Our young daughter moved into her first apartment and ordered a bed and mattress package from them back in October. The wrong size mattress was delivered and 2 of the drawers underneath were broken. A date was arranged for the new mattress and drawers. Drivers turned up late at 9pm, told my daughter that were taking the bed and mattress and left her with a new mattress and a large box. She assumed they were replacing the base completely. When she unpacked the box it was just 2 drawers and not a complete base. She emailed customer service straight away that night to say that the drivers had taken the base away. We have now been told that they have no record of the base being taken and they are asking for us to take more costs if we want a replacement base. Bedstar are taking no responsibility for the matter and are blaming their outsourcing of the delivery company. We keep being told that it's under investigation and again that if we want a base we have to pay a cost. We have written to the owners and with no outcome we are going to trading standards now. Our daughter is a civil servant working long hours and is having to sleep with the mattress on the floor, along with 2 useless drawers and no base. Avoid ordering from this company! *I will amend my review accordingly as and when we get closure*

Sleeping on the floor Terrible experience. Ordered a new matrasses with an additional removal service for the old one, all was scheduled for the same day. Removal service turned up and collected the matrasses, but the delivery for the new matrasses never showed up. So now we here without any matrasses and Bedstar customer service is completely useless, has no idea what happened and when our matrasses will be delivered. Moreover they will but shut for the next 5 days... Bedstar apparently not keeping stock of the matrasses just a middleman service working with other suppliers, different one for removals and different one for deliveries. Seems like can't coordinate them well enough. Should have chosen a well established shop, might be a bit more expensive but wouldn't have to sleep a week on the floor

What a shambles of a business bedstar and its delivery company Panther are! I bought a bed frame that should come in 3 boxes. Only 2 boxes delivered to me. Called panther, they said bedstar never sent them the third box. Called bedstar, they said panther received it but failed to scan it. I complained and got told the third box will be delivered the day after. Nothing delivered. Called again, same story. I only bought this stupid bed because of guests coming over for Christmas. Now I have to take them to a hotel. Thank you bedstar for messing up all my Christmas plans. Never again bedstar.

Even with 50% off they are still dear I can buy Dorma & Myers etc for far less.

Since September I am waiting for my bed which was “on stock “ when I placed the order , then I’ve been told a mistake happened is not on stock as it shows on the website and I need to wait a month , in October I was told again to wait another month and in November same thing happened…. My bed will be with me hopefully middle of December, just I have been told …no compensation will be given for the horrific service …very disappointing

£907 paid to @bedstaruk by my 86 yr old mum 1st drop no bed base, 2nd drop base damaged, 3rd drop to wrong address, 4th drop damaged again ! Offered free delivery an some pillows + £20 doesn’t even cover the cost of the temporary frame we had to buy from IKEA.

I was looking to buy one of the more expensive super king beds with mattress, however after reading the poor reviews on the bad customer service here I decided against it and will look elsewhere.

I would not put any star if I could, due to opacity of terms and condition which does not specify exact amount the charge for cancellation. I ordered an incorrect bed and wanted to replace it to correct one before the delivery. Over the phone, I was advised that I would not be charged for replacement as I have not received the bed. However, today I found that BedStar charged me £55.00 for the cancellation. This charge has not been specified anywhere on the website and contract, and I would reconsider my order if I knew about such cost. The cancellation cost of £55 would not change if you order a bed for £200 or £1000, which I think is not fair and not correctly reflected on public domain and contract. I would recommend potential buyers to carefully think about this before placing any order with this company.

Absolutely appalling customer service. I paid £50 for my old bed frame and mattress to be taken away. When they came to pick it up, they said they could only take a maximum of 5 items, including the mattress. What it actually says on the website and on the email is that they will collect 5 consignments, which the dictionary defines as “a batch of goods”. Just because I hadn’t bagged and wrapped all of the individual pieces (headboard, frame, slats, drawers etc.) together into bundles (I live on my own and trying to do this with a king size bed frame and mattress by myself is almost impossible) they absolutely refused to take any more than 5 pieces, so I was left with half a bed remaining, which I had to dispose of myself. I called Bedstar and explained, thinking that if they offered me a £25 refund as a goodwill gesture or offered to send somebody else to collect what was left, that would be lovely. Instead, the lady I spoke to was incredibly rude, not at all empathetic and downright unprofessional to the point that I hung up the phone and burst into tears. I’ve spent my entire afternoon disposing of what was left of my old bed and building my new bed. This situation could have been so easily rectified and had they attempted to make this right, I absolutely would have given them 5 stars because the bed itself looks great, is super comfy and is a very reasonable price.

Absolutely disgusting company! I was sold a bed frame and matress 11 months ago. I noticed a few weeks ago they wooden slats had gone mouldy (clearly not treated correctly). They state ALL products have a 12 mo th warranty but I was told any replacements I would be charged for! How can they feel OK selling beds in this state and they make someone pay again!! Would not touch with a barge pole!

Awful, ordered a bed, it arrived, great 😊 however no fixings, called to inform them, asked for a callback as obviously I need the fixings, heard nothing as yet 0 out of 10👎👎👎😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬

Remember that you buy here on your luck. If you are not lucky enough and do not get the right thing, then they will never replace it. And if they say that they would, then they will ask you one million questions. I bought both the bed and the mattress. Now there is a big gap between the bedframe and the mattress. I requested them and provided everything they asked. They asked me for pictures. i provided. They asked me for measurement, I also provided that. then they ask me to take the picture from a distance. I did that. Then they said that they cannot accept the devise I used to measure. (As though they could not see the pictures). Worst ever customer service I have come across.

Paid extra for a Saturday delivery but the beds never arrived and I haven't heard from Bedstar. I stayed in all day waiting for the delivery and then our guests had to sleep on the floor.

Delivered the wrong mattresses and has proven difficult to get it resolved and to add to it they wanted to charge me £80 for a Saturday delivery just to add to it. Waiting to hear from John Stalker but no response so far

Guests arriving imminently. Had a problem with poorly engineered 'designer' bed ordered from Bedstar, so called to try and resolve problem. Spoke to Gareth who brick-walled me with a defensive attitude and layers of red tape; instructed to do so by line-manager Christine. Happy to take my money but not happy trying to be helpful humans after the event. I won't be using Bedstar again, or recommending them.

Products are more expensive for the quality you get. You may think the premium is for next day delivery.. but the supply chain of this company is not the most efficient. I will suggest to stay off this company till they fix their supply chain. The sole reason for me buying the overpriced bed ( giltedge stromness king size) for £800/- and with mattress for £1150/- because of the promise of short delivery. Please do note there are better quality beds out there which are cheaper. My bed was delivered yesterday with part of it missing ( not legs/ hooks or a clip.. but half of the base!) . The delivery is managed by a company called Panther. After delivering my partial order yesterday the team tells me this morning that the missing item is in Leeds. ( delivery location is london). They will Call me after 24-48 hours to schedule the delivery. ( not to send the rest of the bed, in 24-48 hours.. after 24-48 hours the delivery will be scheduled.) By comparison there are a lot of other companies ( ikea, dreams) who do not over commit and deliver when they promise. Apparently I stumbled upon a lot of similar frustrated reviews with delivery for the company. So surely they need to fix this.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I would give this company zero stars if I had the option. If you can get them to answer the phone or reply to your email you’re lucky. They’re rude and incompetent. I ordered a bed frame costing just short of £1000. They have delivered me two faulty beds. The first arrived in two completely different colours and missing half of it and the second arrived damaged on every part. They take no responsibility and don’t even apologise let alone compensate you for your wasted time. The courier service they use are awful and take no care in your home. They can’t seem to stick to deliver slots either causing so much inconvenience due to work. I had the misfortune of having to deal with Kathryn a ‘customer service rep’ just the status is insulting. She is the most ignorant and rude woman I have ever encountered. She told me she was ‘loosing the will to live’ with me over the phone. All I wanted was the bed I had paid for and for it to not have been covered in rips. Her ‘manager’ Cristina isn’t much better, she purposely won’t reply to emails until 5pm as not to deal with you. The pair of them refused to organise collection of last faulty bed until I had sent photos of it re wrapped. Even though I confirmed I would do this but had to wait until I had a second pair of hands that evening. Delaying it even further!! I now have to fight to get my refund. They shouldn’t be trading, utter shambles and so infuriating.
