“Never have I ever experienced such poor customer service, so rude and couldn’t care less I hadn’t received my item- repeatedly called me stupid for not having the item. Item eventually arrived dead- not sure if Royal Mail or Beechwood issue but they didn’t care. They threatened me in emails; have been in contact with police regarding this company and trading standards. Just glad I didn’t spend much there. Avoid at all costs”

I t came and I followed all instructions, but the tree is dead, it is just in the same state as when it arrived with tiny tiny buds on the stem and that is how it has stayed, obviously dead before it was sent out, and you cannot get a telephone number for them we now know why”

Silver Birch 5 / 6 ft stunning mature specimen tree, Betula Pendula, but since getting and planting , it’s hasn’t shown any signs of growth, I contacted Beechwood Nurseries Ltd in early May, I was told the tree is dormant because of a cold spring and with warmer weather that should encourage growth , so again contacted Beechwood Nurseries Ltd in the middle of May , on this occasion advised to take photo of trunk with scraping away some of the bark, again Beechwood Nurseries Ltd suggested the tree is alive and report again if nothing chang.
I reported back in the middle of June because since planting this tree, growth has been nil, Beechwood Nurseries asked for another photograph because wanted to see if I had planted it correctly. I have asked for a refund under the consumer rights act 2015. I encourage other potential customers looking for trees to be very careful with buying anything from Beechwood Nurseries Ltd , because what they described as a stunning specimen wasn’t very truthful and honest by trade descriptions.”
“I bought a birch pendula tree in March believing it was going too be a special occasion, yet since it’s been delivered and planted, this tree is completely dead, I had too send Beechwood Nurseries a photo for an example for apparently someone in horticulture suggesting it was growing, Beechwood Nurseries needs to be avoided so don’t waste your money”
“I purchased 50 hawthorn trees via eBay. They arrived 10 February '21, and I planted them by March 1st. I wrote to them on 6 April that they showed no signs of life, again on 29 April, and was told that the plants were 'dormant' and I should be patient. On 20th May, I asked for a refund as they all appeared to be dead. I was told I was an idiot to have planted them where I did (in the ground amongst grass) and that there is no refund for incompetence! Buy here at your peril. They take your money and sell you rubbish, and insult you for good measure. Avoid.”

The email correspondance has gone on for weeks and I feel they have treated me like an idiot, the Acer only cost £13, so I'm not sure why they are reluctant

“Tree arrived 2 foot shorter than originally bought at price advertised when queried was told prices were increased so sent shorter tree!! I needed a tall tree I was advised couldn’t return so basically had to like it or lump it spent £34.00 on a tree I can’t use and it never survived the awful cling film wrap it was sent through the post with - Will not use this nursery again. “Bought 70no 120-150 beech hedges, bushy and well rooted. My issue is the largest plants I have received are 120cm. The majority are 110-120. The smallest bringing 100-110.
When I questioned at first, I was told I had planted them to deep.
And the second time I contacted they said the overall size includes the roots.
I have worked in the gardening and construction industry for over 30 years and I have never heard such nonsense. Plants are measured from ground.
I thought it was a genuine mistake, and it turns out they are just scam artists.

Needless to say, it won't stand up and is certainly no use as a heavy bearing fruit tree. Appalling customer service. Far better off planting your money in the ground, than handing it over to them”
“Bought two small lemon trees last year for my mum and I. Followed google instructions with weekly citrus feed from Homebase. One year late WOW! See photo! Also got a 5 ft bare root cherry tree November 2020 and planted it on a good cold day about a week after I got it. Buds are just coming out 4 months later. Lovely shape. Looking forward to the blooms. Also 3 rose bushes at same time with buds coming out. Surprised and shocked at the negativity on here when Ive had consistently good products, packaging and service. Packaging for my mum was lovely. Think there’s a bit of a vendetta towards this company? The plants make there way up to the north coast absolutely fine!”

I ordered 33 red robins, 20-40cm, most were twigs at 10cm high the others bearly 20cm, I emailed then and they said they have been pruned to grown wider???
