My last review was removed for reasons unknown, I no longer trust this company, full of lies and false promises. It has been 49 days since the date of my order and I am still waiting for £70 worth of the £180 order to arrive. Living in hope but not very hopeful..

I ordered a beer advent calendar on 22nd October and choose the delivery date of 1st November. We waited in this delivery and it did not arrived. I contacted the company a few days later and received a reply stating my order would be delivered in a few days with a :-) at the end of the email. This made me even more frustrated as I had already stated I was not happy. Further emails I received did not have a name at the end so I do not knowmwho I was talking to. I was promised more and more delivery dates with a 100% guarantee it would arrive today, if not today, tomorrow, etc! I was concerned I had fallen victim to a scam so contacted watchdog. I have since got my money back. I do not trust this company. There is a serious lack of customer service and communications are extremely poor. Promises are continually broken.

My second order from these guys, again everything perfect. They seem to have resolved their issues and I would recomnend any newcomers to give them a chance.

Am still awaiting my advent calender. Only had once response to several emails to say I would receive it today and still no parcel. The serious lack of communication is shocking especially when they have already taken the monies from my bank account. I am not impressed at all.

Paid for a fast delivery, no sign of the order, called and was promised a different delivery day and still nothing. I still don't know if/when I'll get my order.

i had the same problem with the delivery, the delivery expectations are not managed properly at all. i am very disappointed and still don't know if the package is going to be delivered. I wouldn't recommend, very poor service

I ordered the Beer Advent Calendar as a gift for my boyfriend. I was impressed that I could specify the delivery date. I am a teacher and can't take time off obviously so chose a date in half-term. Then I received an email to say the calendar would be delayed. I rang to ask what would happen. We agreed this would be delivered on a Saturday however one Friday at 7.30am I received both a text and email so say the calendar would be delivered that day. There was nothing I could do - the calendar had already been despatched. Fortunately, a neighbour happened to be in and took delivery for me. I am less than impressed with the despatch and delivery service needless to say. My boyfriend loved the gift and has ordered two as presents for friends and family. It is for this reason that I have rated three stars otherwise it would have been less. Beer Hawk need to take greater effort with customer service. I remain unsure as to whether I would order from this company again. There are many supplying craft beer products and with high levels of competition I will shop around in future.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered two weeks ago, phoned after four days to check they received order. They promised me the beer another four days later. Phoned four days later and mentioned the beer was a birthday gift for the next day. They apologised again and guaranteed me delivery for the next day. 24 hours later I receive a despatch email stating I'll receive in two days. Still nothing. What a let down.

I too ordered the advent calendar which was due on the 18th of October it's now the 19th of November and I'm still waiting. It's been six weeks since I placed my order. Shocking customer service. On contacting them I've been told "It'll be with you tomorrow," "A bottle broke so it was returned," and "the couriers have it." Clearly it has never been sent, I've since asked for a refund to which they've not responded... Avoid like the plague better companies out there.

I was due to take delivery of the advent calendar on 4th November and a fortnight later still no calendar. I have contacted BH twice and each time received really lame excuses - the first time one of the beers had been delayed, the second time it had been damaged and returned, though no dispatch notification had been sent for either. Basically, I was fobbed off twice! Given that the product wasn't cheap either I'd recommend that people go elsewhere. Find a reliable company that fulfils its orders. I was shocked when I read the number of negative reviews on here. If your couriers were really bad, I think they'd have gone out of business! I shall be asking for a refund, though I'm not sure I'll get one.

Ordered the advent calendar. Due on 7th November. Then promised by the 14th but that did not show up too. I feel like it's taken the fun out of an expensive treat.

They shipped the beer to the billing address rather than the shipping address. Still awaiting delivery to the correct address 16 days later.

Have to say I'm impressed with Beer Hawk! These guys(and gals) are great, I live in Ireland so often have to pay insane postage when I order beer, but these guys(and gals)... to ship nearly 50 bottles over was only £5! Normally it would be £10 but my order was over £50 (obviously when I was ordering nearly 50 bottles) so I only had to pay a fiver. Other UK based company's charge £15-£20, and even a company I live 30 minutes away from charge £5 a box so I was delighted :) As for customer service, I can't really fault them. There was a delay in the stock for the advent box so I dropped them a quick message to see what was happening as I was going abroad. Got a response in an hour... can't beat that. My order arrived in 2 shipments, one on Monday and the other yesterday (Tuesday). Might be a problem for some but I was lucky and knew someone was home. Only thing here was I didn't get an email or message to say it had been shipped, I knew roughly from talking to customer service a few days before. The packaging of the beer itself was pretty good, maybe could have spaced the bottles a bit better between the boxes. One box had 15 and another had 4. That said, I checked everything and there were no damaged or broken bottles (even more impressive since it was shipped to Ireland). I'd ordered a bunch of gluten free beers too (my other half is coeliac), was nice to see somewhere stocking a few different types (though most of them are Greens). He normally gets stuck with Estrella Damm Daura so this is a real treat. Would be nice to see even more gluten free beers in stock, more of the Mikkellers especially. I'll definitely be ordering again... it just might take me a while to get through my current order :)

I took yesterday off work as I had pre-ordered the advent calendar for delivery, I waited in all day and it never arrived. Payment was taken in Oct when I ordered. I emailed them yesterday (Monday), no response today and still no calendar. I have emailed again today. I await to hear the story of what happened.

Order placed 28th October for delivery in three working days. I am still thirsty and no contact back from Customer Services. If you cannot fulfil, please return my £55.

Given a voucher by a relative but not drinking now so asked if I could have a refund (minus a small handling charge). They initially said yes, twice, then changed their mind and said no. They then said they could only refund the gift giver but as I didn't want to offend the giver, I had to order drink that I didn't really want and which was a bit pricey in my opinion. Not very good at all in this day and age.

I researched and placed my order, only to call up and told it had been cancelled with no reason given. The order could not be automatically placed again, instead the customer services gave me a list of what I ordered for me to go online and place the order again. Which is quite inconvenient and time consuming. It was also for a birthday present and now over a week late. I go online this morning to re-order and the site isn't working, I am unable to add anything to basket. They have a good selection of beer but the order process needs drastic improvements. I havent managed to try any beer yet!!
