liable for the accident that my car was involved. They said don’t worry we will sort everything out for you. Shocking service where they left me in a massive disadvantage as they have undervalued my car. I have asked for the engineer evaluation report which was never sent. They ignored my emails. They sent me apparently 2 errrors where they offered me a better deal/value and when I called to confirm they told me it was an error and that’s it they won’t negotiate. That’s the only offer either I take it or the other only option would be it I take them to court. Their customer service and staff very rude. Literally laughing to me over the phone. I thought the All point of insurance companies is to leave me/us in the same position as I was prior the accident specially when they are fully responsable for my car damage. Do not use Aviva.

With insurance the real test is when you need them. Held income protection with Aviva for years, never needed it. When I did need it I couldn't claim as being able to walk, talk, write, bend and read, means I'm not sick enough, despite suffering with exhaustion and brain fog which stop me from working.

DIABOLICAL EXPERIENCE, 6 MONTHS NO REPLY I received a letter to say I had an assurance policy i could cash in. I had forgotten about this Friends Provident policy. At the time I was dealing with my mum’s estate and I mislaid the letter. On 3/10/23 I decided to make an enquiry, wanting to trace this letter so I filled in the online form. i received a reply asking for more information, which I supplied. The email I received assured me that someone would be in touch shortly - silence, I was ignored, no reply. I followed up on 11/11/23 asking for an update - ignored, no reply. I telephoned on 27/11/23, the assistant was very polite and said she would put my information through again and that it would be picked up in 5 weeks and I would hear back in a few days - ignored, no reply. 29/12/23 I filled in a complaints form and it said Aviva would reply in 8 weeks - not a hope in hell - 10 weeks - ignored - no reply. This makes it a total 6 months of being ignored. I feel that I have been discriminated against and the whole diabolical experience has made me ill, it has caused me stress and mental anguish. To put it into context at the same time I cashed in a pension and it took less than 4 weeks from beginning to end - not with Aviva obviously! And I am in the process of selling and buying a property that is taking half the amount of time. This has to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with - and they do not care. they are totally lacking in any empathy

My pension was wrong due to no indexation being applied when taken over from Norwich union in 20029. Two years later, endless calls, emails, additional payments, complaint to the ombudsman and it is still wrong. At the end of every one of the 15 or so calls I have made I have been told "Someone will call you back within 48 hours, this situation will be expedited within ten working days." ( this has not happened once) Even a letter (two months ago) to the CEO Amanda Blanc hasnt resolved the issue despite the reply I received claiming "this will be dealt with as a matter of urgency." They are a bunch of incompetent clowns- avoid at all costs.

Took out life insurance and serious illness cover 15 years ago. 3 years ago diagnosed with cancer and chronic heart disease. Given 12 months to live. Fought the cancer and heart disease for 2 1/2 years but recently found out that the cancers won and I’ll die soon. Contacted Aviva to make a claim and they informed me that they would NOT pay me the £250000 settlement because I have to have 18 months left on my policy and I only have 10 months. I’m devastated. Last week I was told my life was ending, this week Aviva have scammed my wife and kids out of a quarter of a million pounds. The only way to get what they owe is to refuse treatment and hope I die before the 10 months is up. What a shameful heartless disgusting Company.

Never take out a life insurance policy with this company. My dad died when I was 4 and I have had this policy for 30+years, when I finally came to surrender 6 months ago.. I am still going through the process. Don't expect your funds to be liquid or issued in a timely manner. They actively delay the process and are not clear on what documents you need. They even asked me for payslips to prove the insurance policy was mine... for my dead father who passed away 30 years ago?? Yes sure?! Totally dodgy. AVOID! Don't pass on the stress to your family.

I have been trying for 2 hours to make contact with a person who can advise me why my policy is not showing up on the MyAviva app. I have tried every number I can find and every one diverts to a pre recording which points back to their chat bot. I eventually figured out how to asl enough correct questions that I made contact with an onlineChat agent and she was very helpful but by that stage I was frustrated beyond reason.
